There are soooo many notetaking apps that it's become difficult to keep track of them all or know how the features compare. It would be cool if you did a video sorting through the main terminal note-taking apps and comparing them. Kind of like a note-taking shootout.
Seriously dude, if you do a terminal note-taking app shootout, that's a video I would watch.
I really like how you made fzf not just a file picker, but a menu, very cool!

@gotbletu - Glad your back. By the way, are you using a Tiling WM, or XFCE? If its a TWM please share it.
tmux is my tiling wm for terminal programs.
i mainly use 1 GUI web browser so dont need GUI tiling but if i did, xfce has hotkeys for that too
Regarding your search saroo at the end, I built a function that could convert that too an fzf with preview if you want to collaborate.
Also, the info page could be turned into an fzf with headers as choices with preview to the right. I've gotba function for this too.

This is great CLI/Terminal so similar to Markor which i use on Android (fdroid)
Do you have a restriction set for the directory portion of the filenames say for when you're specifying a new directory either inline or from command line?
Just worried about inadvertantly going back out of the 'top' level and deleting or overwriting directories and files.
it won't overwrite it will just open it if it exist already
An alternative to bat could be vim's view command.
@@adriansrfr well this script works with any text editor, dont want to force people to install vim just for that
@gotbletu , if it's linux, then I don't think any distribution is without vim. However, most if not all don't have bat. No guarantee it would work, however.

I'd upgrade the text files to markdown. All the speed of text files with eye candy

@@gotbletu The obvious solution for 2) would be not to drink, or 1000 times simplier and easier, just back off from the mike when you drink and swallow, I think you could find this obvious, without requiring much neurons, at least when you wanna respect your audience, but, hey, why would you respect us anyway ?
