    Congratulations! It runs really well. Did you move the prop or trim tabs? My stock FT012 was way more frantic. But, I had a little more wind and waves.

      Thank you. I left the trim tabs stock and run the stock prop. The boat is definitely a lot faster and more fun to drive now.

    Hi awsome boat I’ve also just purchased a ft012 and looking to put the ft011 motor in it
    Did you use the standard cooling bar or did you modify it? Cheers steve

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад

      I used the cooling bar from the ft012. If I remember correctly, I had to open the holes up a little so it would fit. Best of luck to you. Thanks for the comment.

    Did you use the stock servo or is that out of the bigger boat also? Are you using the FT011 xmtr or the FT012?

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  4 года назад

      The servo is the stock servo that came with the ft12. The motor, esc, and battery are from the ft11

    How hard is it to replace a motor? say in a udi009? Trying to go brushless

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад

      Turppa21 I'm not familiar with a udi009 but in general it's fairly easy to swap motors in rc boats. Just choose a brushless that has the same dimensions as the motor that you are removing. Pick an armature wind that gives you the power and speed that you are going for. Take your time and make sure everything you put in is aligned nice and straight. You will definitely get a huge power and speed boost with a brushless motor instead of a brushed motor. Best of luck to you and have fun!

      It's the stock ft12 prop, it just turns a lot more rpm with the bigger motor and 4S.

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад

      Thank you, yes it definitely makes the Ft012 much faster and much more fun. Just make sure the lids are both latched fully. I was running an Ft011 a few days ago and both lids came off in a flip. Neither the Ft012 or the Ft011 have flotation. The Ft011 filled with water and sank. It's on the bottom of the lake!

      I used the 2400kv motor and speed control from an ft11 and run 4S. I'm sure there are plenty of other set ups that would really wake the boat up nicely but the set up in the video is the only one I have used so far.

    • @FAKE-NAME
      @FAKE-NAME 4 года назад +2

      Sorry for the rant...I think people complain because they forget how bad it used to be.. but personally I think it's about dam time we get something that's reasonably fast and somewhat cheap. When I was younger rc was insanely expensive heck half the cars had tethers to the controllers lmfao what a joke those "rc's" where. After the tether cars came actual rc's.... but anything hobby grade was insanely expensive and not that great and toy grade was so bad they where just a waste of $ and I got out of the hobby for years because of it. Over the last few years I've been noticing huge development in the cheaper toy grade rc's like lexan bodies,4x4, lipo, stronger chassis, 4 link setups etc. So..... I'm thinking the rc industry is finally improving little by little, maybe in another 10 years we'll see toy grade rc's that match today's hobby grade stuff . With out the people that complain the rc companies would have just kept making crap and we would have never got the ft series

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  3 года назад +2

      I don't think it has to be a ft012 esc, just use any esc that has specs close to the original. There are all kinds esc's to choose from. Hope this helps.

    I noticed a piece on the back that steers the boat is very loose from the factory could you help me on what to do to fix that

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, all those feilun boats seem to come that way, I've fixed 5 so far, my friends are buying them. Just remove the screws, sand down half of those little round plastic tabs on the hull that the rudder bracket fits over, then put the same screws back in using small washers. This will make that rudder bracket nice and snug. It's a very easy and quick fix. Best of luck to you and happy rc boating!

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад

      You can move the steering linkage at the rudder in to the closest hole to the rudder. Also you can move the other end of the linkage to the outer most hole of the servo horn. This will give you the most rudder travel. Best of luck to you and have fun!

    • @stuntinonem1013
      @stuntinonem1013  5 лет назад

      Also, make sure both lids are latched tightly. I recently had a ft11 sink on me because both lids came off in a flip. These Feilun boats have no flotation in them so when it filled with water, down it went. That particular ft11 is gone for good. It's on the bottom of the lake so make SURE your lids can't come off!

    • @usasupra23

      Thanks pal, let me see what the default hole it came with and try a closer holo. Currently it won’t turn well without turning the trim knob on controller but then won’t go straight lol

      Thanks! I just got a pair of 2200mah 35C 3S batts. I figure the extra 4K mah and going from 25C to 35C will be a perfect match for a stock boat. Plus I’ll knife edge the steering rudder and maybe find the correct metal prop and be done with it
