- The Beats Solo 4 bring an upgrade to the middle tier of Beats headphones. You still get that excellent Beats branding, of course, in a set of pretty capable on-ear cans. But that mid-range price comes at the expense of features like active noise cancellation. On the other hand, you do get Spatial Audio on iOS, and these work flawlessly with Android now, too. And you can get lossless audio with the included USB-C cable, or the 3.5mm audio cable.

They're, fine. ... But the Solo 4 also live in the same world as the Sony ULT, and that's gonna make them a hard sell. If you gotta stay Beats, though, I'd try to get the Studio Pro on sale.

Really sounds like the Solo 3 that I have, across the board. The only thing i see as significantly different is the battery life going up to the 50 hour range, where the Solo 3 is around 40 hours. I don’t see any need to upgrade as I don’t view this as one. Very disappointed. Absolutely get the Beats Studio Pro if you can afford it over the Beats Solo 4 at $250! I would in a heartbeat. Thanks for an excellent review! Although phone call quality would have been a nice addition here.

My Studios don’t have great sound either. They seem like they just don’t get loud no matter what I tried.
You’re right, mine even when connected through usb c doesn’t get any louder. I’m disappointed tbh.

Sound on those are amazing but built quality.. trash i had a beats solo 3 and changed them 3 times because of the leather pads coming off… on the 4th time i just requested an refund because headphones from more expensive category (300€) and it was such an disappointment disaster.. i have no clue how those gonna be we will see in some time
Got this for my girl tonight those things sound like crap didn't expect much from Apple everything from the box to the actual headphones feal cheap cheap... highly suggest Samsung Buds 2 pro instead don't waste your money
