As a DV victim myself, i can say the law lets so many women down. Too often no action is taken until it's too late.
Women aren't the only victims of dv I say more men are let down because women rarely ever g9 to jail for being abusers.

Now two lives were taken when this could have possibly been stopped years ago. God bless these families. I truly hope these woman who survived get themselves checked as well as it seems he has sexually abused them.

The magistrate pretty much talked my mother out of pushing forward because of a trial and how they would rake me over the coals and make ME look like a whore when I was a virgin. I knew the magistrate personally her daughter was my friend since we were in elementary. They lived around the corner from us. I was a minor so it should have been a slam dunk and as a minor I should have been protected. I ended up getting pregnant too. He left the country by then and no one knew where he was

Addicts lose touch with reality whether they’re on it at that moment or not. That mixed with trauma and alcohol is a horrible combo and fit for disaster

This happened in 2014 and properly charged and convicted he would have been put away for decades (kidnapping, rape, assault, drugs, and I am sure more just from this incident alone.

I’m not saying none of these things are true, but you lose a little bit of credibility when all the exes get together and share stories of what may or may not have happened. It’s easy to cry r word and conform your story to fit past events. Something to think about.

It was a jury of his peers, ppl like you and me, who decided there wasn’t enough evidence to convict him. Police did everything they had to do on their end, in the end it was society who failed the victims. If you want to call that a failure on the part of the justice system, that’s ignoring the bigger issue at hand.

Police did NOT do everything they should have done for Kelly’s case, which was identical to this attack. They totally failed her. They also failed to block the car Wade was in properly, and then failed to follow him after he took off from the Crab Shack after he violently assaulted Mila. If I recall the timeline correctly, if they caught him then, they would have prevented Diane’s death.
This is why he thought he was getting out!!! Thinks he can get away with anything.
Like actually thought he was gonna walk out of that jail a free man. What a knucklehead 😊
I think getting away with these attacks is what made him think he was going to get away and out of jail of the murders 🤔 what a demon

I just don't think anything positive is accomplished by wrapping people up in the cotton wool of so-called trigger warnings. Unfortunately, the world can be a cruel place sometimes and being aware of that is actually very important if people are going to have the best chance of realizing when they're in a potentially dangerous situation.

She wasn't 12, she was actually 22. The charge states the victim was '12 years or older', it's just very badly worded

the details of rape are peculiar. the bruises leave out A LOT of details out of testimony. Wonder why she was not believed...Might have come across like a Kelly/ strange person or vindictive. As a SA/kidnapping/torture survivor where a sadist literally stalked me etc. Its been 11 yrs & im learning from this case im still kinda off. My mind was done a # on. Like ive been brainwashed a bit. I’m sorry to all of his victims but personally, after a man that I do not know, shows me his tattoo of satan on his chest, I would never walk to his car, dimples or not. I’m not saying that anyone deserves to be treated this way, abused, or murdered! I’m just saying that we should all have more boundaries and respect ourselves more. I grew up with an Aunt who was always with abusive partners and I just think it’s really sad and I really hate to hear about the awful things that he has done and the ONLY good that could possibly come from this is that we could possibly teach our daughters to love themselves and never settle for good looks.
