I'm 100% with you 26:50, Goody's mission definitely started all well and good, but i don't think they would have given Morticia that line for no reason at all. I'm willing to bet that she started going way overboard and got more and more radicalized as time went on. Goody in my book is totally suspect.

it's the details that make Jenna Ortega such a good actress. Smelling the air coming from the freshly opened coffin. That was a nice touch.

I don't really mind your theories at all, I just hope you're having fun. Watching reactions to mystery shows I always get most nervous about the possibility of people getting tangled in tropes and clues and disassociate from having fun.

Its never really proven out that Biana actually did anything to him. by the way they talk about it at the dance, it's clear that Bianca denys having used her powers on him. and while yes bianca clearly has issues with Wednesday, they aren't 100% unjustified. Wednesday is hardly an innocent party in their feud. (aside from the unwarranted jealousy because of Xavier). There isn't even really any proof that she's much of a mean girl in the traditional sense. we never see her pick on anyone aside from Wednesday. We even see that she has actual friends and we even see Enid hanging out with Bianca's friends. so they aren't like your typical mean girl flunkies who are also mean and only hang out with the head mean girl. all that said i get why people seem to cast her as the bad girl since she is an antagonist for wednesday and she does her job really well.

She literally poisoned somebodies food with what they were allergic to so they couldn't perform in a race...And she all but point blank admitted it to Xavier. She went so far as telling him "You used to love my killer instinct" or something like that. Her mother hints that she Siren Songed her way into Nevermore in the first place.
Do I think she is evil? No. But she is hardly innocent. She even makes a point that she is trying to turn over a new leaf.

@@DanteShadowfall I get how it garlic bread incident looks bad. but first off the poe cup is deadly and all about cheating. one of the boys team swung an axe at everyone's head! Yoko herself doesn't seem to be holding a grudge about it as later that night she is right there in the nightshade library along with along with both Bianca and her right hand girl Davina. Not only that but Yoko looks perfectly fine. so the garlic bread incident seemed to merely incapacitate her long enough for her to not participate in the PoeCup. We later See Yoko interacting with bianca or her fellow sirens like nothing happened. I'm guessing while this seems bad to us in a school of vampires, sirens and werewolves this barely seems to move the needle.
As for Biana telling Xavier you used to like my killer instincts. i can't exactly to speak to that. as we aren't really shown her being the typical mean girl. maybe she used to just randomly pick on students for the fun of it. or maybe she's refering to her aggresive energy we see her taking in class while competing wednesday.
I'm just basing it on what we see. I'll admit when i yeard Enid going on about how garlic bread incident it did seem like such a major thing, but a few hours later there was Yoko right as rain laughing about her killer virgin mojitos and shocked that Wednesday doesn't want to join their secret club. So i'm just not getting that vibe that she's an overly mean girl. certainly not someone you want to triffle with for sure, but not a stereotyical mean girl.
those were really Good points to bring up. =)

@@sakisaotome6753 I mean even she says her necklace isn't full proof. There is every chance that those girls just inherently go back to her side. People often return to abusive relationships.
She doesn't contradict her mother when she brings up the fact she Siren Songed her way into the school.
THere is also the fact that she talks down on Wednesday just for her appearance about seeing if she bleeds in black and white etc. She even tells the normie where to find Wednesday when she is breaking the rules and exploring Pilgrim World.
Now...By the END of the series she has definitely has turned a new leaf. I think she realizes she doesnt want to turn into her mom.

@@DanteShadowfall those Are all very good points. There is honestly not much to counter what she says when they first meet both the part about bleeding in black and white as well as the line about her being the psychopath they allowed in the school. She is clearly trying to trying to show that she is the queen bee and yes Wednesday days what she does about pulling the stinger which is a direct challenge. But yes I the end she did technically start it for nothing more than a power play.
Regarding the friends specifically Kent and devina they are also both sirens I mean it's possible that a siren could wammy another but it seems unlikely to me. And while it's also possible that they were potentially unknowingly wammying yoko and Enid sure I guess it's possible they say it is after all but it seems that they are good enough that none of the adults or kids we see seem to be concerned including Wednesday herself. It makes sense that Bianca given her history would be concerned about it a as she probably knows how to work around it. So if makes sense that she may worry that she is doing it without really thinking about it. I don't imagine that it is a passive power that can function without your direct control. But I suppose we will see if/ when we see her use her powers.
Finally I think she probably did use her powers to get into the school. After all it certainly seems like an expensive private school and given her background she probably couldn't afford it. Wordsmith the way the school seems to be able to sway those in charge of Jericho. Big that doesn't really speak to her being a mean girl.
The biggest knock to my view that she isn't the mean girl we think she is, is her intro where she intentionally antagonize Wednesday and tells rowan that if he practiced as much as he whined he might be better. This is definitely mean girl material and she did so toward two different people. So while I think that wasn't all that harsh I'll concede that point that she was acting the part in this instance.
I believe that the Bianca we see staying this episode isn't her changing to be they better version of Bianca the person we start seeing is who she has always been we just happen to see the wrist side of her because we are viewing the works through Wednesday's pov,, which is in hot competition with her from Biancas pov both in school prominence and for the affections of the boyshe likes. Think of this, despite their rival status Bianca never actively tries to go after Wednesday. Her attacks are mostly attacks of opportunity and almost entirely verbal spars of one up man ship. So far she has never give out to try to do something that souks knock her down a peg or to try to put her in her place. You know what i mean? Those are tye things I would have esoteric of a real man girl. The worst I've seem her do is verbally spar in class and try to warm Xavier off of her in private no less.
Anyway. I'm really enjoying our friendly debate. You have brought up some really good points. I look forward to see your thoughts on my points/counterpoint. =)

@@sakisaotome6753 Honestly? I had completely forgotten that her friends were Sirens. Given that 90% of the show completely focuses Wednesday, Enid, Xavier, and Tyler. That said she does openly tell Wednesday that her amulet isn't full proof and because of that she can never trust people's emotions towards her.
So in theory? I think it is always a low level on type of power. Nor did she mention other sirens were immune, though if they were it would explain why many of her friends are sirens.
I think the thing is, in most of the instances we see Bianca she is very antagonistic. Even at the quire practice where she says "Are you soprano? Alto? Or just Loco?" She is perpetually portrayed as ruthless and narcistic and targets people that get in her way. Even when she beats Rowan in sparring she doesn't just talk down to him she talks down to the entire club "When are we going to get some REAL competition" to pump herself up.
A lot of mean girl behavior is verbal and degrading rather than outright physical. It is pushing other people down to raise themselves up.
Ultimately I think the biggest hint we get is when she tells people openly she is trying to turn a new leaf and not become her mother. I think it takes several things for her to wake up and realize she doesn't want to be a certain type of person. Many people have those moments in their life. I am just glad we get to see hers.

@@andyrobin7196 Doesn't change the verdict since there was no verdict, it never went to trial. The poisoning doesn't change any GUILT or not over the killing, but it does give leverage over the people who covered it up the first time, to get them to cover it up again.
Honestly, the biggest issue I had with that plotline was that Morticia, queen of the fencing team, appears to have no idea how to hold a sword, and has absolutely zero automatic instinct about keeping the pointy end away from things you don't mean to impale and "somehow" ends up accidentally killing the guy. C'mon.
If she reflexively killed him before conscious thought caught up, I'd understand it, but it wouldn't be fumbled, it would be practiced reflexes kicking in, before the remorse at what those reflexes did.
