    Catching up on your videos. Kingdom of Death topped Ashes of Man for you?? Once again I’m amazed by CR’s writing because Ashes of Man was my favorite. Just goes to show how this series has something for everyone. CR is a genius for not placing any time jumps after KOD, so we can realistically see Hadrian’s recovery from the previous book and relate/care for him even more..

    • @PetrikLeo

      Yeah! Demon in White and Kingdoms of Death are my top 2 favorites of Sun Eater. To make me feel that harrowed and invested now is such a rare experience. There are no bad books in Sun Eater, but Ashes of Man is actually my least favorite in the series. :)

    Out of your list, I've read Coraline and as a huge fan of Neil Gaiman's work, I'm always happy to see him succeed with other people. The best book I've read in 2024 so far is "Alice Isn't Dead" by Joseph Fink. Now, technically it does not merit 5 stars, but it was a very cathartic read - which I badly needed - and I'm a sucker for weird stuff, so it was worth 5 stars for me.

      @PetrikLeo  4 месяца назад +7

      No worries! Art director means you have to explain in full details what and how the cover art should look like. From art composition to character's appearance and many details in location, background, armors, weapon, magic, and more. Most of the time, artist don't have the time to read the books they're assigned to because they're overworked. It's up to the art director to convey the artwork and scene from the book to the artist. And make sure every detail is as correct as possible. 🙂
