Scott Weiland performed a stripped down set in the 987fm Lounge for a handful of fans. This is "Missing Cleveland." Much more video from this performance is on the way!
I can appreciate your point of view. I think that both are VERY talented artists. Both are EXTREMELY versatile, shapeshifting style, tone, etc....and that is not an easy trait to find in frontmen these days. I basically wrote what i wrote because it is a well-known fact that Bowie is probably Scott's biggest idol...he admitted it several interviews...he even did a cover of Bowie's "Fame" on HapInGal's and when an interviewer had told SW that he had talked to Bowie about SW's ears perked up and
...SW was VERY interested...he even said something to the effect of "wow, i would really like to know what he thinks/thought of my cover"...SW continued to say that he tried his best to do a Bowie-esque interpretation of it, with some of hisown flavor of course...i think it'dbe KILLER if they went on tour together...since that is wishful thinking, I'd actually rather wish for SW to get back with VR ;-)
This comment is a bit of a time capsule for me. For a brief moment, I was taken back to a more hopeful time when a Velvet Revolver reunion was possible. Right before the end, I was even holding onto hope for an eventual Stone Temple Pilots reunion after Chester left... But it was not meant to be. Blaster was an amazing final album, and I know Scott had so much more to say. I'm really missing his voice right about now. Bowie's, too. Hope you're doing well all these years later, Peter. All the best.
You got it all wrong. Bowie will never be Weiland. It's not even a fair comparison, obviously Weiland is more talented. Don't let those who proceed you mislead you.
Weiland can do it all simply put, as for Bowie can't. You strongly believe that Bowie can do what Weiland does, really? Nope didnt think so, and Im not hating on Bowie he's very talented but it's not a fair comparison. Bowie simply cannot do what Weiland does Period.
his haircut looks like gary oldman's from the 5th element...lol!...i love scott, but he is NOT bowie...i know he idolizes bowie, but he will NEVER be bowie...even though he comes close in the paralysis video and the live perf of barbarella with CL.
Dude...are you KIDDING ME???!!! Weiland is more talented than Bowie???...umm, i really don't try to hate on my comments on youtube, and I like Bowie and Weiland a lot, BUT...you have got to be taking more pills than MJ did to think that Weiland is more talented than Bowie...i seriously have to ask...have you EVER listened to Bowie OR seen him perform?
you will be remembered Scott.
Cleveland misses you.
I'll light candles for you every winter.
I miss you so much Scott.
Loved this song when it came out, can’t find it on anything steaming so I came here.

May he be beside God and his soul be always enlightened. Scott Weiland is sorely missed.
Cool! Can't wait to see more videos from this set.
more from this set PLZZZZZZ!
ANYTHING THAT SCOTT WEILAND DOES IS AMAZING! I think he would be flattered when you compare him to Bowie.
Clearly he is influenced by Bowie- but he is not a copy of Bowie. He is an extremely talented and awesome artist.

this is rough
I thought, just for a moment, that the singer was someone else. What a mistake.
he really doesn't sound that good here. I think is because they did not rehearse and he is sitting down.
