- got both of my conches pierced on the same day and love them!🥺 for reference/context about my pain tolerance- i also have 6 lobe piercings (3 on each ear), 3 cartilage, 1 daith, 1 rook piercing, and 7 tattoos. here is my experience with Studs, NYC!

SOOO happy to see a Black girl with this piercing! I believe that our aftercare for ear piercings is a bit different than that of other races because we don't wash our hair as often and use more oils, etc in our hair. Therefore, I think its a little bit more difficult to keep our piercings from getting as much build up. But, its good to know that yours did not get infected.
OAN: I typically use real/ raw Black Soap to clean my piercings. It seems to speed up the healing process.
Your conch piercing is so nice 😊😊😊 i just got mine, i got tragus, conch and flat all on same day. I read online that they hurt badly but some how im lucky i didnt feel pain so im happy. I found what hurt was them tightening the jewelry after but I didn't feel anything for the actual piercing which was unexpected 😊😱

I loveee Studs Nolita! Since December, I’ve been going to either reopen old piercings or to get new piercings. Ash did my piercings & she’s so sweet & fast! When she did my tragus, it was the best experience. I didn’t hear a crunch, I didn’t bleed, & it didn’t hurt. This was my second time getting my tragus pierced & my first experience was horrible & I definitely heard a crunch.
I plan on going this month for my daith, I think I’m addicted lol I’m taking your video as a sign cause it’s such a coincidence that I’ve been thinking about getting it pierced & you posted a video about it AND went to the same place that I go to lol
For the piercing aftercare spray, the NeilMed company sells a bigger size on Amazon which really comes in handy since the smaller size runs out fast. Okay, I’m done lol sorry for long comment 😂
omg i've ALWAYS wanted to get my tragus but i don't have one😩. i think being denied that piercing from several different places that i've tried to get it done at is the reason i've experimented with all of the other possibilities throughout the years hahaha! but yesss take this video as a sign!😂👏🏾 definitely gonna buy that large spray too bc mine is almost done already lol

I got told once that I can’t get my daith pierced b/c of my ear shape but then I seen soooo many pics of people whose ear was shaped similar or smaller than mine & theirs healed just fine. So I decided to get other opinions & now I hope I’m good to go lol if you’re looking for a piercing similar to the tragus, there’s one called the anti-tragus. It sits on the side of your face close to the tragus instead.

Studs in Nolita and UES horrible place. Even though this company is franchised all over the country, I don’t recommend going to them. The whole company is non-compliant with health regulations. They aren’t professionals, nor their piercers are licensed, and not trained properly. They got mad because they had give me a refund for the botched piercings they gave me. Please monitor your piercings you get from them, and get a second opinion because they might reject.
omg wow! so sorry that you had that experience with them. i'm glad you got your refund! you are gonna fall out of your chair when i tell you that i let an apprentice pierce me LOL😭 their business structure/vibe totally reminds me of Claire's / Piercing Pagoda, so believeee me- i was totally prepared for any mishaps😂 luckily they've been great! (this vlog was filmed a while ago)
i got my past 11 ear piercings done at my tattoo shop, 'Village Tattoo' on Bleeker St. 10/10 recommend checking them out if you ever feel like getting your piercings redone!🖤
That's sad one of my friends had her conch, daith and 3 helix piercings here and all look amazing on her and her healing time was fast she switched them all to a hoop in under 6 months no problems so I'm definitely going here to get them done and I never saw a single complaint about them until your comment. Maybe you unfortunately got someone new? They're very clean with how they handle the piercing tools and the business itself is cleaner than any tattoo/piercing shop
