Yeah, once I arrived in Hyrule fields, I saw a lone bokoblin scavenger resting on trees, tried to sneak kill him for loot n stuff, suddenly the trees just pops and NO U me.
Ever since that day, I always bring at least one stone axe with me.
I don't know how people can say it's not worth the price considering how massive and overwhelming this game is.
It has taken me HOURS of play just to unlock the towers and not even get 1/3 of the bottom done.
It's a MASSIVE map

Arguably too overwhelming, and I don't mean the map size. There are just too many small things the game doesn't tell you about, which encourages exploration and experimentation. But the price of failure is too high imo. Often times recovering from a failed Zonai build, or restocking all the food you used to stay alive is too time consuming.
@@Interloper12 getting materials for health isn't hard at all, and just make a Save before you take out zonai devices and use them so that you can restart if you mess up. The game is open world of course there's going to be "small things the game doesn't tell you about". The games not supposed to be beaten in a low amount of time, it's more of a get off of work play the story and explore kind of game.
One thing to note: In the underground, every root to light up corresponds to a shrine above ground. So if you find a root, place a marker there, there's a shrine right above you.
Adding to this, always try to get the shrines first. That way you can teleport back up once you get the root below.
After some experimentation, I found that the inverse is also true. If you find a shrine on the overworld, try to go to that location in the depths. You'll find a lightroot there.
Also, check the names while you're at it.
This is one of those fun things that likely implies a lore connection without ever stating it.
And vice versa
U and usually finagle a way to teleport through the root to make it to the shrine at the top with the ascension ability
Stalhorses are immune to the gloom in the depths! Having one makes getting around down there so much better.
And holding ZL with horses will let you sidestep around and over spots that the horses don't like trotting over. :D
A shield with a Kart let's you slide over it untouched.
Or just a Zonai part vehicle. There are stations everywhere with loose parts you can use.
Too bad that this becomes completely irrelevant later on because of another sage ability😂

Found the floating colliseum 2 days ago while only having 5 hearts. Saving was my best friend.
One thing about Hestu, if you did one of the 4 regional crises (or whatever they're called) before meeting him, you won't find him near the stable, and he'll just be at Lookout Landing already.
You absolutely can buff your stamina with bonus wheels. Cook a few endura shrooms and you should get a couple of yellow stamina wheels that stay there until you sleep, or your normal stamina runs out.
Best not to cook multiple at the same time. Any extra stamina instantly refills base stamina, so the more individual dishes, the more overall stamina.
Blue jellies arent neutral, they're water. Good for sludge enemies and making enemies more conductive
Or against fire talus
Or cooling yourself off in the desert
Or for sludge at the Zora area. So much easier to have a bunch of those than splash fruits
Also getting the damage boost on Zora weapons

I don’t know if this is just common knowledge but my girlfriend showed me how to do a silent whistle for your horse. The second you hit the down pad press the B button. Your horse will come but the monsters won’t(:
You don't have to go all the way to the sky for a crystal refinery. At the final scene of the video at lookout landing there was a white structure a few feet away. There was a crystal refinery there.

I also didn't realize there was a prayer shrine in the emergency shelter and kept going to the sky island to upgrade health and stamina 😅
A nice tip, lightroots are always directly below surface shrines. You can use any shrines you have to find lightrpot locations, and vice versa.
There’s a vendor for obtaining energy cells just outside the lookout landing towards the Hyrule castle, don’t need to go to vendor in the sky island all the time!
PS: Also another nice little suggestion, as you travel towards northeast and talk to NPCs, they actually reveal the locations of various armors inside the caves surrounding the central area. I think if you manage to meet the same NPC in other areas, they will reveal more locations. I got the barbarian and shock resistance armor so far!

Thanks! I went off the path they want you to take, so I missed Hestu on the way to Impa. Now I can finally start upgrading my weapon stash with the 60+ seeds I’ve picked up while looking for him.
I went all the way to the damn korok forest to find him. If only I knew it was so simple.
It was fun finding out that if you unequip a melee weapon, you can use the throw weapon button to instead throw stuff like bombs or fire fruit
If you hold throw weapon while equipped, and the press up on the d pad, you'll have the same option
Not necessary to unequip your weapon to throw an item
4:09 I didn’t know you could go back every blood moon and grab the bows and swords that are not in a chest so I have a nice stock of royal bows and dusk bows because of this trick. Very helpful early game
You don't really need spicy food if you simply fuse a fire substance to your shield. As long as you have the shield equipped and your warm greaves, you can withstand even the coldest areas as this gives a topped out Level 2 cold resistance.
Also works with weapons
Ruby rod kept me toasty on those mountains.
If it's anything like BOTW, 3 crickets is best as the 3rd cricket gives you two fifths of a stamina wheel added to the recipe instead of the usual one fifth. This is true for many recipe's that involve stamina refill, as the 3rd item will give a bit more. Just be sure to throw in a monster part too or the recipe won't turn out right.
what if you use 4?
@@jvnebugged lol then you'd get a lil more. 3 is the most efficient tho cus as I said u get double the stamina return from the 3rd cricket, aka two fifths are added. The 4th cricket like the rest just gives an extra one fifth.
In other words 3 crickets gives 4/5ths of a stamina wheel restore for the full meal. Adding a 4th would make it a full stamina wheel aka just one fifth more.
Not a big deal but if ur trying to be efficient 3 is the most efficient use of resources.
What do you mean you can't get more stamina from food/elixirs like hearts? You literally can get yellow wheel extra stamina that doesn't go away till you use it.

Don't forget if you have old game save data from breath of the wild you can collect your old horses at any stable. I've got Zelda's horse. The best one with DLC
If you go after the champions leather when you paragraph Clyde into the flying Tower go to the left on the map and you'll see a little Tower there. It's a royal guard bow 50 attack you want to get that too
I remember buying a small notepad for recipes when I was playing BotW. It took me back to earlier gaming days when you weren't given quest markers and had to remember where to go.
You can pick up metal items with the hand, during a thunder storm in the game, and cause lightning to strike it and kill enemies

At 5:36 you say that there aremt temporary stamina buffs like there are for health, but there most definitely are! Not sure of specific recipies but doing the special bed at an inn or even reading some of the critters' bios
I think he knows, he's just hinting at another mayor event in the game that would benefit you if you have at least 2 wheels of stamina
For stamina you need to make an elixir with a tireless frog i accendetly made it earlier

Here's a funny one for you. I'm in the process of going up to the storm cloud in the Hebra region. All those trampolines and going higher. It's only a game, right! Tell my fear of heights it's no big deal. I save every time just before i jump on a trampoline. And I cringe every step of the way. This game is great, I never do things in order, and I think it's a kick to figure stuff out without a lot of guidance. Thanks for your video, it was akick.
It’s something cool but if you fuse a mine cart to a shield you can ride it like a skateboard also ride it down rails! If you explore the world and see the same places you visited in the last game and you might see it’s a little different, something must be there. The castle you can get a korok just by climbing the tallest roof just like in the first game!
Sky islands find what my cousin calls gum ball machines through some parts in there and then you know what it gives you.
You can grind rails with a regular shield it doesn't need to be fused with a minecart
Zonai charges are the best thing I've found to throw into the gumball machines. Construct horns trade 1:1, but Zonai charges trade 1:2! Toss in 1 charge, get 2 goodies. You can also look at the icon on the map screen to see everything a given machine can drop once you've obtained them from the machine. They'll list "???" until you actually get the device, so you know how many different things can drop until you figure out what they actually are.
Did you notice that the smoke coming out of the cooking pot when you're making elixirs (and maybe other recipes) is skulls? Does that apply to all cooking or only when you're killing something as an ingredient (i.e., crickets)? (You have to pause at just the right frames to clearly see them, but they're definitely skulls).
It's also weird when you trade in the light blessings for hearts or stamina you get a malice type effect from them
@@dominicmoisant8393 that is the malice and gloom fading *off* of you when you turn them in. It even says so in the flavor text that you have recovered a bit of your power was taken by the gloom every time you see that effect

5:43 “you can’t increase your stamina in quite the same way”. Except you totally can. That’s what cooking Endura Carrots are for. It gives you yellow bonus stam wheel exactly the same way as hearty foods will. Also, if you stay at a stable and choose the expensive bed, you will wake up with 3 yellow hearts and 1 full yellow wheel.

Blue jellies are actually not neutral, but water. This is useful in a story spoiler moment.
No need to mark chasms, they'll be marked on your map and so will an icon if you've gone through them.
Two things I have to add:
First, any monster parts can be used to make elixers, but monster guts and octorok tentacles give the best results. 4 crickets and a bokoblin guts restores a full wheel of stamina, for example. Horns, teeth, nails, eyeballs, and wings are all better suited to weapon fusion. Horns turn main weapons into better ones, while teeth and nails increase damage of arrows. Eyeballs make arrows home in on target (very handy), and wings drastically improve range and accuracy of arrows, making them perfect for long shots.
Second, just outside the northern wall of Lookout Landing, on the other side of the door shown in the "poes" tip, is a second steward construct that can make energy wells from crystalized charges. It's atop a big piece of fallen sky island, on the north side. It's the big rock that has a guy sleeping under it or standing beside it. This is way more convenient for increasing battery capacity than going all the way back to the starting area.
I like how the location of armor pieces isn't really a spoiler because many of the armor pieces in the game like the Champions Leathers were links and he knows where they would be. So it only makes sense that link would make a beeline to get his extra set of armor back
Actually, Link wouldn't know about it. There's a clue to find the tunic in Hateno village. The house you bought/built in BotW is now Zelda's house, and she has a couple diaries lying around. One of them mentions that Link's clothes are getting worn out from adventuring so she had a new champion's tunic made as a surprise gift. She even mentions that she stowed it right where it's found and that the torches are the key.
Have a favorite auto build of like 5 crates in a high stack it will lift all those boxes up and then you just cancel the build and they all fall and break so much easier
Ok here's the thing though you actually can add temporary stamina buffs just like you can with health ones. Just cook 5 endura carrots together or sleep in the rito special bed and get a full extra wheel. So it honestly doesn't really matter either way

Okay I forgot to get the 300 gold in the chest at the top and the castle so you can repeat that a second time and there are two Royal guard 50 attack bow in there .and quite a few other weapons and good things be sure to go all the way to the top of the tower searched everywhere go to the middle floor get everything and then exit the only way there's not malice on the bottom floor and jump to that Tower and that's where the second world royal guard bo we is in the left her on the map I just repeated this because there was a blood moon and I forgot to get the gold well there's plenty of weapons and both in there to make it worthwhile anytime you need weapons come here

This video contains 2 spoilers (minor) Tip for roots and shrines. The roots in the depths are directly fed from a shrine on the overworld. So if you find a shrine on the overworld there will always br a light root below it in the depths a d vice versa

If you played BotW an registered horses those horses will carry over. Got my big boy gannons horse and epona right after finding a stable
When you get the Champion's Leathers, you can also grab a bunch of nice weapons upstairs in the castle. It's easier if you fly straight to the top of the spire (instead of landing at the castle entrance) and work your way down to the throne room. You may need an extra stamina elixir to get there though. EDIT: lol okay you covered this as well

edit: stuff someone might miss is that near every stable is a shrine somewhere. Even if you don't do the shrine grab the point to fast travel there.
I don't think you need specific monster parts for the elixirs im pretty sure its all based on what critters you use and you can use any monster part that says " cook it with a critter to make an elixir"
it definitely is more heavily based on the critters you use, but the monster parts play an important role too! For example, a blue moblin horn will have a higher potency than a regular boko horn. Hope that cleared it up for u
I wish I would have known cooking a single hearty truffle would give me full hearts + 1 to extra yellow heart. I so often have been using prime meats and apples and various things but this makes it super easy and max hearts + 1 is always a bonus during boss fights or fighting those gloom arms.
I ‘opened’ three shrines, and now I’m told that I need to ‘open’ another one. Well, I can’t seem open that one without the ‘rewind/recall’ function! But how do I get that? (Sooooooo frustrating!)
By-the-way great video thank you . Going to the castle right away that way gives you a nice weapon boost on Bose weapons and shields well worthwhile to do it anytime you need good weapons just everyone remember it won't come back until there's a blood moon to pick up the weapons again
Upgrade battery as soon as possible. You can use the towers and just glide around the map but having a decent amount of battery and a flying machine is better.
Stamina helps with combat too when able to ascend and jump from places to shoot gliooks lol

If you have lots of extra Chu Chu jelly, drop them on the ground then hit them with an element to make elemental jellies. Ice is OP 🥶
If you use 4 crickets and a monster part (AFAIK it doesn't matter which monster part) you get an elixir that fills a whole circle of stamina
Okay, is this game randomly different versions or something because this is the fifth video talking about how Hestu is at that stable, and how you go to the sky islands for the crystal compression but both Hestu and a crystal compressor are found at the Lookout in Central Hyrule?
There are at least two crystal compressors, and apparently if you do one of the four regional phenomenon events hetsu just goes to lookout
I HAVE A TIP: Bows can't be enhanced by the fuse mechanic... Or can they? Start fusing monster horns to all your arrows. If you're more than 3 hours into the game you should never fire a vanilla arrow again.
Or maybe I'm the only one who cares because I play this game as almost a pure archer xD
I learned the value of this in the floating coliseum fight when I literally did not have enough weapons to win.

Are old maps required to find the amiibo outfits because no matter how hard I try I only get outfits from the old maps
They are not required. I stumbled on the Fierce Deity pants on accident while trying to get some good weapons.
There's a closer battery vendor directly outside the north gate of lookout landing
These are some good tips, but from my experience they’re a bit unfinished. Example: tips about using recipes is good. Should also mention where to get recipes, and that finding recipes in cookbooks will NOT save it until you cook it. Another is that changing chu jelly elements can be done simply by dropping them next to a fire or zonai emitters without sacrificing fruits that fuse for the same effects.
Can anyone suggest where to find materials for food and heart restore! I can barely find materials it feels like its so rare now to come across a hearty lizard or a hearty radish or truffle! Idk if there is something wrong with my game or they just made it rare to find these plants ! Or if anyone can suggest anything i would appreciate it

Hey dont know if anyone knows this but u can get the master sword location 1 chance by finding memory 8 and it will send u for another memory in the spiral on the beach .... the theres the dragon n I got my sword woohooo

I know early game/on everyone went to the great island for battery, but why does nobody talk about the forge at look out.
For me, cooking 2 bright eyed crabs is a better way to get a full wheel of stamina back.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION: In the video, you claim there's no way to increase your stamina cap through temp buffs like you can with meals made with Hearty ingredients.
THIS IS INCORRECT, YOU CAN!
Just cook up meals using Endura Shrooms or Endura Carrots, or create an elixir using Tireless Frogs!
All of those will give you an extra yellow wheel of temporary stamina next to your regular green wheel.
Guys don’t upgrade stamina first. You can just make the stamina elixirs until you are comfortable with your health.
I was thinking that very thing. Stamina can be dealt with using stamina healing food/elixirs, but you can't heal if an enemy hits you for 7 hearts and you have 4 max.

YOU CANT DIE IF YOUR AT FULL HEALTH. idk why its a feature but link can never be 1 shot by a non elemental attack at full health. even if the foe does 99999999999999999 damage and link has 3 hearts he will only take 2.75 hearts of damage. and only press read more if u dont care about spoilers
also u need 2 wheels of stamina for master sword
also that cap applies at all times. idk why or if its a bug but if you have 16 yellow hearts and a full 3 red hearts attacks willl never damage u for more than 2.75 hearts
even without that cooking up a hylian tomato or some meat to full heal what would have been 10 hearts of damage needing way more materials to heal is really good

You can just hook hearty food for more hearts too, stamina is arguably way more valuable for traversal. If you max stamina first you can find way more shrines then get hearts way easier than vice versa

I would just like to add...THAT HEARTY FOOD IS ALMOST NONEXISTENT!! Seriously, ive been nearly everywhere, and there are nowhere near the hearty ingredients you could find before. Ive only found like maybe 5-10. On the other hand energy food is incredibly common.
You can grow hearty turnips in Hateno Village and lots of caves/sky islands have hearty truffles/turnips you can easily farm
Fun tip you can apply rockets to the floating panels to go even hiiiiigher
I always bring a rocket shield into the shrines, just in case.

Unless you are a combat God, do not upgrade stamina first. Get heart containers first, hearty ingredients are not nearly as plentiful as stamina ingredients.
DO NOT waste Zonaite on crystallized charges. Zonaite is used with Auto Build, you wanna reserve it for THAT.
Instead, find and kill Bosses in the depths. Each one drops 20 charges and can be fought again after a blood moon.
Uhhhhh....no. Almost ALL enemies drop zoanite in the depths, and im fairly certain the the deposits respawn as well. Not fighting a boss to save zonite for a feature im not going to use THAT much

Buddy, you can use 3 crickets and a chuchu jelly for the same result. The monster part literally has zero effect on the recipe when it comes to things that don't involve hearts or time. I see you're still figuring out the cooking system yet trying to give advice. Go look up the simple BOTW cooking guide as it's pretty much the same for this game.
Guts actually have the largest effect on the duration of an elixir

The biggest mistake you can make is buying this $70 DLC to the Switch’s tech demo from 7 years ago.
And somehow this 70 dollar "dlc" as you call is a more finished game than literally anything else. And obiously you dont know what dlc is. Because it sure isnt reworking the entire og map, adding sky islands AND the entire underground, all the new mechanics. Heck--theres a large story quest that has you finding parts to build and pilot a mech!!
If you choose to hate the game because of whatever dumb reason you might have. Thats fine, that is your choice. But dont lie and say this amazing game with the most engaging gameplay and mechanics and massive worlds to explore, is overpriced dlc. Its a sequel.
