Present Lutheran, present Protestant with no intention of converting. And I love Orthodox theology, as well as Catholic and Anglican.

I'm about half an hour in. I often disagree with what Fr. Reardon says, but this presentation is quite good. He nails the Orthodox position on the Trinity and justification, and contrasts it skillfully with the western Protestant understanding.

Can I ask what you disagree with him on? Just curious

The prayer he is referring too was a vesting prayer in the Latin tradition. I love that prayer.

1:01:40 "Fidem" was the response in the old rite of baptism. Unfortunately the Novus Ordo changed to the answer to the much more prosaic "baptism."

I think that everyone in Heaven is Orthodox because heavenly worship is liturgical... even if they werent in their life!...when someone in another tradition who is faithful and loves Christ dies I have a feeling they are Catechized upon arrival and then join the Eternal Liturgy! One day I was thinking about CS Lewis and Tolkien and how and it's a shame they weren't Orthodox and I heard a clear voice say "They ARE now!" :)

Stop wasting and confusing people, if your heart is not in the true Orthodoxy....and the love of Jesus.

The constant “snicker” he inserts every few minutes is bad habit for a public speaker, it’s annoying. He sounds that cartoon dog that does that, sorry I don’t recall the name of that character but this guy sounds like him. The content is good, the delivery is poor. A good speaking coach can address verbal tics like that, get one

Nah.. way more personable. It's nice to see that he enjoys this. It isn't a verbal tick as much as a style of carefree and delighted delivery. Leave vapid professionalism to the drones in the business towers.
