Get a formal dress from an op shop. You can find some really beautiful dresses.
School did a survey on how much everyone in our cohort spent on formal and girls on average spent like two or three times the amount boys spent. Find it both weird and admirable at the same time the lengths girls are willing to go to look the way they want for formal.
