I checked, and surprisingly, neither CTV nor Global get funding from the federal government. This makes their reporting all that much more disgusting. Now CBC gets 70% of their money from the government, AND they still lose money each year.

Just for comparison, years ago CTV ran a story on Patrick Brown and sexual misconduct with a couple of women.
It destroyed his chances of running for the title of Premier of Ontario.
Turned out the two women who accused him were or former CTV employees and it was only CTV who ran that story. No one else touched it.
And once Patrick Brown resigned, CTV never mentioned that story again.
