Revival is a really good King! I fully support that rec! Terminal Man is one of my fav Chricgton books! You also mentioned Beowulf, "The Eaters of the Dead" by Chrichton is a Beowulf retelling that I enjoyed. Sometimes Hallmark romances are just someting quick and fun, i just got "Set the Record Straight" by Hannah Bonam-Young specifically for the low drama cookie cutter hallmarkesque vibes.
Been looking forward to this -- great collection! Kevin recommended Revival to me as well. If you're interested in buddy reads, Crichton, Cook, Clancy, Grisham, Straub, Koontz, and King are some writers I'm interested in or with whom I've already had a good track record. That being said, my interests are pretty wide ranging and I'm always looking for something new, so if there's anything in particular you're seeking a buddy reader on -- be it fiction, nonfiction, traditional, independent, or whatever -- let me know. I want to "read down" my shelves, but I'm not opposed to limited new purchases. Also, I've had some medical "drama" crop up over the last few days that has me in the mood to keep my reading on the "lighter" side at least for a while, but I'll probably be back to deciding if I want to try learning to read Coptic soon enough. 🙄 Have a good one!
@@BryanM.R.-prionic1 Sounds like a Crichton and/or Cook buddy read should be in the works! I have 3 grants due Jan 15th so I’m not committing to anything before that.
@@DrL_Reads Assuming I'm Bryan? haha. If so I'm down. I've read Sphere and Congo when I was a teenager but no other Crichton. Also btw, I do not have The Invisible Man.
@@Already-Overbooked Nice!! Which one have you read? I plan on getting to it after February. I’m prioritizing Orphan X right now. lol. 2 down and a lot more to go. Nowhere Man was awesome!
@ Absolutely. That will be easy to remember! We are the only two reading that series that I know of. Also, we have to read Drowned Kingdom sometime in 2025.
