Thank you so much! My stupid cat knocked my laptop off the desk and I was certain I'd have to get rid of him, but for $82 and your excellent video, we are so grateful! I've never fixed any computer ever, so this was a nice confidence booster. Amazing!

I love my pink Dell Insprion laptop. I have had it for 6 or 7 years. It is still as pristine as the day I bought it, that is until it fell off my bed and hit the floor. My screen was left with fractures in the screen LCD. After viewing this video I feel confident that I can replace the screen on my own. I just ordered the screen from Amazon. I already have the tools I will need. I did a practice run by taking the face plate off and taking the screws out of the screen releasing it from the laptop. It is so easy. I will post again when I actually get my new screen and replace it. Thank you so much. I did not want a new laptop.

I ordered the replacement screen from Amazon and it was pretty simple to replace, just like you said. The hardest part for me was reconnecting the motherboard to the screen. I should have paid more attention to how it was already connected. It just slides in and I used clear packing tape to completely secure it to the screen. The tiny screws gave me the blues trying to put them back in. But it was all worth it. Now my laptop is like new. The new screen was only 69.00 with free SH. I got it in a few days and it was well packaged. I already had the tiny screwdrivers I needed and I removed the screws with ease. But putting them back was nerve racking. Thank you so very much. The repair only took me 30 to 45 minutes.

Thank you so much! I ordered 2 different screens on the outside chance that I could do this despite never having done any kind of construction on any kind of computer (destructing, I've done a lot of that, lol!) My screens arrived super fast and packaged excellently. I reviewed the videos for each of the models I had (an Acer Chrome C710 and a Dell Inspirion 1750) and got to work. In less than 30 minutes and for MUCH less than the cost to replace, I have perfectly functioning computers!!!!!!

Wow! So easy to do! Thanks so much for this tutorial! I accidently dropped my laptop about a week ago in my room and the screen hit the corner of my guitar amp and it cracked so I just ordered a replacement screen.

This is a great video! How do I know if I need to replace the screen, or the wires inside? My Inspiron has terrible screen quality- pink & green.

hi I have this laptop. I've had it for about 6 months and every now and then i have a minor screen issue. Basically sometimes if i adjust the screen angle i have this blue flicker that appears. It only happens at most once a day and its not a big issue, i just hope it doesn't get any worse as it is still quite new.
Do u have any idea what this could be (loose connector?) and can u tell me if this is a serious issue?
    BTW great video
    Thanks.

not sure if this will help anyone but I just replaced a screen on this model and it didn't work after! The problem was a loose connecter (the video cable) under the keyboard to the motherboard. Even after reconnecting it it still felt kind of loose, so check that before ordering your part as it sounds like it could be common issue with this model.

Sounds like a short in wiring, loose lcd ribbon cable?

Not gonna lie, wasn't sure anyone else had this issue. Lines across the screen most of the time, right? Or mixed colors along outlines? If my screen isn't at the right angle, certain shades of white become pink lines, while shades of black go green. Its kinda bizarre.
Considering the symptoms, I'd imagine the cable is the issue, but, for mine at least, I'm starting to suspect the cable might be damaged. I haven't gotten around to taking it apart, myself, so I don't know for sure.
