In Surah Al-Ma’arij, Allah uses a powerful word to describe the human psyche. Ustadh Nouman explains how the word “halu’a” ingeniously captures our knee jerk reaction to adversity; how we get angry, give up and slip into despair. On the flip side, when good things happen to us, our immediate tendency is to be greedy and fearful of giving wealth or even knowledge. Yet in the same surah Allah provides a remedy for this condition. It is through consistent prayer and charity that we can contain our default reactions, learn to be grateful and put issues into proper perspective.

Brother Nouman is truly genius, he doesn't just understands islam and Quran, he also understands the modern life
of this world from a large scale point of view and makes alot of sense in his words and even has the logical power to
speak to Muslim all around the world.

No matter what people say this man here is the reason that caused so many Non Muslims to embrace Islam. This man is responsible for boosting the Imaan of the Millions of Muslims across globe. I owe a lot to Brother Nouman. Let's just imagine for 1 second that all these allegations are true ( I wish I am absolutely wrong & brother Nouman is not guilty at all) ....Even then so what ...Are we Angels ????...Do we not commit sins?? How can we forget that this man changed life of so many Muslims, taught Islam in the most wonderful way you had ever known . If he is guilty ( Again I wish I am absolutely wrong) ..then may Allah guide him . noReactionZ Assalamualaikum brother. When a person is learns the Quran and preaches it to enlighten the heart of the Muslim Ummah and has a so much knowledge of Quran, Hadith, Arabic Language then he is a scholar. Mor ever he is an "Ustad" means a Scholar of Islam.

Scholar... a person who is highly educated, a specialist in a particular branch of study. in mainstream people opinion scholar is someone who has earned a certificate that stating he/she is a person who has studied on particular branch of study and certificated by regulated institutions (Universities)
But Nouman Ali Khan is more special because his scholarship's certificate is certified by all of the Muslims' hearts!
He has 2 of those 3, you do know that when people ask him about fiqh or hadith he refuses to answer those questions and tells the person to ask someone who is qualified to. He has not graduated from a University.

Amazing lecture Mashallah, I wanted to point out that the scandal against Nouman Ali Khan shows signs of fabrication. I met Nouman Ali Khan during his visit to the U.K and I have to say he seemed like a genuine person, it’s a saying ‘ a guy knows a guy’ and he seemed quite genuine. Even if he did do what he did he is human and people should not have exposed him. Are we going to forget all the positive work he has contributed to our ummah and IF he did do a sin do we nullify his positives. This is why our ummah is suffering as we are too critical upon people’s private matters. Jazakallah khair and hope he carries on with his amazing work.

I'm what they call a shia Muslim, or adherent of the Jafari school of thought. You've successfully brought out the nuances of the verses of the Holy Quran in brilliant relevance to our urban lives today. I can't really compliment something you haven't heard before, about your eloquence, calculated humor or perceptions, but I genuinely get help from what you do. Insh i hope to do something similar in whatever capacity Allah sees fit. And this is the first time I've actually written this.

Allah is great! Just thought about that the size of my renting home is too big for me and takes a lot of time and effort to keep it clean and in a good shape. Then, have thought someone is homeless and lives under the bridge. Miraculously, I found this video where Ustad Nouman confirms my thought that someone somewhere struggles even harder.
Allah swt is THE GREATEST. HE swt is PERFECT He placed in our time people such as Nouman to help teach us. The saddest thing to happen was Our nabi Muhammad PBUH passing... but ALLAH didn't leave us empty without lambs, like flashlights helping us get through the darkness of this world are our scholars. ALHAMDULILAH 🙏🏾😭💝Masha Allah tabarakAllah if Nouman isn't going to be in a near place to Allah swt and Our beloved Muhammad in Jannah I'll be shocked. May Allah swt let us meet in Jannah.

Nouman Ali Khan, please, translate the Quran in english for us because out of 10 translation, not one has the word "reactionary" in that verse. I have heard other translations that you give, that I cannot find anywhere. The way you translate Quran and understand Quran is a blessing from Allah. Do it for the new generations.
Try abdul haleem. He uses it and its super easy to understand
There's also *Quran Made Easy* by M Afzal Hussain. Easiest translation by far
Yes, his explanation of Arabic words is really profound! Join Bayyinah TV there are lots of lectures on many Surahs. You won't find such an explanation in any translation because this is Tafseer/exegesis.

This was an amazing Khutbah! Jazakallah khayr! I sometimes have those reactionary moments and sometimes I can control them thanks to remembering Allah and what is right for me. Other times when I forget my greater purpose in life I am unable to control those reactions. Zikr is so so important along with Astaghfar.
