Out of the different types of ASMR, painting is my favorite. I find your voice very soothing, and I never judge anyone's painting style. Bob Ross, the master of ASMR painting, always said it's your world so you can make it anyway you like. Just keep painting because it's a personal journey and should make you happy.

Very nice. I use a large brush w light amount of paint, apply on the canvas, and build up the cloud(s) with same brush or even a fan brush like ross when he dances w the brush. Then blend...apply more dark or light colours to the cloud, blend etc repeat etc...and if its a sunrise/set, i separate the primary colours on their own if possible so as not to make "green" or something. Its sometimes difficult and requires patience. Wow, big time relaxing, thanks, do more, ur good.

I’d suggest using oil paints, as that’s what bob uses, as well as a layer of liquid white on the canvas to help with blending. I’ve made one of these landscape paintings before, it was really easy and the blending was effortless. The only problem I had was getting the paint off the brushes.

Acrylics dry super fast, especially when it's warm. That's why in the summer maybe it's easier to start learning with oils because it gives you a bigger window of time for blending than acrylics. I once tried to start painting a big canvas with a sky in the peak of summer, in acrylics, and it was drying so fast I was almost unable to blend it properly, I still haven't finished that painting 😪 but summer is def best for oils, in my personal experience, otherwise your arm will hurt from blending... it's possible, it just makes your life harder.

Hi. Please combine your oil colors with a combination of turpentine and some boiled linsed oil. The colors will blend much easier, oil color is pretty thick, that is why Bob got his canvases "wet" before painting alla prima. Or if you like working with layers grab a sponge and rub your canvas with some boiled linsed oil all over, you will apply color much smoother and more transparent, good luck !

2:31:17 this is the highlight sound for me, gave me lots of tingles with just the very first taps 🤩
As I write this message, I'm currently after the highlight I just pointed out, almost done with the entire video in just one go. I planned today on cleaning some of my stuff at home (as one of my hobbies I collect things from my favorite franchises) and it's taking around the same time as the entire video, so listening to this and watching your progress from time to time as I stretch or rest made it even more relaxing for me. Whenever I take care of my own things it's relaxing for me, even if I'm just dusting and putting things back to their places, but listening to this video not only relaxed me but also made the time fly by quickly, which isn't a bad thing, just shows how in the moment I've been. Thank you for this amazing video! I'm loving the result so far from your painting and I can't wait to finish the entire video to see the end result. This experience has been one of my favorites from your channel and I'm looking forward to more videos like this one 😁
More on the video itself: I loved when you mentioned that paintings (and art in general) should be better than reality, like you, I love losing myself in "other worlds" like a good fantasy world from a good book, incredible action music, incredible engaging movies or just some good old fashion video games. As an artist myself (Not with paintings, hopefully one day) I love escaping reality with these things, be it just to relax and enjoy myself or to be inspired.
It's extremely rare, but I love being able to be around nature without a care in the world. To me it was never the sky and it's different colors, but the sound of different levels of rain and the light show of lighting followed by powerful thunder noises that soon followed. Seeing storms in a safe environment has been one of my favorite things in nature ever since I was a kid and I never knew why I loved them so much, storms and the ocean as a whole... No idea why, but those are my favorite things in nature that aren't animals

Absolutely on point with rain sound and thunder from safe environment!
No need to paint your girlfriend covers it perfectly.
Time passing by while zoning during work is the best, shows how much you were engaged in present moment.
Thank you for your lovely words and all time support ✨

Great video- have you tried to cover your canvas in liquid white to prevent drying? it also helps to blend your paints better.

I actually switched from acrylics that dries extremely quick even with reatrder to oil paint but now it takes forever to dry

I wonder, to this day, what in the world is a liquid white composed of. It only works for oils, but I find that oils take a long time to dry anyway so there isn't a big issue, what it did best was make the paint smoother and easier to blend. But I made my own liquid white out of my own research of its components and the paint cracked when it dried :( they don't really sell liquid white here, but I've been trying to figure out what exactly it is. I figure it cracked because I added layers on top of each other while painting the several parts of the landscape, and it seems that tends to happen when you use linseed oil in the recipe... but oils def make belnding much easier, that's why maybe oils are better for landscapes and large detailed portraits, acrylics more for smaller paintings and for objects. That's been my own experience, it seems, from what I read here, a decently common one.
