Thanks Zayd! Yeah, you're absolutely right, it's best to get smooth mixing down first. I'll admit when I first started out I was (and still am) a little effects crazy haha. So with your 350, you'll definitely have to perfect your mixing first :)
this is exactly the video that i needed - Recordbox is now essential for Dj's and especially DJ's that dont wanna use performance software - Pretty much every club will now use this tech, so its THE way to go, IT IS THE WAY TO GO ---
Thanks alot for these amazing tutorials!! I'm doing my second gig on cdj hopefully next weekend and this time i'm gonna prepare before with recordbox, last time i didn't, and couldn't see the wav files on the cdj's because of that, very stressfull. But it went good in the end! Thanks again!
One of the better explanations of record box for beginners. Any chance you can do a tutorial on using the new rekordboxDJ functions so you can load direct from laptop - the setup for me is still a bit sketchy on this but would like to use it at home.
Hey Christian! Your tutorials are so clear and easy to understand! Thanks for that and keep it up with the good work! btw, in which models of CDJs does the rekordbox analysis works? All, or just from a specific version? Thanks again o/
thanks for your committment to this channel and hard work and thought put into the videos as i'm about to purchase a pair of cdj 2000 nexus and djm 350 (unfortunately) but hey guess ill learn mixing first before going crazy with effects and then i may be a better dj:)
The only thing that I wish was different from rekordbox is that I wish the cue points worked the same as the cue points in Serato. Instead of having a cue and a memory just have them put together. The cue points in rekordbox automatically play when you press them and memories just skip to that point. Personally I like it better in Serato because if the track is playing and you hit the cue Point it'll play from that point only if the track is playing and if it's not playing it just gets to that point without playing. So instead of setting up two different types of cue points and using up more time you only have to set up one cue point that functions as both a memory and a regular cue.
I hate that too now when moving from Serato to this. So there is no way to have it paused on that hot cue point? It's so annoying that it autoplays when you press it. Also, is there no way to have them auto loaded on CDJ 2000? I have to call them every time on every track?
Mate I'm no gonna lie this video has been game changing . How the flying fuck have I never known about this ? Im a vinyl die hard but this makes everything easier. Top Geezer u are mate
Is there any possible way to export your tracks all together into a playlist so that when you plug in your USB into the CDJS, you can just pull up the playlist with all the tracks on them in the order you put them in?
In regards to your "Up to 32bg" comment: Did they update the firmware? I used a 128gb USB in a CDJ 2000 (Not nexus) the other weekend. Took like 3 minutes to find the USB but all my data was there.
what if i wanted to get tracks analyzed but maintaining my folder organization? I mean i don't want to be tracks sorted by artist, genre, etc. but maintaining my original folder order (sorry for bad english)
Can Beginner DJ's begin from a professional DJ set for the firsttime for like a rent out or some how test / play with one somewhere? ( Not including controllers because i do have a DJ Controller " Numark MixTrack PRO 3 " and been a dj for like 5 years now and beforei upgrade, i know alot of DJ'ing and i feel like i'm ready to go for a Pro set so badly but i'm gonna upgrade to the NVii and then a couple or few years later i'll upgrade to the big pro set because i might have enough money
Where is the best platform to buy WAW music ? iTunes Store only sells in AAC... Is Beatport the only solution or can we convert AAC in waw by gaining quality with ITunes ?

Please note: Laidback Luke uses his 64GB SD Card with his CDJs. Pioneer says "CDJ-2000 Nexus players only support up to 32GB SD Cards" though.
