you're definitely right, they're doing much better mentally compared to their older music. scrim is sober, ruby is off hard drugs. as a long time fan, they seem to truly be growing not only as artists but people as well. keep covering their songs!
Very true they’ve gone from being on the complete edge ready to jump and they stepped back with the music and they kept stepping back and now they’re so far back from the edge they’re in a field at this point right before the city of big lights they keep getting better. The edge at this point is so far they don’t even see it I bet
8:55 is an insane thing to hear from someone like Scrim, from being a person with a suicide pact and addicted to drugs, to talking about having a kid with his fiance, most people dont live long enough to think like that, under those circumstances.
They’d prolly never do an interview. But if you ever got to that level of following, a live interview from a therapist to artists would be an entirely new level. $B has been my most loved music for a long time, struggling w suicidal ideation constantly since 10 years old. I’m 22 now and have somehow made a complete change in my entire life and now I’m doing, well, amazing in comparison. It’s nice to hear you examine music from a proper mental health perspective. More suicidboys make my day every time. Thanks man!!
Very well said, thank you for the feedback and it’s cool that an artist can have that kind of impact on someone. I’m not giving up hope for an interview! I’ll keep trying😊👍
9:00 sure the lyrics are raunchy, but also hopeful. I think this is the first time Scrim has ever mentioned actually wanting to have kids, which is crazy compared to the mental state these guys were in just a few years ago. They have a new album dropping at the end of this month and I can't wait to hear it.
Hell I'm so proud of him for making it this fucking far and being able to have dreams for the future, not only about his music but also about his personal life
Meet Mr. Niceguy - Suicideboys. It was the song that broke me into them. Its so melodic and not too much. It’s still one of most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard
At 7:40 I actually needed to hear that about not bringing in past trama to new relationships. That made so much sense how you explained it yo, thank you sir. 🙏😁
My first reaction to the last line was the same at first but, when I realised he was talking about having a kid, it made me feel so happy and excited for him. He and Ruby have had a tough past and seeing Scrim talk about his future is awesome!! You can really see their growth through their music and there's a new album coming out at the end of the month!
$boy$ helped me feel less alone in my early days in high school. That was when they were first coming up back in 2015. They’ve came such a long way and I don’t listen to them as much anymore but I have a special place in my heart for them and will groove to their music still. It makes me so happy how much you enjoy their music and even though so many different people listen to them, we are united by them! I think that’s so cool. Thank you for being open to them and giving us hopeful and helpful advice.
considering they came from super dark places in their life, high crime new orleans, drug addiction, depression, and anxiety they have came along way. ive been listening since late 2015- early 2016 and seeing them grow into these people who are now sober and are having a great life makes me super happy.
29 now and I’ve been listening to them since 2014. Them and Pouya have been artists that I can always listen to and never get tired of. Always something that resonates with me.
This is my most favorite song by the Boys because they laying out their vice but realizing one of those will lead to new life that will depend on their understanding & love to support them.
Ruby is off the hard stuff and scrim is clean now. Also that last line imo was talking about being happy and hopeful enough to be ok with having children of his own.
i had gotten out of a toxic relationship and started seeing my now boyfriend when this song dropped. ive always loved $uicideboy$ and i took this to heart
I have said this since I found your channel but man your energy is always a refreshment to my day love how authentic and honest you are in these videos and how you just seem to bump to the music in your own way very cool
man, I would love to see you interview some of these artists. Amazing growth the past 6 months. Keep it up! Watch every single video. Super positive outlet for me. Appreciate your work.
At the end he said "Moving onto better things, bigger dreams" then that reference comes in. It means he's moving onto better things like having a kid and a family even though it's an explicit line.
in their song for the last time ruby says "hollywood, babylon, cant resist it" comparing the two , and now that he's older and sober he wants to escape from babylon(hollywood)
i am so thankful and happy that you enjoy the beats as well as understand the lyrics! its literally a breath of fresh air to see you just as hyped as we are when we listen to these beats. being familiar with somatic therapies somewhat, suicideboys has helped me so much. they were the first group to make me feel those darker emotions BUT also allow me to dance/hype those out at the same time. angry emotions are awesome to process with them. i will go to my car, play "fight club psychosis" by scrim, and just move/express myself how i see fit. (without any destruction of course, lol.)
also the end of the song feels awkward for me too! lol as a woman myself, it sucks when my favorite groups still have to deal with some sexual ideals that arent aligned to my own!
From what I know, the city of Babylon is commonly associated with ungodliness and idolatry. The city that should ultimately be destroyed (as referenced in Revelation 18:21). This leads me to believe they associate Babylon with their past of addiction, gloom and general ungodliness. Hence why they chose the title Escape From Babylon (since they both got sober and are on to better things.) Just my theory though!
I love your reviews so much. You crack me up with your reactions on SBs songs. I hope you get to interview them some day. They’re good people. Much love!
If u hear suicidé boys actually speak about they’re lyrics they speak about they hope they’re music shows that they’re people just like the and they showcase about everything wrong with the world and not influencing suicide but instead showing that people can get through it. Btw I’m so glad I’ve found ur vids because h get hyped off of our generations music
I love your reaction videos of $uicideboy$. I get so excited everytime you post a new one lol. You had me so hyped with how hype you got when the beat dropped 😆 they have grown so much as an artist and as people in general. I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you could ever interview them!!!!!! I cannot express how awesome that would be and I believe you would enjoy getting to know them personally. No matter how their music makes them seem, they are truthfully wonderful people who are so down to earth and kind hearted. Thank you so much for making these videos! I absolutely enjoy them to no end
i need this interview like it has to happen i think it would be so hilariously ironic that all three couldnt help but enjoy it and to get that deeper level of an interview would be sick
cheers from Russia love to watching ur reactions $b forever since 2015 ur advices gave me more profit than my real local therapist 😅😅😅 proud that my eng lvl B2 and I can easily get guys like u here on RUclips ❤❤❤
Hey Tom, the videos you're seeing in the background aren't actually their own, they just pick some old random videos on the internet and use them. Great video btw :)
Your reaction to my favourite band is always so exciting to see!! I love how much you actually enjoy listening to them Edit: seeing you interview them would be so awesome!

Youre mad cool man I swear🤣 this one did it for me. Love your reactions to the boy$. Exactly what you'd expect when showing someone a new song that you really like. I will hunt for more of these😅

Scrim has a fiancé?

@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Well you can try to text their management :)
@@ReactionTherapyOfficial Don't give up hope, they did only one before with Adam22 on NoJumper, it could be in the cards
@xbert no jumper was pretty big and suicideboys weren't as big as they are now, but i hope to see an interview still

I’m laughing my ass off that you’re reacting to this. I woulda never thought. I love it ✌️
I got way out of my comfort zone!😳😳
This is one of their newest songs. There is definitely a tone shift throughout their discography about growing from their mistakes.
every time he goes from happy to serious when there's an inappropriate part makes me laugh hysterically 😂😂
