"I knew there was a very high chance of failure, and my research suggested it wouldn't work - but..." Love it! This is how we find out new things (sometimes!). Liked the operatic intro too!

🤣🤣 Failures are the pillars of success!
Yeah, the AI music has been far too much fun messing around with. It's kinda scary how good it is tbh. These two tracks are probably the worst of the bunch since I made them quite early on. I've since made my father in law a personalised Ska Revival track that's scarily good!! I reckon you'd enjoy messing about with Udio for sure! 👍

Interesting experiments and fun way to present it. Thanks.

I'd never heard of polyhalite until this video.
but I regularly add Epsom salts to my freshwater aquariums , the plants, fish, and inverts all thrive. with that said if I were to dump an entire bag in and use it as a substrate everything would die.
try putting a few tablespoons of the polyhalite in then covering it with some dirt then cap that with a couple inches of sand and plant the tank.
I believe you just overdosed the tank on minerals.
if the plants seem ok , try some black mollies , they do well in brackish and even salt water.

Well done you. keep working with it. There might be something there. Thank you for the video.

A better way to do this experience would have been to use it as a bottom layer beneath an active clay based substrate and then see how the plants grow.

if people didn't make mistakes, we wouldn't learn anything.

I think in a adirted substrate capped with sand it would work in a small quantitiy, I know father fish says he puts all kinds of supplements to the dirt in the botoom layer that don't seem to disturb the plants if there is sufficient sand. But not sure if it's worht another experiment, the way it clumped together looked very hard to clean out,

Have you tried this? Or just what you think would work?

@@AquariumShed Just an initial feeling of what might work. Would love to give it a go but am already at full capacity with tanks 😅

....only one way to find out - try it and make another video
