Great vlog Simon. Honestly I went on the snow hill lines on Thursday briefly and had no problems at all no cancellations whatsoever liked you mentioned there was a few trains running a couple of minutes late but I’d rather that than a train being cancelled. I enjoyed watching as always!
Great video, Simon! That wasn't how I expected that journey to turn out ngl and there were some nice stations along the route too. Do they really like bell-ringing in Stourbridge because I've never heard bells go on for so long before?
Thanks barrowc, these days when going on the Snpw Hill Lines you don't know what is going to happen. Lucky I could still hear myself with the bells as well.
Glad there were not some of the regular delays as this is my local line, also good to see more carriages on the services as so much better with 4/6 carriages.
1:48 Sim0nTrains - I’m Not Gonna Lye To Ya (Official Music Video) 5 star diss track about Lye, Warwickshire LYRICS: So I’m not gonna Lye to ya, but we are at our first railway station. I’m not going to Lye to you as well, because this station is called Lye. I’m not going to Lye to you as well, because it’s a West Midlands Railway station. And I’m not going to Lye to you, that cow’s here today as well. I’m also not going to Lye to you that this station opened on 1st April 1863 by the Stowbridge Railway. And I’m trying not to laugh here, no word of a Lye. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Anyway we’re gonna film some trains here. And then we’re going to carry onto our next station. I’m not gonna Lye to ya about that. That’s the god honest truth. *Instrumental* I’m not gonna Lye and tell ya that sign is actually too big for the word Lye. I’m also not gonna Lye that it’s got a lovely footbridge spanning over the two tracks. I’m also not gonna lie that it’s got a bin bag here as well, it’s trying to blow in the breeze. Not gonna Lye that it’s got waiting shelters as well. I’m also not gonna Lye to ya that we”re gonna see plenty of Class 172 diesel multiple units today. I’m also not gonna Lye to ya that this emergency button here actually has the old Centro logo here as well. Not gonna Lye to ya, Blackpool Tower’s in the distance at Lye station. Sorry G, it was inspired. I’m also not gonna Lye to ya that the 3-letter station code is L-Y-E. *Instrumental* That’s enough with the Lye puns, I’m not gonna Lye to ya on that one. But let’s get serious now, because we’re gonna leave Lye station on the 11:30 West Midlands Railway service to Stratford-upon-Avon. But we’re gonna get off at our next station: Cradley Heath. So the train should be arriving now to take us to Cradley Heath.
Congratulations on having a successful day on the Snow Hill Lines Simon, where everything went according to plan, thank you for sharing. 🙂👍
I'm not gonna Lye, this was a brilliant video. It's good to see that nothing went wrong with the Snow Hill lines in this one. :)
A quality video, sir! Most enjoyable, and the train information captions are a nice touch.
Well done!
Thank you Martin, really appreciated :D

There some good locations for railtours/charters on that line

Nice, a trouble free day on the Snow Hill Lines. Would you know how long the Chiltern Railway class 172's will be with West Midlands Railway?
I love the name Dorridge, it's like Porridge, but with a D
Dorridge Station is awesome.
I am not going to lye it was a fantastic show I enjoyed watching it
Glad there were not some of the regular delays as this is my local line, also good to see more carriages on the services as so much better with 4/6 carriages.
Great video👍
I'm not gonna lye, this is a brilliant video
Fun fact: Lye is one of only 11 stations in the UK that has just three letters. And that's not a Lye!
Go away 139001 Simon is talking right now and sadly George the cat wasn't here but Tico saw him on Livestream
When looking at the photo, it looks like George was hiding in the basket in the distance, but cannot confirm that lol Thanks Arnoldspotting Videos
I guarantee you will when Class 196 Civity's have entered service on the Snow Hill Lines.
