- Three Ontario MPPs were forced to leave the legislative chambers for wearing keffiyehs Monday morning. As Tina Yazdani reports, the house speaker scaled back the ban on the scarf, but stopped short of overturning it.
Well now I know who not to Vote for next time !
At this point the next thing there going to want to change is the Canadian flag.
TBH, the Canadian flag is just a leaf. If it was the old one, they'd want it changed though who knows with this lot. If it's a reminder when the White man was the majority in all aspects of society, they'll change it if they have the numbers. This is what a country looks like when it surrenders to "multiculturalism".

I think you are right, it is a political statement. Something like this could be religious/cultural - but the people involved are not of that culture. If there were a Palestinian member they would be the only ones at this present time that could possibly wear it without it being a statement.

The situation would never be reversed. Israel doesn't go around invading people. You also have no idea what you're even talking about. The people of Gaza are Arab. Jews and Arabs are Palestinian. The more these defiant individuals continue to wear the keffiyeh, the greater the argument for there to be a ban because they have increased the image of it as a political symbol. Watching the video, there should be any LBGTQ symbols allowed in the legislature also. There has to full consistency.
