I'm an arachnophobe, but Muffet is one of if not my favorite undertale character. They did her absolute justice in underswap, I love it

I’m seeing more comments about how the hate on the first half of the song is undeserved more than comments about how people don’t like the first half.
I was here very early on and by far nearly every comment when there was like 30-40 was about the first part being bad, and so a whole crew of people came to say thats not the case making the amount of people who say the first part is good alot more than the first few

My face when the character that is supposed to be different from her original counterpart has a different theme from her original counterpart
While It has different notes from the Original the Structure of the song is Basically the same as Spider dance when you align it with the first note of each song together and play it
It will just fit together
IIRC, StoryShift (Preboot) gave her a different theme despite not changing her personality or role so…

you can actually hear instruments from "sans." in this version (and maybe instruments from "Nyeh heh heh" or "Bonetrousle" idk I couldn't hear that), which is what is replaced by the barking in the dog version, which honestly I think is such a cool hidden detail of the song that really spices it up

Honestly I like the first part of the song, but I can see why people don't like it, I believe it's mainly because it feels off and unexpected, normally you'd expect the melody to start and keep going, but in this case it's interrupted by the squeaks, which may develop a frustration and maybe not even feel like music
I see a lot of people in the comments talking bad about the ones who didn't like the first part of the song, and frankly.. y'all should let people have their opinions, people have different tastes and preferences on music, it's perfectly fine to not like something, the experience is highly subjective anyways
This is probably one of the BEST songs in TS!UNDERSWAP (and yes, I like the beginning cry about it)

honestly one of the best muffet themes. I fucking love how this AU has role swaps, but keeps the original personalities. It is much more enjoyable to see.

I kinda get why most people are hating on the beginning segment of the track, I didn't like it either at first when I heard it in-game but after multiple listens on my own time I can say with confidence that it bangs, it just needs getting used to.

The first part reminds me a bit of the Torchwood theme. Not sure how much crossover there is between fandoms there but I like it.
The entire song is banger and all but that part in 0:50 and 1:15 are easily the best

TS Underswap is the best Undertale manganese I've ever played. (better than undertale yellow in my opinion) I hope they finish it soon.
I agree with you, Underswap gives me like more satisfaction, there's more attachment to the characters you've met, and the journal, I love it, especially when you reach koffin K and wear it as a hat and koffin K wrote in your journal, also how koffin K just laughs all the time and crossbones (sans) giving you life advices and having a friendly battle in pacifist, I just love this game, I love also the quest to change tv channel for sans which you do like 5 times and he trolls you all the time and you get 1G for all this, F-ing perfection
@antekzadrozny1998 I agree with litterally everything you just said. And I also love how they took all the quirky parts of characters and cracked them to to 11. The game is hilarious, fun, the journal entries for pascifist are adorable, and the entries for genocide really give you a feel for what you done. Especially the whole "chara"? part in starlight isles.
@@VincentDaylong damnn i only played pacifist but what you said made me TOTALLY wanna try genocide, I do pacifist in any fangame I play for the first time, same with Undertale Yellow I played like a week ago, but like damnn if UTY's genocide run gives you chills and make you regret everything you're doing then I can't imagine doing genocide here... I just love games that constantly point out how bad, selfish and a loser kind of person you are to play a "god", a "hero" and manipulate everyone into your madness. I just LOVE Underswap and UTY for this

Small fun fact about the Muffet Fight: Using a Spider Baked Good does NOT end the fight early (it DOES lower Muffet's Attack and Defense each time you use one though!), BUT if you fully donate to the Spider Bake Sale earlier on (Yes, there IS a Maximum for it, I went through the trouble of doing that after my first death (and my only death for my entire run) to Muffet since I had a lot of extra G), The fight ends a little earlier I think (If not that then I think maybe the ending dialogue is just different)
i maxed it out asap, cause the limo went offscreen and thats funny to me. didnt expect it to have consuquenses
i wanted to see what would happen so i tried it, when i saw the lower stats i reloaded my game and brought a full inventory of spider goods and chowed down. it was fun watching her deal like 1 damage lol
aw man i specifically avoided the spider healing items when playing cause i didn't want to end the fight early lol
