Then when you kicked in more of the low end... What?! Are you kidding me!! Bass utopia!! And with those 3 classic tones, there's a bazillion songs you can play! And compose original songs with a blend of those tones that no one else has.. My favorite was the neck and middle together! Are these available? Do you make these? I want one!!

I’m so glad I found this! I also am doing a 3 PU mod but on a sterling stingray 5. From bridge to neck I’m using a MMTW5, 40DC, and 40TW. Hoping to be able to get close to having modern sounding MM, P, and J basses in one. Love how this came out for you!
Damn!!! All those tones are convincing and usable! I've been using g&l l2k basses for the last 12years and it is so much easier to have quick access with the switches!! Great job 👌👌
I kind of like it. I have a EMG P bass and I nudged a EMG Musicman pickup against the p bass pickup on the bridge side. I stuck in a EMG BTQ circuit with a blend control. I liked it so much that I bought a Sterling Stingray 5 and I'll put in the same pickup and EQ configuration except I'll be putting in a EMG soapbar P bass pickup in the front.And the pickups will feel like a ramp
Great vid very interesting , love what you have done with the bass, I have bought 2 x 40TW pickups and 2 toggle switches , i am hopping to be able use each pickup in 3 modes , single coil , humbucker , and both together on each pickup is that possible , do I need any additional hardware , if it works i will have at least 24 different tones to hand .

I really want to do this to my Sterling 5, I changed the bridge to the 18mm spacing, but these tones are killer! mind sharing the distance the neck pickup is from the 22nd fret?
You should have just used the back route and a route in front of that with just to soap bars. 3 Jazz pups with a switch like the Gibson grabber G3 would be great. To bad Gibson has not applied that to the 2017T EB .

Hey, no they don’t have different tone caps unfortunately and there’s now plenty of solder in there! 😂
I also do that to my squier affinity and i can combine the coils that i want, it can do the tones of musicman and warwick in 1 jazzbass
