All these years and never heard this version. From my favorite album back then. Perfection.
Just as good as the heavier album arrangement.
I believe it’s actually the same arrangement, not a separate version. I think this is the album version stripped down to just the acoustic and vocals. You can hear this phased acoustic guitar in the mix on Siamese dream. It was released on the “still becoming apart” bonus disc that came with some copies of machina (I think Best Buy copies)
The last few years haven’t been very easy but I suppose life wasn’t meant to be easygoing. I lost my brother soon after I turned 18, we had so much planned now that I was an adult. I’m approaching 20 now, this song was a repeat, it provided comfort in listening and well as playing it on my guitar. A hobby in which we both shared and loved; My brother is everything that made me. If only i could be young again, it wasn’t supposed to go down like this.
Even though knowing the end is just only a breath away...this comforts me

@@joshkeeling82 no, Cueball head himself said he fired her, she said she left because he was a controlling asshole. David Iha also had issue with Cue ball head and barely agreed to reunited with the band in recent years. Says a lot about old Cue ball head doesn't it. Genius musician but asshole is probably right
@@joshkeeling82 She was fired around 99 supposedly. There are conflicting stories, including certain people telling one story and then another at a different time. If she was indeed fired this would mean Corgan fired 2 of the 4 members at some point. It would also help explain why Iha quit the band so quickly after, him and D'arcy were attached at the hip. He would also walk off stage at the last show without saying goodbye to anyone, then not talk to Corgan for over a decade. All indicates Corgan fired D'arcy.

Agreed. I don't know for sure but it's got to be the same recording. It sounds exactly the same except with some extra reverb.
Billy Corgan insisted on playing every instrument on Siamese Dream apparently so it wouldnt have been recorded live, so I think you're right
