Hey Steppler, thanks so much for all the innovative ideas. You have been a huge influence in my operation and I have also used some concepts in our automated CNC machining projects.

About ten years or more I was involved with a jig that you could use to make hand holds like you see in manufactured hive bodies. If you can find it in one of the “Bee Culture” article dealing with wood working. A.I. Root company wasn’t in the bee supply business at that time. Very little was done to keep them in it. But the Jig is made to be used on a Table Saw. Any good saw will do. Like the lifter good luck with it.

What sort of air supply do you feed the extraction room? You’ve got a lot of pneumatic things happening. I’d be interested to know what compressor size you’re using.

Looks like you could use an up speed control regulator.

Chris Turley ya, I have an air regulator but it’s pretty basic
      Under load it lifts adequately

a Canadian Beekeeper’s Blog They make a small in line unit about the size of your thumb. If your up continues to snap so quickly you may want to consider one. Other than that nice tool. 🖒
