Tipp or Cork for Liam? Great League idea from Dalo.

What about giving two points to the winners of the league for their championship league group and one point for the beaten finalists..the problem with pj's solution is that the league winners wouldn't be bursting a gut then in the league championship which could have implications for other teams

Let the Munster teams in the league play only Leinster teams and vice versa eg. Cork play Dub,Kk, Wex, Gal and Antrim. Galway play Tipp, Cl, Ck, Wat and Lim. The top 2 teams in each group qualify for semi-finals and 2 Munster teams play each other while 2 Leinster teams play each other. If you win semi-final you get 1 point for championship and if you win final you get another point. The advantage here is Munster teams only play each other in the semi-final and same with Leinster so teams won't be shadow boxing if their playing teams from the other province.

All five Munster teams are good enough to compete in A.I. quarter finals. Giving the league winners a bye into quarters isn't the solution. Just have a three week break as stated. Marko looks like a English toff!!

Giving the league winners is not the solution. Why couldn't the Munster and Leinster Championship be open draws every two years where a minimum of two countries must be from the province. So for example why couldn't Kilkenny play in the Munster Championship and Clare in Leinster Championship...you think Kilkenny wouldn't want to win a Munster.... otherwise same round robin format.
