Back in March 2019 I dreamt of a house that looked like one of the houses on the pages of this album's leaflet. (I have to say that, at the time, I was not aware of this album existing, since the only albums I knew by Arcade Fire was Neon Bible and Reflektor.) Anyway, in the dream I also kept hearing a number and I tried so hard to memorize it in case it was the address matching the actual house. As soon as I woke up, I went on Google Street to check if there's really an address with a house there that looks similar to the one in my dream. To my surprise, there was, but I have to admit that the house didn't look much like the one from my dream, but it did have the typical garden/bushes that every suburban house has. However, the thing that struck me was that the address belonged to a house that was actually located in CANADA! I remember being really fed up with life at the time and I downloaded the photo tweeting, "If I die here, I will actually die happy." Fast forward to the end of the 2019, and I find myself visiting Australia (my brother lives there with his family) for the first time. I'd never been there before -- or to a first world country -- so the fact that most houses there looked similar to the house from my dream was very interesting (yes, I am aware most suburban homes look similar). What was very unusual for me was that on the day I had to fly back home, they gave us a notice that the borders were to shut just 24 hours later, and that meant that I couldn't board the plane and go home. At the time, I had no idea how long I'd stay stuck there, so in a way, I feared that my wish from the tweet, might actually become true (especially since I'd been experiencing some scary symptoms while being there but I couldn't go for a checkup cause my insurance had already been expired due to my overstay). Long story short, I got home safe 6 months after, in July 2020, but while I was in Australia, while playing this music quiz on Facebook, I discovered City With No Children and a few other tracks from The Suburbs. It wasn't until I bought it from a music store that I saw one of the houses on the album leaflet that looked exactly like the house in my dream!!! That's when it all made sense, but to this day, it still makes me thing that our destiny is basically pre-destined and whatever we do, life will just happen to us either way. I could never in my life have pictured that they will shut the borders on the day I was meant to fly, which meant I had to spend half a year there, yet it actually happened! To this day, I still have dreams of stuff/people, that eventually i will encounter the next day, and even my friends finally believe me (though I am aware this happens to a lot of people) I don't know where I'm going with this, and even my brother tells me that I don't have to look for a reason about why certain things happen, but I am not even trying! I think I'm just highly perceptive, so that's why. I do like to believe there is some connection, though I am not one to believe in miracles.

One morning back in 2019, spring, I also dreamt of a former friend from primary school whom I hadn't seen in years, as well as of a female friend of mine whom I only knew online. And the dream about her was rather intimate, in fact. What happens next is that the same morning of my dream, when I went outside to say goodbye to my cousin, who came to visit, I saw my former primary school friend driving by and he waved at me. I waved back instantly, of course, but I immediately thought of the dream. Few months later, upon an invitation from my friend, I travelled there and we met after 4 years of friendship online. We ended up replicating what had happened in the dream, and I actually managed to convince her to give me her one copy of The Funeral!
@@zackzallie8735 Sometimes I just meet a girl and it feels like I've known her before, which I guess happens to a lot of people (like love at first sight or something), but, eventually, this girl and I would actually end up meeting or become acquainted in some way, or she'd actually show interest in me. I'm a guy who never initiates contact first cause I never want to be pushy, but it's almost as if it had been written before that the girl and I would cross paths. As if someone paid her to get involved with me. It's weird.

No matter how alone or stuck in life you are, there's always someone to bail you out around the corner - like you're never gonna be left alone, as if everything's predetermined. And the bad thing is that, if everything is predetermined, then that means that when the bad stuff are about to happen, we know we cannot escape them - which is the curse of this. I'm probably just being egotistic and think the world revolves around me, but almost always there was a pattern.
