From my observation, MGK didn’t adapt too well to the matchup this time around, though for the last stock, MGK saw that Mario had a back air habit, which got him the match.
@@gggetrektl342 nah he played very well. What you think was mashing or camping was just good use of pressuring to create an opening. His neutral and combos were clean
@@AvgGuy3512 maybe you’re right, but that way of playing gets ridiculed I mean it FELT like he was running from him throughout the whole game, sure it works but it’s frustrating to watch
@@gggetrektl342 i completely understand where youre coming from! It can appear to be brainless, but he was closing the gap with the pill, waiting for the Ganon to whiff or use a telegraphed punishable option. On the flip side, I've witnessed my fair share of campers who spam projectiles and when you approach, they simply throw you away and camp again. I main Zelda and Ganon, but recently i had a Pac Man try to camp out my Zelda, even t-bagging, but his mistake was giving me full stage control. With a little patience and good reads, i took the win, but he said I was annoying... Hmmm right lol. Zelda is an anti-camp character. The goal is to not give her the space to do phantom setups. Oops i got off track! But anyway, ye this doc was aight
Either this Dr. Mario player was intentionally playing very restrictively (heavily relying on neutral-b), or they lack fundamental knowledge on what they can do with Dr. Mario. Also, why does the weak hit Dr. Mario's nair have so much launch power at high percents? It should not be doing that at all, especially for a weak attack.
Dr. Mario's N-Air is the only sex kick (smash term lol) which changes the behavior of their sweet spot and sour spot, being the weak part when it starts and the strong on the latest part. It is one of Doc's main moves for his neutral and edgeguard because of how long it lasts, also can be used as an out of shield option but U-Special or B-Air do the job most of the time. Also yeah campy ass doc, bro should main Mii Gunner.
@@J-STX5469 Also remember Doc is pretty strong, although at really (REALLY) low percents can be used as a combo starter, at higher percents you'll mostly use it as kill move or to catch jumps when in the air.
And I must mention, this Doc was using N-Air in a very risky way, using it in neutral or when getting off ledge (with no fastfall) because of how much time the move is active, U-Air is a better move overall (In these situations).
@@PapuDoc69 I think this ties into me mentioning how this player probably lacks fundamental knowledge of Dr. Mario. They were just using the attacks for what they were for and not for what they were capable of being used for.
“Kicking?! I WANNA DO SOME KICKING!”
🤣🤣🤣
I swear most Mario players have half a braincell left
that last f-tilt was so cathartic.
That was one ugly camper. Luckily, you were able to adapt to the camping ways and overcome the pressure after all the camping.

Mario: * camps *
Ganon: **brings s'mores**
1:35 wow Ganon is chonky. Taking a fresh Bair to the face there near ledge and holding on is insanely chill
My two fav characters going at it love to see it
except the Mario played incredibly BORING

Bro i felt that f-tilt on a level i can barely comprehend as a ganondorf main.
The fireball/pill into land + roll behind combo is so fundamentally ingrained into every elite smash random its honestly laughable.
They call it the punch

@@PapuDoc69 That's definitely an interesting mechanic to his nair, but it's got its uses so more power to it.
