Sounds like there's pain in his voice. I like this version better than the recorded album version.

This'd be so great recorded in an actual studio as an 'alternative' version of the song!
Overdrive Brett Morgen the guy who made montage of heck is said to have compiled a whole load of Kurts old recordings so if this track is among them we might hear a more polished version, However this version kicks ass, Fantastically powerful songwriter.
i wonder why Kurt simplified the lyrics to this song so much. these ones are just so much better in every way, says so much more
Probably because it's a pretty painful topic. Think about it. He would have to play it I er and over again. I would think it might be easier to sort of paraphrase the song so to speak.

What year was this? Everytime I hear it I picture him sitting in his house and after he stopped the recording he sits there in silence wondering what he's doing....And when I hear it, it doesn't make me bop along or want to get up and cheer it makes me stare deep into his and my souls for a deep, dark....Something, its haunting..makes me sad.

Wow amazing talent at such a young age,, I would like the lyrics to this demo it's different from the in utero lyrics .. When you are from the Kurt era you find out that his was born an artist ,, in utero is my favorite album and still stands up well all these years later..Where is the next Kurt Cobain ,,, Not gonna happen!
