Took me long enough to come around to it, but after 25 years of listening to Syd on and off; he is my favorite male vocalist. Inimitable/Mystical/Humorous/Personable Genius all couched in that rich tenor voice of his. Eternal gratitude and praise for the life and work of Roger Keith Barrett 🎆
My insignificant words, cannot tell how this and other songs of his strike a chord or something yet unexplainable inside of me, all I can say is Thank You Syd.for your music and words. I miss you,
Thank you Syd, you created Pink Floyd and you found the only man on this world who could take your place (David). Yes we miss you so much crazy diamond
I think that this album is so beautiful. It is so sad. He had to make multiple recordings of many songs for this album because he wasn't happy with any of them and a lot of the reason was because he was so on drugs he couldn't get it to sound right to his expectations :/
i like this a lot more. syd using his terrapin/vegetable man voice as opposed to the voice he used on bike and the madcap version of dark globe really gives a sense of honesty and trueness
He is known to make those toung tweezers like in take thy stethoscope in the end he repeat realise three times but apparently he was saying real eyes, realise , real lies
@@homamalzein391 "Take Up Thy Stethoscope And Walk" was written by Roger Waters... perhaps a better example would be the opening lines to "Effervescing Elephant": An effervescing elephant With tiny eyes and great big trunk Once whispered to the tiny ear The ear of one inferior...
Bought this tape when I was 17, boyfriend said, "Stop listening to that old crazy guy." Poo on him, Syd was lovely.
I think you're fantastic! 👏
@BOWAvaBishopBOW-c9w Parents say the darndest things.
this is great, much better than the madcap version. in this more quiet version the emotion radiates more eloquently...
I agree completely! He was trying too hard to sing on that Madcap version. This is more authentic Syd if you ask me. Much better tone.

Non ci siamo mai incontrati ma avrei voluto tanto abbracciarti syd
Brilla più che mai da lassù
Yes Syd, we will miss you.
Much prefer this to the version on The Madcap Laughs. Still sounds about the saddest thing ever.

the album version was too shouty it's hard to listen to it...
Waters could never throw off such pure genius, he just copied Syd's stuff rather poorly.
Yes Syd we miss you....so much.:-(
I miss you, Syd.

at 1:36 it sounds like he says "dont you miss me?" instead of "wont you miss me?"
