What? No close up of his hourglass pupils that I'm sure you spent hours getting perfect? OK, snarky comments aside, I actually love that you did the red-to-black transition as a nod to the lore. Very cool sculpt and a great paint job. I would definitely like to see some more Dragonlance busts painted on this channel. I loved that setting as a kid playing D&D. Cheers sir.
I'm currently rereading the dragonlance series and I love this. You did an amazing job. He looks great. I think the skin tone is excellent even if not 100% lore accurate and the transition from red to black is awesome as well.
That gradient effect on his robes is extremely cool and well done! I've discovered I really like painting busts and larger scale miniatures (75mm and up) because I get to really focus on making the details work on a larger scale than normal. I find it a bit more relaxing as well.
You should maybe consider doing a 1/6 scale, full size, resin print. Those are fun to paint because there's soooo much surface area and you can really hit the details.
brilliant job, congratulations! I'd really like to see how to paint him as a Black Robe too. I have always had big troubles with pieces this large, it's a great pleasure to see you work on it so effortlessly. WELL DONE!
Very well done, Doc. I actually liked what you did with the back end of the robe. You kinda have to overdo transitions with busts. Look forward to your next bust painting!
Absolutely love this bust. Rastlin was one of my favorite Dragonlance characters. Can't wait to see Strum

Primal has pretty cool Lord Soth mini too
I like the black at the bottom of the bust. I keeps your eyes drawn to the more interesting details and face of the bust.
I was massively into Dragonlance in the mid to late 80's and early 90's, so this is a perfect video!!
Gorgeous! Your blending is amazing.
Whooop! My most favorite character from the Dragonlance books! Great work!

Wonderful painting of the Bust. And now I am going to print him and paint him too.😊
Primal is working on Forgottwn realms soon as they finished the Dragonlance series guys
Great video! It's great seeing work on larger scale items! I really enjoy the gradient transition of the painting, nice bit of character detail.
