I saw Mogwai in maybe 2000, 2001. I've always heard Dinosaur Jr. and MBV were sickening loud. I saw them both on reunion tours and still couldn't compare to Mogwai. I had to leave the show early and still heard them like three blocks away.
Exactly the reason I always come back to this version. It’s such a wonderful moment. She’s fully in, just chewing her gum…she gets that head nod, she acknowledges, and boom.
You mean you want somebody to play this song for you at your funeral after your death and that's one of your death wish ..? I mean you can't definitely play the song if you are already dead!!
I'm all for drummers having their own feel but it's like she's not even playing with the band on some parts. Snare rolls... The music is floaty so rhythmically there's not much to grab on to externally. The drummer needs to be tight to hold up the intensity and lead the band, instead its like she's trying to lean on the band but in context there's nothing there so she's continuously playing catch up and lagging. Sorry to be harsh but that's what I see.
Great drummer.
Cat is tremendously talented. Her band is great too... it sounds like she looks. I like when that happens.
She doesn't land back on beat from her fills. She's supposed to be the backbone of the band on this song. 60 thumbs up, 2 comments, surely organic.
@@thegreatsiberianitchyou ever get tired of being pretentious and a joke of a person?
Best three note song ever.
The 2 loudest concerts I’ve seen:
Mogwai and Mogwai.
But oh so beautiful!

The build up on this song gives me faith in life. power of music
F**king 100%
one of the greatest bands ever
Not sure how you keep time as a drummer throughout all the excitement in the final 3rd, but this lass is bang up for it..
Her drumming defines the beat. It's like the glue that holds the music together.
Maybe the best performance of one of the best songs ever!
Cat Myers nailing it at 7:27

Glad to know that the classics never go out of style 👍🏼
This is the song i want to play on my funeral

A pure MASTERPIECE
Such a divine version of such an exceptional song.

I’d this there best song ever
fucking epic, and catplaydrums is so mesmerising on the drums! fucking love this soooo much !
Nobody dares to give another thumbs up... It's 666 at this moment, unique for Fear Satan!
does Stuart just use that middle pickup for everything???
👍🏻
Greater Band
SIIIICK drumming by cat
Cat Myers ❤❤
is the audience dead? how are they not going mental. what a tune
7:28
Yes. Her intensity is just to die for in this moment.
I'd love to see a shot of the whole band leading up to that moment to see how they signal each other to nail the timing on that so well
Stunning scotlands finest at there best❤
Where is Martin? Dark old classic Mogwai tracks. I really miss them
He had a major surgery.
John was a key member and loved playing dark old tracks
Himn
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood......
Strange days for sure.
PEACE.
whatever, i still miss John. key member
Stuart's so small compared to the others
Short he might be but a giant in music he sure is
No offence to Martin but Fear Satan was never better than when Cat was on the drums
Long life Mogwai
Worst crowd ever
I couldn't agree more
Needs more stage diving, bottle throwing, moshing, and calls for 'Freebird'
way to long in the middle, BUT it kicks ass!!

Nah, you’re right mate. Not the best live version of Fear Satan out there for sure, mainly because of the shady drumming.
Tbf she was just standing in for Martin and did a decent job most times I seen her.
@@oswaldjr. For someone who had to stand in for a tour with a week's notice this is pretty decent let's be honest
