I need your help sir.. about I replace the starter on my rrs superchasrged it has a slow crank but it starts every time .. I just cleaned the maf sensor and it help a lot but you know any reason for it ? Also these faults are now showing and never before .. Is it cause I disconnect the battery .. how do I do a reset ? Without going to dealers
Hey seriously, the air suspension was one of my favorite things on this vehicle... and the first thing to go out... Because of your video I was able to program my fob, raise the suspension and prove it wasn't the compressor (thus saving myself $1000+). I can't express how awesome you are for having made a simple video!
Thank you! I've been very curious about this for a year. Mine was programmed for the tailgate, but now I'm outside in my dark freezing driveway like a kid on Christmas playing with a new toy!
The tailgate is still probably the most useful for me, but raising and lowering the LR3 is really fun to show! (BTW, I noticed you're wearing the shirt you re-sized in another video; looks great!)
Wow, great eyes and I agree with you. I leave my button programmed on the lights but the raising and lowering are cool to show off. Thanks for all you do.
I'm in the process of buying a 2006 Land Rover LR3. Iv'e prayed, mediated, done my research, talked with my brothers, heard all the negatives.... which lead me to do more research and bingo! .......... I found your channel!!! I watched my first video of you doing the oil change, began to watch this video, paused it at 0:39 sec and all thanks to you make my decision to buy the Land Rover. Because I literally "fall in love with my car," I'm looking forward to you teaching me on how to care for my new member of the family. I thank the Creator for you. May he continue to prosper you in all that you do..
Out of every comment I received this is by far my favorite comment. I appreciate the kind words and if you need any information feel free to ask. How many miles is on the one that you are interested in?
124,000 miles... I really enjoyed the oil change video. It was awesome, encouraging & exciting to watch. The way you laid every thing out, open it up, bled out the oil, and closed it back up reminded me of open heart surgery, needless to say, you actually had a mask on... too! It was super kool .... I know your are a Master Teacher... but are you a doctor too?...lol
Also what model is your? I always did like the 2008 Range Rover HSE models but I've decided on the Land Rover for it's specific purpose. I was also considering a Hummer or the Jeep Commander. I really want a loyal, quality vehicle for the off path terrain. What do you think? You're really helping a lot of people. Many who are highly intelligent but still need you for even the simple things like........ how to use that key FOB. Whatever advice or recommendation you have for my is greatly appreciate. Thank you so much.
Wow, you went on a watching spree, haha. I have done my fair share of off-roading and I have seen all the vehicle you just mentioned. You will come to enjoy the terrain response system, set it and just go. For me, the LR3/LR4 is way more than just an off-road and that is what drove me to want one. I really love the room and on-road driving comfort. Oh yeah, mine is a 2008 with 160k miles.
Totally agree. I was thinking I may just upgrade to a 2008 and was just about to research the price. Yours look brand new !. If you ever decide to sell him or her which I don't think you will; let me know..lol Again your answer was helpful. You're officially my LR3/LR4 'Guru / Coach. To show my appreciation, I went to your Patreon to donate & support but it doesn't look like it's set up????? I'm sure I'll be watching many more of your video, so I will try to again....peace
Hi there mate I’m so glad someone has got round to finally making a video that’s actually useful I’ve read the hand book and couldn’t get it to work big big thanks 🙏. Nigel 🇬🇧
Nigel Thaxter You're welcome, I understand what you mean. I read the manual multiple times and it finally sunk in and that's why I made the video. Thanks for watching I appreciate it, you have a good day.
It's funny that you say that because my family would say I love to just talk and talk and talk. Haha. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment.
Thank you for this video!! My LR3 height was raised while in the garage and watching this video I was able to lower it and get out without a scrap. THANK YOU!!!!
Thank you soooo much for this easy step by step video. I had my Landrover for a year I’m just really just getting into it an driving it…I really needed this information because i was clueless, I used ur steps to raise my LR (it work on point) I was happy happy …I’m going to do all the steps but that step was important to me an work thanks
Yeah. I have a 2011 Vogue in Australia and it's the same. The hazard light requirement is obviously for safety/liability reasons as an extra measure to avoid people getting stuck under the vehicle, etc. Sounds silly, but stranger things have happened. The owner's manual suggests that this function is useful when hooking up your boat, camper trailer etc. so that you can get the hitch to the desired height.
Excellent video thank you very much. This has just helped me to diagnose a faulty suspension switch as it will raise on the button but will not lower. Thank you
I used to own a 2006 Land Rover LR3 V8 SE in Tonga Green Pearlescent with the same interior color as your LR3, and honestly I wish I knew about this feature, my Land Rover button has set on panic, and I had no idea that it can be changed to do other functions, I guess if I would have read the owner's manual I would have found that out. I also watched your other video about putting it into extended and super extended mode, I wish I would have known of that too when I had mine, I always loved riding in off-road height, I wish you could have kept it at that height going at any speed, here in New Jersey, it is impossible to drive 30 mph or less anywhere here. It was nice getting to watch your video and seeing and hearing the LR3 start up, I do miss the sound of that Jaguar 4.4 liter V8 engine starting up, but I don't miss my 17mpg fuel economy, lol.
Well done! Although it seems dumb to have to press the red flasher button in the car to use the remote button to raise or lower the car. May as well just press the raise/lower button on the dash; less buttons to push.
Great help , thanks for the info, I've watched a lot of this type of video and without doubt you are the best instructor and easiest to understand, great work!!
Hello, I really enjoy your videos and your LR3 looks just like mine. I recently had an issue with my 1 remaining key fob (the 2nd was lost years ago) so I ordered a new key fob from a Range Rover dealership some 580 miles away (1 way) for a Whooping $488 and the hoops I had to jump thru to get my brother who only lives 27 miles away from this dealership to pick it up. I got the keyfob and it fits in the ignition BUT the Land Rover won't start. The dealership said I can use my 1 keyfob that starts the car but something has happened to the buttons so the lock/unlock/3rd button DO NOT WORK, and yes I changed the battery, still nothing, to DRIVE the 580 miles down to their dealership and pay ANOTHER $200 to "Program" the NEW KeyFob that I PURCHASED FROM THEIR DEALERSHIP. I am getting old and this is not a trip I wish to make if I can do it myself. My question to you is, Do you know how to program the new new keyfob so it will at least start my Land Rover? If you know how to get the Lock/Unlock buttons to work then that would be an added bonus as removing that keyhole cover on the driver's side to unlock the Rover EVERYTIME I lock it is getting very old. I have a older iCARS diagnostic scanner but haven't found a keyfob programming option in there, I also have a mechanic friend that owns his own small shop that does service on my 2000 Porsche 911, 1995 Audi A6, 1987 Toyota 4Runner and my 1993 Toyota Land Cruiser, however after the 3 months of fiddling with the air suspension last year (I needed the 2 front shocks replaced), he could get it to reliably calibrate with any of his SnapOn Versa and other scanners so I ordered the Atlantic British coilover kit with EAS bypass harness and that has worked great this summer but I still wanted to get a spare keyfob as it's always a good idea to have an extra, I wasn't told anything by the dealership about this keyfob not starting the vehicle. Can you help?
I've never had to do that but because of your ordeal I'm going to do some research and see if I can find a solution. That is ridiculous on how much they charge.
@@oxmanagain Thank you "Oxmanagain", we are becoming increasingly frustrated with this Land Rover ordeal and the fact that I have gotten a spare keyfob & valet key from my Porsche dealer for LESS then this Land Rover LR3 keyfob, and the Porsche dealer had everything preprogrammed by my 911 C4's VIN, so I didnt have to do anything with it, it just worked. Same with my Audi A6, I got a spare keyfob for $190 shipped and it just worked. Your videos are always awesome, you do a great, clear, precise dialog and explain things well enough that any logical person should be able to follow. Thanks for any info you can dig up, the best I got after some arm twisting over the phone was a email with some vague instructions to program the key using my Mechanics Snap On scanner. Have a great Friday and you get another "Like" on this video 👍
Always knew you could program the button but could never find a video or anything on how to do it... wish I didn’t have to put the damn hazards on to lower/raise it but thanks!!! (‘06 RRS)
Hi! We have a Land Rover Discovery 3. The key somehow activated the panic function, and now we can't open the trunk. How can we reset it so that the third button on the key, labeled "Land Rover," opens the trunk again instead of functioning as a panic button? Thanks in advance!
Hello my friend great video, but on mine which is a French version only the front tail lights turn on when I program the remote, and also if I push the button within 2 seconds or less, but it turn off the lights... Maybe a fonction only for American cars.
Why does the LR4 and newer remotes not have the Land Rover button? My fob just has a button for each thing (headlights, tailgate, lock, unlock and panic).
I have 2 Landrovers and its nice to see someone who loves there Rovers as much as me !!! Thanks for the VIDs if you have any recommendations for a hitch glad appreciate it!
Hi, When I try to program the tailgate to open the alarm will go off and it wont let me program the tailgate function, any suggestions? Also I have to slam the tailgate to shut it. Any advice on how to adjust the latch?
Can you set the boot release from pressing and holding the interior unlock/lock buttons? As my boot switch has gone and its a realy struggle to get in the boot
Hey oxmanagain. We share the same taste in Land Rovers. Wondering if you have ever replaced the valve cover seals or even had the valve cover off. I need to replace a spark plug tube seal (Passenger side) and am curious if it is even possible without a major disassembly. Have you ever?
Excellent video. However I don’t see the point in higher in for lowering if you have to have hazards on. Seems pointless. All other programmes though that Landrover did are useful. Thanks for the video. Top class :-)
I tried to program the LR button to activate my headlights and reverse lights. It switched on the headlights with the first press and switched them off with the second press. It turns out the car needs a CCF edit to make the reverse lights come on with the second press. So I edited my car and it worked but it also gave me a plethora of dash warning lights and I lost function the audio unit and sat nav screen so I changed it back again.
Thanks for the instructions, just wish you didn’t have to have the hazards on to raise/lower. PS have you discovered how to turn on the camera system for the us models? For the wireless cameras
Awesome video again. Are your hid projector lens cloudy at all? Mine are. Is there a way to clean then without disassemble the unit? Thanks again! Just picking your brains.
Very informative video and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I own a 2005 LR3 V8 HSE with 160K miles and love it! I keep up with the required maintenance with the dealership but they sometimes miss a few things which I have to point out. I would prefer not to pay the high cost charged by the dealership for regular maintenance and repairs. Being disabled, I can not do the work myself so can you recommend any mechanics in the Maryland or Virginia area who work on Land Rovers? The back hatch won't stay up when open and I have a suspension problem. Any info that you can share will be appreciated.
Hello My 06 LandRover LR3 has problem turning on sometimes and I got it checked an the mechanic said I need a new key. Battery is not strong enough to turn the truck on. Is this possible?
Hello there! Is their a way to program the “third” discovery button to unlock the car? My unlock button finally gave out and these my fobs are expensive.
Get a new key fob case or battery for your Land Rover or Land Rover accessories, here is the link. amzn.to/2NX9Ilh
It says program off suspension default slowly raising but it doesn't raise at all if I put regular shocks will it still Ride smooth
Hey how are you doing oxmanagain today on my way home from work I hit a dip and my land rover L3 raise up can it be something electrical
Even the off-road bottons came on

Thanks for the instructions, just wish you didn’t have to have the hazards on to raise/lower.
PS have you discovered how to turn on the camera system for the us models? For the wireless cameras
Yes I agree I do not care for the hazards. I don't have a camera in my model.
SO PROUD TO BE BRITISH MADE
Awesome video again. Are your hid projector lens cloudy at all? Mine are. Is there a way to clean then without disassemble the unit? Thanks again! Just picking your brains.
They were and I made a video on how I cleaned them. Thanks for watching. Here is the link. ruclips.net/video/DPs_xAk5iq0/видео.html
Thanks bro
Very cool
Very informative video and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I own a 2005 LR3 V8 HSE with 160K miles and love it! I keep up with the required maintenance with the dealership but they sometimes miss a few things which I have to point out. I would prefer not to pay the high cost charged by the dealership for regular maintenance and repairs. Being disabled, I can not do the work myself so can you recommend any mechanics in the Maryland or Virginia area who work on Land Rovers? The back hatch won't stay up when open and I have a suspension problem. Any info that you can share will be appreciated.
Another good video my man !! thanks
Thanks, I appreciate you watching.
Hello My 06 LandRover LR3 has problem turning on sometimes and I got it checked an the mechanic said I need a new key. Battery is not strong enough to turn the truck on. Is this possible?
From what I heard the key does have a major role in starting the vehicle. I would call and ask the dealer and see what they say.
Thank you for your response.

Is there any way to program the remote so where my horn is a loud horn instead of a silent arm or disarm?
Not to my knowledge and I have tried.
@@oxmanagain Thanks Bro! You always respond back and that's appreciated! FYI you have the best F#%#@%! LR Videos!!!
@@myathletesbody Thanks for the compliment. Best comment.
Hello there! Is their a way to program the “third” discovery button to unlock the car? My unlock button finally gave out and these my fobs are expensive.
After reading the manual again. The third button isn't programmable to unlock or lock the doors.
Thank you. I appreciate your videos!
I'm guessing this will work on the l322 also
