Train Simulator 2018 - Route Learning: Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno (AP Class 150)
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 окт 2018
- In this episode of the route learning series, we take a journey along the scenic Conwy Valley Line between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno in North Wales. Our stops along the way include Dolwyddelan, Betws-y-Coed, Llanrwst, North Llanrwst, Llandudno Junction, Deganwy, and Llandudno. Unfortunately, as I don't yet own the Corris Railway route, the narrow gauge tracks of the Ffestiniog Railway don't appear at Blaenau Ffestiniog station.
You can download the Conwy Valley extension to the North Wales Coast route here:

Notes for this video:
1. I realised after recording that the narrow gauge track for the Ffestiniog Railway is missing at Blaenau Ffestiniog; this is unfortunately due to my not at present owning the Corris Railway add on. Hopefully I will own it by the time I make a return journey in the future!
2. This service is apparently scheduled to call at all stations, but I only called at the stations listed in the timetable for the scenario - so Roman Bridge, Pont-y-Pant, Dolgarrog, Tal-y-Cafn, and Glan Conwy were skipped in this video.
@PTGRail can I just ask why the buttons next to the gauges bounce up and down when the class 150 is moving is it a glitch or something?
That appears to be something to do with the recording software, that isn't actually occurring in the game.
@@LeoMartinDJ it does happen in the game cos I don't record on train sim and it happens to me every time I drive the class 150 mate
@@darrenknock1437 yep
Those stations are request stops, also, the Corris Railway track would be wrong because of the gauge. The FR is narrower (1' 11 3/4").
Jeez that's a long tunnel! Keep up the good work as ever.
The actual run starts at 6:50 😎
You did very well to pronounce those stop names
excellent video as always. Looking forward to upcoming videos and keep up the brilliant work !!
Tal-y-Cafn is a manual crossing, operated by a crossing keeper. The train must stop and wait until the crossing keeper give a green hand signal to proceed.
Easy to remember the speeds on the Conwy Valley line. There are two: DEAD SLOW and STOP. Thanks for this.
RIP arriva trains wales , Hello Transport For Wales.
I know. ATW was a local company of mine just like London Midland was until it was replaced with WMT last December
How can you do all these routes and remember them I think you have a special talent 😉 anyway great vid
Looks like a pretty good representation of the real route! It's a shame we can't simulate request stops in train sim...
I believe the stop board by Tal-yCafn crossing is there so the driver makes sure the manual crossing gates have been closed - in real life they always approach very slowly, and often have to stop. I don't recall hearing them sounding the horn though.
I hear that Class 230 diesel-battery hybrid trains are to be introduced on this line from summer 2019. Regenerative braking would be handy for descending that massive hill...
Yay! I'm glad you did this route! Although I know the route off by heart because it's one of the local (not exactly, but close ;) ), I would definitely recommend this route to everyone! (I was also part of the project, which I was really proud of, thanks for the devs :) )
Don’t usually comment but i just cant resist with this video. First off..........Great Video, thank you.
I actually lived in Bleanau Ffestiniog for around 10 years and traveled this route by car a train a few times. So thank you for allowing me to re live what i have missed. Would just like to say, although i am not welsh in any way, I admire your attempt at naming places. Just a few that stood out.
Your first stop is pronounced “Dol-with-delin”
And Betws Y Coed is “Betoos Y Coid”
The Ffestiniog railway also runs all the way to Caernarfon Now also if you want to go that fare, And for the record, your where in Snowdonia at the beginning of the video until your exited the tunnel as Blaenau is in Snowdonia National Park.
I’m not saying anything bad towards your video and please know that it bought great joy to me and my partner to watch this. The sounds and sights are spot on and very familiar.
@PTGRail If you don't know / can't see the signal you're sat in rear of when registering the GSM-R use a wildcard between 990/999
PTGRail, I saw a tokan exchange at Rainford station (St Helens) for trains heading towards Kirkby (Merseyside).
First stop is Roman Bridge.
Blyne-eye-fes-tin-iog. Dol-with-el-Ann. Bet-ooh's-ugh-coid. Pont-ugh-pant. Don't shoot me, I'm only trying to help 😋
Rip ATW! Nice video
There's 4 sub classes actually.
150/0/1/2 of course. Some people have also known 150/9's to run
Brill video! Betws-y-Coed is said like Bet-us-ah-coid but it is quite a silly name! Either way, keep this amazing work up!
i noticed that signal you claimed to spad had a tpws grid; did you get a penalty brake?
Is anyone else having a problem with Holywell Junction westbound signal 113A being at danger immediately after HL2 shows a clear aspect?
Rode this journey last month, the Ffestiniog railway is missing and there is no platform anymore at Blaneau Ffestiniog
Nice vid mate 👍👍😻😼
This is the same duration as the london to brighton route. Just noticed 😄😄
The miniature tracks at Betws-Y-Coed, are they actual tracks, or a non-usable asset?
They are an actual track asset, there's just no miniature trains in TS yet to run on it.
@@wgcameraman4650 Brilliant. I may well rectify that situation.
The Guy on the platform @18:35 is thinking "Why didn't the train stop??"
How come most of the trains you can change the camera to the passenger but but can’t on the 150
Peter considering that people are working on the missing link on the wcml would you think of doing the whole route once it releases
Absolutely! I plan to do the whole WCML and GWML in the future. :)
Great video. Does anyone know how to get the 158 lights to work? They are red at both ends for me.
I've done everything and my class 150 doesn't move pls help what do I do
Neither does my 156
I always wonder, how much bumpier are local railway lines compared to fast mainlines in the UK (if they are)?
You r the best man!!
been to all places
I just bought the actual Cab Ride Video Of Blaenau Ffestiniog to llandudno.
Do I need to unzip any files when I download this and where do I find the route in the train sim menu?
Nice vid m8
Peter Can you do a Route From Edinburgh Waverley To Dundee With a class 170 Turbostar Ap My Name Is DanielAberdein And Iam From Dundee
What 3 makes are there of the 150 i onow theres 150/1 and /2 is there a /3
It’s a /0 as far as I know.
As PTG Said its 150/0 which are proper 3 cars 150/1 and /2 however until summer 2018 their where some hybrids which were /9 which was a 150/1 with a /2 car in the middle
I’m doing a entire playlist of British routes
Peter, You would never say 2 delta fifteen. It would be 2 delta 15. Just to let you know.
One question is there a network rail class 150 look like
There certainly is. It's a modified class 150/1 converted into a class 950 (950001) and is the only modified class 150 in network rail's fleet. It isn't modelled on train simulator at the moment, I don't think.
Hi PTGRail
I've been watching your videos for a long time now and have really enjoyed them! Which is what has inspired me to create my own Train Sim videos which are mainly timelapses of different routes in the UK: ruclips.net/p/PL1W08UiUDdVacSCa_rYyTEsMgvJYdTu_M. Keep up the good work!
How do i get this route plz?

@@philshooter7485 How do i get the North Wales Coastal? Can't find it on steam like it says it is
@@scott567100 DTG removed it from Steam, I got my copy from Amazon
@@philshooter7485 Yeah i read that. I dont understand why? Cant see it on Amazon either now sadly, would be a good route. Seems silly, they've done the hard part of making it, why not leave it up and make more and more money off folk?
@@scott567100 It was removed for licencing reasons when Arriva and Virgin lost their franchises. It seems I managed to get mine before Amazon removed it as well. If you cvan find TS2018 for sale, it's bundled on that
Do a face reveal and set up soon? I know it's not important but I'm sure some of us are curious.
Man you butcher those station names
