Thank you for making this video! I have been on vacation for a week and have been unable to see my Farsi teacher, so this really helps me make up for it. You have earned yourself another subscriber!
Tutor Raza Nazari .I'm from Pakistan. I have studied Persian since my school age .30 years ago I started learning Persian. but now I'm seeing new things or new words in spoken language.
Thank you Mr reza for your very Persian language video I have been learning arabic and Persian it is a very nice language lasso do other foreign languages too Russian german Spanish I want to be fluent these beautiful Languages keep.very busy I don't have any boring moments Now I am also have been writing them I have been doing these languages a number of years now God bless you
Thank you for the video. A couple of requests: 1) please indicate short vowels; 2) please pronounce the phrase much more slowly, at least the first time, so one doesn't miss anything and hears it properly.
my native language is talysh(or talesh) that is north-western iranian language, nevertheless we don't so well understand farsi. But i'm determined to learn it as i love it as my native language. And thanks for video. it is of great usage
I can't believe you didn't have "bihfarmayid"!!! Also was expecting "khosh amadid." But thank you for your videos. I am trying to brush up on my Persian, which I learned in college, plus some before on my own. A few of these expressions I've never heard before though, and I studied Farsi for three years, and have spoken with many Iranians. I think some of them must be local to where you're from. Most the people I know are from Tehran or Shiraz. Beherhal, merci, mamnoonam. :-)
Thank you for your comment! I chose these phrases from 1000 most common phrases. It was very difficult to choose only 50 most common phrases. I'm from Shiraz. But, these phrases are standard Persian phrases. Wish you all the best!
Salaam Reza, please teach me farsi. Spoken farsi and the farsi that we have in masnawi..as in I can read gulistan bostan masnawi in farsi and also understand its meaning. Please help. Regards.
As you noted, there are two ways to pronounce words, formal & informal. In your example "where are you going". formal speech would be "Ko-jah mi-ra-vid?" where the informal one is the way you had presented "mee-ree? It would be nice to include both versions which would provide better perspective how rich Farsi language is.
Formal way is "kojaa miravi" and informal "kojaa miri". In this series of videos I just did that! I provided a conversation in written "formal" and spoken "informal": ruclips.net/video/RjrKbckM2ME/видео.html
First thanks for providing us with a free video. Can you also please provide an explanation of why it means what it means ? What is mean is something like this من بايد برم Man, means, I, here it is used for emphasis since, Baram, the verb is conjugated to Man already. Bayad, is the third person of Baydan in the past, OO bayad. It means should. Now, if I am correct in my analysis I do no understand why is it 3rd person ? Does it mean something like "It is a must that I advanced".
Samuel Awny Great, your analysis is almost correct. but, about 'باید' I should say, it won't be conjugated, and it's not the third person. As you know, the meaning is: have to, must or should. Depends on the sentence. Maybe more examples gives you an intuition: Man bayad beram = من باید بروم I should go To bayad beri = تو باید بروی You should go Oo bayad beravad = او باید برود (S)he should go Ma bayad berim = ما باید برویم We should go Shoma bayad beravid = شما باید بروید You all should go Anha bayad beravand = آنها باید بروند They should go As you see 'bayad' doesn't change at all. It's part of the grammer, the verb is 'raftan' as listed above you see the conjugation, you add 'bayad' to the verb to say there is an obligation to do so.
Thanks for this video, it would help if you went through the words a little slower so it's easier to pick up pronunciation. One question I have is for number 35. Can you say "na fehmadi " also for I don't understand?
your videos are totally different from that Persian which I had studied in books.I'm from Pakistan. what is difference between this Spoken Persian and Persian of books ,which I had studied?

Great, your analysis is almost correct. but, about 'باید' I should say, it won't be conjugated, and it's not the third person.
As you know, the meaning is: have to, must or should. Depends on the sentence.
Maybe more examples gives you an intuition:
Man bayad beram = من باید بروم

To bayad beri = تو باید بروی

thank you for this video but please in your next video please could you go a little slower? the pronounciation is very difficult to pick up
thanks :)
Thank you for your feedback! Sure! I'll pronounce the words and phrases more slowly next time.
Going a bit slower pronouncing the words and adding English transliteration will help to learn both the words and to pronounce them correctly.
I have learnt so much farsi I'm so happy 😎😆

You should learn informal Farsi language (spoken form).

it means:
you are welcome!

Is there any rule of thumb when pronounce it V or oo?

No unfortunately! There is not a general rule for it. It sometimes sounds "v" and sometimes "oo".

Most of the phrases are used in both formal and informal.
Is this Standard Persian or spoken language? in which part of Iran Standard Persian is spoken?
This is standard Persian and it's spoken in Tehran and many other places in Iran.
Why didn’t you give English transcripts ?
Why English? Many Farsi learners don't speak English, that's why!

I want to learn how to say a woman YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
You can say "shomaa zibaa hastid".
Hi! In that case, you would informally say "To ziba hasti", or in a more formal way, you say "Shoma ziba hastin".
or Shoma gashang hastid, or, less formally, tu gashangi. Ziba is more "pretty;" gashang is "beautiful."
where is transcription??? Do u think all can read Farsi?
