What he did was exactly what this guy did. Bet against the other betters when their maths is all wrong
I bet horses (grew up by a racetrack) and when I was a kid I noticed that all of the professional handicappers that I met were math teachers or retired math teachers. So to me, that was really cool because it went against the stereotypes of gamblers being drunks and losers. What I wound up finding is that playing the horses successfully is 80% math, 15 percent horse knowledge and 5% random. There's a lot of risk avoidance too. He wouldn’t bet parlays, professional bettors don’t do that. We call those lottery tickets. Because any edge you have gained with your research is instantly lost the second you parlay and require all things to be right to profit. We bet the game straight up. 10k to net a profit of 9k if you win. Most of us average a win % of between 52-55. So sports betting at the professional level is not a get rich quick scheme. It’s small gains over time. It’s actually a grind and can be tedious and stressful. Not really that glamorous of a career choice. But I agree with Billy. I still trust my handicapping skills vs the betting market vastly more than the stock market. Best year I ever had betting sports I hit 14%ROI best year I ever had in my stock investments was 7%ROI and I had to keep my money tied up for a year. This was great advice. Like the stock market, you have to do your research to be successful. Betting is not as complicated as the stock market. Years ago, I talked to someone who helped with the handicap in a Vegas casino. Pay attention to the injury report, looking for trends, i.e. large markets sway the spread, travel, weather, grass/turf. Start out with small bets to experiment. Bet larger on the guarantees. A few dollars in a few years will build up a bank roll. Slowly, you can figure it out too.
I just track pricing inefficiencies based on how the books perform at every subset of odds for various moneyline and prop bets and do deeper analysis into various pricing trends from open to close. I don't even know the names or abilities of the people I place my bets on half the time. Did this for a year on paper before using real money. It's amazing how easy it is to win at sports betting.
@@ronswanson1410 I’m currently beginning on betting and your method seems really interesting. Is there any way to get in touch with you to get more details?
Betting is infinitely more complicated than the stock market, that is unbelievably inaccurate. A 5% return in sports betting is considered elite level. You can earn more than that by holding a blue chip stock or index, or just a freaking HYSA. You're talking out of your ass if you're suggesting to someone that it's not hard to win 54% long term. The statistics behind how many people are actually capable of pulling that off versus the people sitting in RUclips comments talking about how easy it is raises the BS alarm as loud as a foghorn. The best sports bettors in the world either spend 16+ hours a day grinding research or spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on the world's best quants to automate it. I guarantee you cannot show returns of more than 5% and a win rate of above 54% long term in sports betting and you are just whispering sweet nothings. In fact I'll bet $100 on it.

Which means your expected value is positive, and you will make money in the long run. BUT, even though your expected value is positive, you can have "unlucky" streaks in your career and if your bankroll can't handle those losses due to being overleveraged, you will go broke My rule is never risk more than 2% of your bankroll in a single bet

Sports doesn't even need to be rigged by the players or teams all they need is a corrupt referee. Look at that basketball ref who was rigging games and making bogus calls to sway the games. He said himself that over 80% of all the games he reffed were rigged and the outcomes were extremely accurate.
It kinda makes sense. Some friends and I used to pay these sharks for info. It was weird. They would allude to things being fixed and would sometimes call us last minute and have us bet on the strangest games. I think there is something to it. Sometimes we'd win a bunch of games in a row, like 10 or more, just to turn around and lose just as many in a row. I think feeding us bad info was deliberate. I can't figure out why they would purposely feed us bad info seeing as how we were paying them. I think they would feed lots of folks bad info to try to influence the line.🤷🏻

NBA is absolutely rigged. They favor the home team because there is nothing separating them from the crowd. And pay attention to the calls. You see a bad call, ie; someone goes for a clean steal but the ref calls foul within a few minutes there will be a "make up foul" to the other team to "even it back out". That's how you get called for a foul being six feet away from the other player. it's rigged you mean. there's too much money involved for it not to be. Players are nothing but actors. They work with the refs.
I need this man to hit my parlays 😅
I have to get this man's book and read it quickly so I can start winning lots of cash! 💵 🔥
@@ronswanson1410 Good advice. I agree, it is best to experiment on paper before you spend real money.

Being a gambling "expert" is not about how many times you get right, but how well you manage your bankroll.
Say you win 55% of the times of the bets that you place (which is extremely good btw). Which means your expected value is positive, and you will make money in the long run.
BUT, even though your expected value is positive, you can have "unlucky" streaks in your career and if your bankroll can't handle those losses due to being overleveraged, you will go broke
My rule is never risk more than 2% of your bankroll in a single bet

He said he was betting on my game against his “friends” and I won him back everything he had lost that year. I was 16.
When I started to dabble into sports betting I quickly realized how much time and energy is needed to actually try and make a living off of it and figured Im better off to put that time and energy into something that is going to for-sure make money.

Exactly, all sports are rigged, so Vegas can get people to throw their money away.

After this whole video all I can think is “giving that offense 7 was CRAZY BUSINESS”
At 6:00 he says “there’s more transparency in todays game than ever” I’m sorry but he clearly hasn’t watched nfl or the nba of recent. I mean I understand the argument in that we have more eyes and better technology to spot things like this…. But that’s exactly what’s happening more eyes are spotting the bs that goes on in sports😂. The amount of fouls in the nba and calls in the nfl have only went up and have only been more obvious
@@theacgkid ok scratch the “going up” part can we talk about the obviously blown calls? And idk if you watched the nfl in the early 2000s but you can’t deny the fact that the game has changed completely… it caters for shi**y calls to be made in the nba and the nfl… just watch film of people claiming rigged moments in the nfl it’s all there for you to see and none of the tape is from the early 2000s or later despite all the film we have. I don’t bet on sports (I have before but don’t) nor am I cowboys fan😂 just a man with eyes and a brain that’s questioning the obvious
@@theacgkid and don’t comment on how that’s dumb just watch the RUclips clips yourself it’s almost undeniable that people should at least question all the bs that goes on
@@theacgkid yea bro and what’s ur source 😂 I bring up a theory and you deny it with a hypothetical… prove me wrong and don’t just say what we all know like no shi they obviously can’t openly change the rules to cater towards gambling admittedly rigging the system. James Krause got caught after that egregious line movement on the Derek Minner fight.
He got caught because he was selling insider injury information
Ya I remember betting Nurdanbieke on that fight the night before it happened and waking up like "oh shit the fix is in"

I find it ironic that he insists NFL isn't fixed after the Phizer, Taylor Swift Bowl!
I don’t get the Pfizer connection, but I believe there is too much pride, ego and too many people involved to rig a game that big.

Billy Walters was brought on JRE solely for damage control. You have a large percentage of fans who actually watch the games thoroughly that believe outcomes are swayed by refs and players so this is tactical and strategic to help eliminate those sorts of speculations and thoughts. There’s a lot of money out there being thrown at modern day sports, Billy along with any other knowledgeable gambler knows better than this. Billy must have had DraftKings, NFL, NBA, etc money shoved up his ass to come on here to say this silly shit. DAMAGE CONTROL-IT IS RIGGED.
joes a spotifyshill we all know it
Ah yes, the comment I was looking for
Lol, Billy Walters could fucking buy DraftKings. So many salty people who have donated their money to sportsbooks in these comment sections without fail, every time
I have wondered if Billy is a psyop for a while now lol
how much u lost?
0:29 much more transparency in sports betting I know the coaches know the players I know the trainers I know the owners I know their travel schedule I know what kind of activities they’re involved in during off-season or in season. I know the eating habits I get live data from GameDay game week week month-to-month, that level of Transparency doesn’t exist in the stock market. To each their own.
I agree
Unless you’re in the government. Our government has so many corrupt characters inside trading
Growing up in the 80's gambling was a degenerate addiction, and now in the 2020's it's a cool thing to do, you see it advertised on TV with celebrities and everything, it's more respectable than being a lawyer or a politician.
Billy RARELY does interviews....If you are not in the gambling world, you have no idea how big of a get this is for Joe !

Sports is so corrupt, unless you have inside info like this guy you will never win consistently.
If someone asks you do you shit your pants, are you gonna bring up that one time you did when you were 1 or are you gonna say no?
Because he's explaining how easy it is to spot. Meaning that if it is happening it will get cleaned up relatively quick
His point is that it is obvious. There are individual actors, who are dumb, who are caught right away. That ASU story is from 20 years ago? The NBA ref, Donaghey, was years ago. It is rare, and it is identified quickly. All major sports have a critical interest in the wagering integrity of their product. They would need to be insane to condone, shelter, or participate in any shenanigans. That would shut off the money printing machine! Would you shut off your own money printing machine, in your basement?? of course you wouldn't. If a dumb-a44 loser like you would not shut off a money printing machine, why do you believe that educated, experienced, and successful people with responsibility would shut off their money printing machine?? Why do you believe that?
I mean the guy has been to jail for insider trading. If he knew specific examples currently happening would he come out and talk about it on a podcast...
His reasoning for how/why sports gambling isn’t rigged sounds a lot like how/why the economy isn’t rigged… “regulations protect us” BULLSHIT
It doesnt exist. . . Goes onto list multiple examples we've all heard of and ignores 5 other stories that have been uncovered recently. His argument is that all the ones he knows about got uncovered. No duh lololol its 100% rigged

@@dustyglenn8347 did he say on a whim? No. Did he say people betting big and moving the line was always sketch? No. He said he did his own independent analysis. His bet is measured by the size of the difference between his prediction and the market's. He said 'mysterious' actors placing large bets out of no where and moving the line was sketchy.
@@CimbomFanFiction listen to this podcast episode and he explains his side of the story with great detail
I played football. Loved it. I've found the best thing you can know to make accurate predictions is the players. How they play, their strengths and weaknesses, whether they have passion for the game, natural talent, etc and also knowing the game from a players standpoint. I've always had a good time betting considering these things. Knowing each offense and defense from watching the games too.
Finnaly a large platform speaking on rigged sports… it’s rigged and we deserve to know
NBA is absolutely rigged. I started waning from the NBA in the mid 2000's because I was calling the game by the end of the 1st quarter and calling make up fouls seconds before they happened. It became too scripted because it is the home of the "Cinderella Story"
