- Here is a really easy recipe for Greek rice pilaf that's a hit with everybody!!! Using only a handful of simple ingredients, this recipe shows you how to make rice like the Greek restaurants...
INGREDIENTS LIST
* 2 cups long grain rice
* 3 cups chicken stock
* 1 cup lemon juice
* 1/2 stick salted butter
* 1 cup frozen peas
* Salt & pepper to taste

I made this like in the video, but instead of baking the rice I boiled it. 15 minute simmer covered and let it sit covered for another 15 minutes. It came out GLORIOUS!!! Tastes just like the restaurant style. THANKS!!!

made this on stove top with dried parsley, dried dill, garlic powder and simply organic onion flakes and I added a bit of tumeric. delish!! served with roasted carrots and Greek slouvaki marinated chicken breast

Man I really hope this turns out like my restaurant rice I will give this a try for sure. I've been hunting long for the rice that my local greek restaurant named "Au vieux duluth" uses. If I can get that same tasting rice then it solves my side dish dilemma of always getting fries lol.

I use a brand of chicken broth it's called GoBio. It comes in Cubes. It's less salty. I get it from Metro.
It is the best go to Greek Pilaf rice.

Pack it in measuring cup and invert it on to your plate, looks very nice. Use an cup of your choice, we generally use 1/2 cup. Sprinkle some chopped parsley, what a presentation a long side your meat of choice.

We have a few vegans in our congregation and I try to have at least two dishes they can enjoy. I’ll let you know how it fares this Sunday. I’m going to also make Greek lemon potatoes and gyro meat with a nice Greek salad! I’ll have some store bought pita though...and since I’m a GA 🍑 at heart, I’ll have some buttery cornbread on deck!

What is oven temperature?
Hi! I made your recipe but it came out a very gummy consistency. I used Jasmine rice, is that why? Any other recommendations to avoid the gummy consistency? The flavour was great!
Oh no. Typically jasmine rice is stickier than other rice . Sounds like that was the issue. I usually use either basmati or plain long grain white rice....
If you soak Jasmine rice in water for 15-20 minutes before starting, then strain, it will remove much of the starch which causes the gumminess.
Butter is healthy!
