- Опубликовано: 27 июл 2023
- Soooo excited to finally complete the $400 Yard-sale Magna this was definitely the hardest bike to work on but I’m happy I can say I mastered the Honda Magna stay tuned to see a lot of more content of this Beautiful old bike. Definitely RIPS to be so old!!!!!!
These v4 magnas are a nightmare to work on I had a 1996 and they only get worse as the years went on. She sounds great, but definitely has an exhaust leak, may just need some new gaskets
Thanks I'll look into changing the exhaust gaskets I believe that's what's causing the backfires on deceleration I'll also replace the petcock. I plan on uploading alot of content with this bike one of my favorites now! All that hard work sure was worth it in the end to have a old-school 4V powerhouse 🏁🏍️
My exhaust rotted but the 4/1 from the vf750r fit and sounded better anyhow..
The third GEN Honda magna is the better one they’re not too hard to work on
Mi favorite RUclips channel no other youtubers ripping bikes as hard as you i put you up there wirh max wrist only difference is your channel is better because of your family.
thanks this comment made our day stay safe 🏁

Your wife's reactions to the epoxy carbs are priceless 😂😂
Awesome video guys
I can now say Ive seen it all the epoxy on the floats was a shocker!!
@@2wheelfamily493 the previous owner didn't want to spend a few $$$s and do the job right
I had a 84 V45 Magna that bike I love . I sold it n bought a 86 VMax n still have it today . My wife would ride with me to work . This Max would fly
You still have an amazing bike the VMAX 1200 is one of my favorite bikes! True monster
Great video brother. I like how you show how to service all of these different types of bikes. And the color skeem you put on those bikes are insane, especially on the hogs you have. Can't wait to see the next video.
thanks brother it's a lot of work but it's worth it. it's a blessing to have an audience who cares enough to watch the content appreciate the support Fam
New to your channel. Good stuff!
Thanks appreciate you following the channel happy your enjoying the content 😁
I have a 1984 magna v65. It's an 1100. So much fun. Was my father's and I rebuilt it.
wow that's amazing so cool that you rebuilt your father's bike keep that forever
Really love your excitement... awesome family... keep rocking love the magna...
Thanks these bikes are my passion happy I can share this passion with others
Nice bike she might be sucking a little air check exhaust at the heads for tightness, or intakes, boots etc... or maybe a 1/4 -1/2 turn on those pms screws .Love those magnas
Thanks really appreciate the information I thought it was my intake just making noise but I'll look into the exhaust as I'm almost certain after what you told me the exhaust probably needs new gaskets at the heads and to be torqued to spec I'll look into
JIS Screwdrivers are the bomb. No more stripped screws.
thanks I'll definitely keep this in mind!
Once you have a set you will guard them with your life! LOL@@2wheelfamily493
Man those pops! Glad you have a sharp mechanical mind brother..... Saves you alot of money and mechanics, screwing you over. Stay safe y'all!🏍🏍
thanks Fam this is one of my favorite bikes I plan on uploading alot of content on this little bike 😎
I love this bike, I'm infatuated with the Magna. That's a beautiful bike & the amount of work & love that went into this project is obvious. Can't wait to see what you guys do with it in the future
Thanks this comment made my day took a lot of work but it was worth it. since this video I've fixed the backfire on deceleration I plan on uploading alot of videos on this bike. Stay tuned 🏁🏍️
@@2wheelfamily493 that's great news. I'm planning on picking up my first bike this weekend & it's either gonna be a 95 or 83 magna, depending on how it goes meeting with the sellers. Believe it or not, I find your content really inspiring so I'm glad I could give you a little something back. Keep going strong my man 💪🏾
Love that wrap. Looks awesome the magnas or fun little bikes
thanks appreciate the positivity I plan on uploading alot of videos of this bike stay safe 🏁
Sick bobber
thank you!
After watching the other video this is a whole new bike, great job man! I'm getting an 83 magna today and I'm looking forward to it.
Thanks it took a lot of work but it was worth it good luck buying the 83 magna hope everything works out 😁
@2wheelfamily493 I got it on a trade it ain't pretty but it runs and rides It'll be my running project bike.
I told you!! I was so surprised with the torque of mine. Mine was the saber or whatever but it was smooth and the power curve was long. It pulled surprisingly well for an old hevy cruiser.
I now have a new found Respect for the Honda Magna these bikes are little monsters definitely pack a lot more power then they look!
That was my first street bike when I was stationed overseas. Have fun.
Thanks has been very reliable and strong
Nice job, looks amazing
thank you the bike still needs some work but she's coming along!
Glad you got it running, hopefully the exhaust gaskets will cure the pops, and maybe an on bike carb balance will be the icing on top, and ur excitement will be even bigger, njoy.✌️🖖💞💞💞
thanks appreciate you following the channel this is one of my favorite bikes I plan on uploading alot of videos of this one 😁
You have a fun channel, had to subscribe
Thanks for following the channel happy your enjoying the content 🏁
I love your work and love working in bikes my self, one think I look for when buying a bike is that is not modified in any way, I like them stock, because usually that’s what we find in a chopped bike, bad workmanship, damaged parts, I didn’t like the look of the bike when you got it and was hoping I was wrong.
Good job man you did it right.
Thanks appreciate the positivity happy your enjoying the content stay safe!
A bike cheaper than a moped, you are so smart. Take good care of that wonderful daughter of Yours, she is so pretty.. :-)
Thank you appreciate the positivity stay safe 🏁
Great work !
thank you!!
Sounds like an exhaust like when you started it
yes the bike has a major exhaust leak amazing how strong it's still pulling with the leak I already ordered new header gaskets just waiting for them to come in the mail.
Soooo I’m just gonna get me bike and we’ll talk😂😂 still love the Chanel ‼️🔥💪🏿
thanks for following the channel appreciate the support stay safe 🏁
I'm probably gonna buy a trike ..but that's a cool looking honda
that would be awesome good luck finding that trike!
Great video.
thank you!!
Well done brother 😎👏😎👍
What’s the latest on ya pop’s bike …..
thanks for watching the video my dad is finishing up with his Harley build will have the unveil video uploaded soon!
@@2wheelfamily493 awsome can’t wait 😎😎😎😎
Doing 2x 83 750 up in Australia, makes me so keen to finish them up watching you and response on a 700...
happy this video can encourage you to finish the bikes these bikes are definitely worth the hard work very reliable old machines just need some love I plan on continuing to put money into this bike going to make everything new. Good luck with your magna projects stay safe.
I got a 70s Suzuki little scrambler bike. I will donate to you if you ever come to AZ. Was running, but it’s been sitting for a while.
wow that's amazing thank you for the offer I'll definitely reach out to you if I'm ever in AZ. we actually live in NC on east coast good distance from you.
Whats under the tarp lol yall did a beautiful paint job on the magna btw love it.
Thanks the magna is a fun little bike. The car under the tarp is a Mazda Mx6
I wish I could convince the wife to let me put my bike in the living room, right in front of the TV…hahah
That would be cool thanks for watching the video stay safe
Good for you…..that made me smile
thanks for watching the video I'll have a update video soon as I fixed the backfire the bike was doing in this video!
@@2wheelfamily493 Yes I saw where all the screws were stripped out ect and I’m sure you found a lot more stuff where it looked like some kid was trying to work on it......backfire could be a little bit of funk left in the fuel system or someone might’ve tweaked the timing.....could be a bad plug wire and fuel making it into the exhaust and detonating.....I’m sure you’re gonna figure it out! But the main thing is how happy and motivated you are and your family all right there and happy. The world needs more of the example you’re setting bro......
Well done !
Grandfather John
thank you!!
@@2wheelfamily493
You're welcome brother
I love that bike
thanks this is one of my favorite bikes I plan on uploading alot of video on the magna
Bro this thing runs mint congrats , by the way did you get any video footage on removing the carbs ? , I have a 83 and would not trade it for anything definitely a keeper , I have leaking fork seals so I’m looking forward to how you replace them because I can’t find any videos on how to congrats again bro looks sick
hey thanks for following the channel sadly I did not film the removal of the carbs that part was actually easy cut off the old carb boots with a blade and walaaa your done carbs are free new carb boots are under $20 on eBay and need to be replaced anyway. if you type in card fork seals fix you will find videos on RUclips showing you easy way to try and fix your current fork seals I'm going to try the card method first before replacing the entire seal.
I just got a 83 V 45 hasn’t ran in over 15 years ! I’ll film the restore !
Very nice I'll keep my eye out for your restoration videos of that bike stay safe
Super buy you will have it running 🍬❤
Looks like different bike from when u got it 🙏
thanks put a lot of hard work into this bike 🏁
Look into getting a JIS head impact screwdriver for those stubborn carb screws. It'll pay off with all the wrenching you do...makes life much easier.
Thanks ill definitely keep this in mind stay safe
Dewalt makes these max fit bits. I've added really good luck getting striped screws out with them. I mean sometimes nothing helps. But I have had pretty good luck with them.
thanks for the information I'll keep this in mind!
I've not watched the whole video yet but it looks like the floats have been stepped on and repaired with epoxy
Guys, I gotta know what's under the car cover? I haven't run across a video saying what it is. It's driving me nuts 😅 good video like always 🙌
The car that is under the car cover is my Turbo MX6 😎
I just bought the bowl gaskets for mine 2002 Honda magna vf 750C for the bowl gasket in a little gasket, it’s on top of the carburetor $32 for one carburetor
that's very expensive you should be able to find better deals on eBay for magna parts and gaskets
Is that you maybe put over size jets in carbies for back fire ? 😊
it was actually the carb boots I forgot to install 2 clamps on 2 of the boots I've installed the missing clamps and no more backfire. I'll have a update video very soon!!
Just picked up an 84 literally exact same bike completely stock 12k original miles I’ve heard good and bad things about the V45 how bad was getting the carbs off?
this was the hardest bike ive ever worked on due to how hard it is to remove and re install the carbs doesn't help that there is manufacturers selling new carb boots that are to big took me days to realize my new carb boots were the reason re installing the carbs was almost impossible
Men, let me get this straight, you have a very good woman bro.
Congratulations for that. Gas✊
Thanks im very blessed to have my family stay safe 🏁
@@2wheelfamily493 You definitely are. My best wishes 🎉
Just outta curiosity what’s making it back fire like that 😮
the bike has a major exhaust leak needs new header gaskets I already ordered them last night that should cure the backfires
When the screws are stripped that bad I used my baby dremel tool (loonie size cutting disk) and turned the screw into flathead. Much easier to work with! owner may have meant well but that is possibly the worst I've seen for carb rebuild
That's actually a really good idea appreciate you sharing that
very nice
thanks I love this little bike.
These Japanese bikes take a JIS standard screwdriver. Go get a set you'll be glad you did. That bike is a great score.
thanks for the information I'll definitely keep this in mind I'm very happy with the bike
Beautiful 😉
thank you!!! 😁
Bitchin' ride bro. Needs a shorty rear fender in same blue to balance it out perfectly.
thanks appreciate you watching the video and that's a good idea I'll keep that in mind!
Would be cool to meet up with a bunch of YT supporters and we all go riding not sure we’re u are located but I’m in Concord NC
hey brother thats a good idea I'm in the triangle near Durham NC if you want to add me on Facebook my name is Iven Huracan we can definitely set that up one day!
Aso its chuffinglike a plug is loose or like its got a air leak or something thatcould cause the back fire
Ill be uploading the update video on this magna tomorrow the problem was the clamps on the carb boots needed to be tightened even more now no more backfires
🏍👍👍
thanks for watching the video 🏁
Hey brother you still have the 1600cc kawasaki mean streak??
Hey I actually traded my meanstreak for a VFR800
thats so wild about the epoxy on the floats..Who in their right mind does that?
Exactly lol
Had V65, it was crazy fast
i plan to eventually add a V65 to the stable
Bro you came up 400😮
thanks this is one of my favorite bikes! still needs a little work but she's coming along
Ahhh ... yeah..... I've never had an issue with smoking brake fluid...... I'm going to guess that the fork oil is getting onto the brake pads and that's whats getting stinky. While we're onto the fork seal issue..... take an empty clear dish soap bottle and cut out from the plastic a 4 inch long x 3/4 inch wide shape that resembles an Hysteresis curve, ( google the shape ), and push that past your fork dust seal till it bottoms out, then work that around the fork tube a full 360 then work it out of the fork tube. Then work the fork up and down to re-seat your fork seal. Chances are the leak will stop.
if this works, as most times it does, ..... it will save you the possible $1500 for a for fork seal rebuild and fork alignment
Really appreciate this information I'll definitely follow these steps definitely worth trying!!
Did you paint it since last video
I just added a theme to the bike using blue vinyl wrap I bought off eBay just to help the bike stand out. this can be torn off and removed at any time.
Is it for sale??
No sorry the bike is not for sale Ive already invested to much time and money into the bike. Im going to keep it and continue making everything new. Appreciate the interest stay safe!
That thing got some 2 step
lol rite backfires like crazy new exhaust gaskets should fix this
Exhaust leak ?
it was actually the carb boots I forgot to put clamps on 2 of the boots. Installed the missing clamps now no more backfires. Will have a update video soon
I'll like to ride with u homie but u dnt got a motorcycle I got a banshee 350 twin
I'm down to link up and do a review of your banshee that would be a cool video
looks like he tried to seal the floats and made them heavier..
Exactly!
Needs louder exhaust and will be perfect
I agree thanks for watching the video I plan to continue putting money and time into this little bike one of my favorites now!
Do you have any bikes for sale bro
not at this time me and my wife collect motorcycles we rarely sell them
I got it thanks keep the channel 🔥my guy
Do you sell any of these bikes? Cause you get a new bike like every week! Ha.
me and my wife collect motorcycles though we do sell a bike from time to time
@@2wheelfamily493 lol. Dang well where do you work? so I can apply! Haha
@@jdmnic1I'm actually retired thanks for following the channel stay safe
Floats that sink ,😢😢
Happy I replaced all the old floats they were all on there way to sinking
I'm dead bro not the rtv

That poping sound ..u have a leak in one of the carburator booths ..i got a magna and it was doing the same po..po..po.po..i rebuilt the carb..and got a new booths..and it got a powerfull engine...if u can hear that air..thats a carb..leaking..it will start it will run but it will make that poping sound..take a carburator cleaner with the engine running spray some on each booth u will notice wich one is leaking...and take it from there...I LOVE MY MAGNA 1984..V45
You are exactly right i simply needed to tighten the clamps on the intake boots now the bike runs perfect with no backfires I'll have a update video on this bike uploaded today!
Might just be the audio but sounds like exhaust leak at idle on here
Your rite the bike had a exhaust leak I've since fixed it and will be uploading an update video soon
