La Couturière (Rarity's Theme) [Original] (Feat. Octavia, Lyra and DJ Pon-3)

- Well we finally got ourselves a tascam and a condenser mic and pop shield, so back to making more music. Yay! Now... A long while back a user by the name of AwesomeKoko1 said we should write theme songs for the ponies, and we happily agreed to, so without further ado, I present Rarity's Theme.
Stepping out of our comfort zone and backing away from the rock for a moment to pursue some synthy sounds, when writing this song we figured what kind of music would Rarity be into and the answer was pretty obvious, classical music, which is where the strings came from. We had this scenario going around in our heads of Rarity asking Octavia and Lyra to play her some nice mellow classical music with her double bass, a string band and Lyra's harp, but shortly into the song, we join in with the guitar and drums, okay Rarity thinks it sounds okay no need to throw a fit, then as it progresses, DJ Pon-3 starts laying down some synths. Rarity obviously annoyed leaves but we continue to play. Strings and Synths definitely need to be mashed together more often, they sound really good together.
We kept in a few lines from Art Of The Dress, to make it more recognisable as a theme which would fit Rarity, we also dropped the guitar, drums and synths and kept the strings and harp playing near the end to keep it elegant and close to classical music. If anything it sounds like a battle theme.

This doesn't sound like Rarity. It sounds like Rarity super-powered up and waging a war of fabulosity in her best outfit, with explosions dazzling the background like glitter as she trots to victory. I applaud you for making this.

I have to say that i always love and idolize Rarity from her elegance and talent. I was sad when i noticed that my favorite sweater, that has brough me so many memories and joyful moments for these past 3 years made me to sew the ripped up parts together, and make it look like it was a new sweater, i thank that Rarity for her elegance and way to never give up.

I didn't realize Art of the Dress had been woven in there. You hid it well, but at the same time emphasized it enough to make it recognizable. And you kept it all flowing genuinely smooth. It's calming, in a sense, but it's melodic enough to keep you conscious as you listen to the tune. Oh, and then the sudden change in the middle was beautiful. Fantastic work~

I congratulates you, dude. This is such a great piece of music, I tell you. You really know how to catch the character's personality through your songs, without changing the original style of itself. I love this one, particullary.
I listened with my head cocked like the RCA dog, but eventually I warmed to it; the final bridge (?) and the wrap up made me go "okay, yeah!" As a theme, I think it'd be a specialized version playing during a tense montage of tricky tailoring or some urgent moment during her story. Thanks for putting this together.

I like the final minute and a half best. Before that, it's like it's still hiding some of Rarity's true self.
But then that's how Rarity is. She hides behind her accent, outfits and high class ponies to hide her true 'Small Village Pony' nes. But if you give her time she will come out and show her true nature. Of course not to disrespect your opinions, of course. This still is only my opinion and you don't have to listen to it. :)

The first part is definitely haunting and beautiful. I just drove home in the sleet. The earth glow, the muted lights surrounded by the white and the shadows. Put this on, having only heard it once before, deciding to put it on my mp3 player. Fit perfectly.

First time I heard this with headphones it honestly brought tears to my eyes, this whole playlist I'm on of "Pony Themes" are so nice to just chill out to. Makes a nice change to find not just remixes.

I love this music. it's awesome in all respects, and have a lot of heart put into them unlike other artists who just repeat the same beat over and over; each of the songs is very indivisual and all are just awe-inspiring.

It's so rare to get such a good music made up of the original theme song ! You remix it with different instrument creating an song that just new brand song for the mlp fan base! And all the music that you have made does really stick with the character itself.
