@@kristin123a I "got" the question. Simply chose to give a serious answer instead of a joking one, because joking or not, it is a good question for all of us that have a tendency to slip hair ties on our wrists.
I was thinking the same thing when I bought it. It just fits my waist but you have to wiggle it a bit. Would have liked it if they made it a tat bigger because I always wear my elastics on my wrists
I've tried this. I have soft, silky hair and the classic Pony-O slips off after a few minutes. For those saying that their hair is too thick or too thin for this, I don't think thickness matters. It's the texture of the hair that matters. I think courser hair texture will have more success with this.
Ah- I have incredibly thick and heavy, but very silky smooth hair. I was dubious that this would hold, and it certainly sounds like it'll just sag and slide. Thank you Jasmina, this is super helpful!
Thank you for the input! For reference on the amount of hair that I have, I need three loops for my ponytail to have a tight hold on it. When the Pony-O was in my hair it felt like it didn't have any grip to it. I can see that being an even bigger problem for people with thin, so I thought a heavier/coarse hair type might have better luck. But it appears that this product may just be a gimmick.
I really appreciate how thorough you were in testing these (only suggestion would to have waited like a week so you were able to comment on how they wore for a full day and had time to really mull it over rather than sort-of sticking to first impressions) - but yes, I would very much like to see more reviews like these :) PS. I love these collabs with your sister - it's an awesome vibe (and really helpful to see a non-expert do the hairstyles too - she's so relatable)
I have long, thick, slick hair myself and my favorite way to secure my hair while running or doing anything high intensity is using spin pins. I either do a bun with three spin pins and ensuring all three of them hit both the outside of the bun and catches in the "inside" hair as an anchor. If I also want to have an aesthetically pleasing hairdo while running (say during a paid race where you get photos taken), I do a french braid, tuck it all under, and then use 4 spin pins to hold in place. Nothing else except this seems to work as beautifully!
You've never seen a ponytail so tragic? You haven't seen my 8-year-old daughter. She has Kayley Melissa pony cuteness in the AM, but the time she gets home, she looks like she's been through the playground fight club.
I've had the pony-o for about 6 months and I really like it! It can hold my hair right without tension and I don't get headaches at the end of the day.
I usually work out in a French braid. It holds my hair securely without the uncomfortable tension. And I have done it so often now that I can get one in quite quickly.
I had that a few years ago and olaplex helped it grow out. When it was really bad and straw like I used some watered down olaplex as a leave in treatment too.
+Poppy T i swear by olaplex too!! but reminder that olaplex only works when it’s wet and once it dries it stops the process, so it’s best as a pre shower treatment rather than a leave in treatment
loonafanclub I know but I just mean that I can get on with my day leaving it to dry naturally and it gives it more time to work without me having to worry about washing it out. I didn’t explain very well.
I found it worked best when I put my hair in a regular hair tie first then secured with Pony-O and removed regular hair tie. Extra steps but worked well
My hair is small to hers. A high pony with a braid and secured with a clear elastic works wonders for me. I usuallly need to bands to hold my hair in a pony but the braid holds it more still
I love my pony-o. I also have to say that Anna-Laura didn’t tighten it properly for her full pony. It NEEDS a sharp bend at each side, not a “half circle” shape. It won’t grip the hair enough otherwise. And yes, you should bend with both hands. One holding the middle, the other bending the end to get enough of a sharp bend to hold all day without pulling
kendraklopfenstein it can, it’s done that about 1 time for me and I just gave it a tiiiiiiiiiny pinch and it fixed it without making it all fall out and lose its 10/10 performance.
Im so glad your video does show that for long hair it doesn't hold. I have very fine long hair (and a lot of it), and bought this hoping it would help. Mine lasted about 1 minute before it fell out :( I thought id just put it in wrong. I will admit though, the bun bar you can buy through them has changed my life. My buns are amazing. Havent touched the pony o since though.
I have a Pony-O, and I think it's much more gentle on your hair than a traditional tie. It does take a little time to put it up, but it's pretty good once it's done. My hair now is probably 30" long, and I don't get headaches when I use it. It's also nice to have a perky ponytail for once, since the weight usually pulls them down!
I always do a low pontytail with my longer, denser hair and it ends up working well. Most ponytails either don't hold enough but are super comfortable or hold enough but have way too much tension which hurts my head. I find that the pony-o is the perfect middle ground :)
I love you guys doing videos together, good to see two different people doing the hair styles :) also nice seeing how the styles look on different lengths!
Bought one on Aliexpress a month ago but I can't get it to work because the second you break its straight state it curls up and slingshots out of your hands 😂 I really should Google some old commercials to see how it's done

Did Anna Laura or Kayley have any creases in your hair after wearing it for a few hours? I always have a huge crease from wearing ponytails and makes it hard to wear it down the next day.

Anyone ever told you that you look like a young Melissa Joan Heart? Like from her Sabrina the Teenage Witch years? First time seeing your Channel and will be back again!
It works GREAT!! Did take me a couple of tries to get it "right" (hair pulling, bumps, ect.) but once I did it has been amazing. I'm a carpenter so my head of hair goes through hell in a day. I was loosing my hair from such tight rubber band ponies and I can loosely have the pony-o not ripping my hair out daily.
I have tried these and they worked great for a few times. But then the wire inside broke and started poking through the rubber. Disappointing considering the price.
I have these in 2.0 and classic. Love them so much. Though I use the 2.0 for half up half down and the classic if I tie all my hair up bc the 2.0 just doesn’t hold all my hair that well and sags after a few hours. That’s why I had to get two sizes. Lol. And it’s super comfyyyyy. Feels like nothing’s on your head.
I was really looking forward to receiving mine.. but find then quite heavy on my head only had them 3days but it's been in my hair less then 5mons at a time... I'll keep trying... I have long fine hair down to my hips
May I suggest using a silk scrunchy when you are at home. It pulls less, causing less breakage and creases. It’s probably not as tight. But better for your hair in the long term.
the real question, does it fit on your wrist...
Nope. Unless you have a thin wrist... And then it'll be a pain to put it on or take it off your wrist to wear it.

Anyone ever told you that you look like a young Melissa Joan Heart? Like from her Sabrina the Teenage Witch years? First time seeing your Channel and will be back again!
You two are so sweet together.
Also, what are the two necklaces your sister had at the end of the video?
Wow. You and your Sis are TOO cute together! 🥰
Can you do a video on your wigs? Your collection, what you suggest, etc?
Could you try that hair hack where you leave some hair down but pull up some hair so it looks like a long ponytail?
Your hair looks so good shorter!! 😍
This length is soooo good on/to/for you !
you should do a tutorial on your curls with your even shorter hair!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Will you and Anna Laura do a video on how to styles your hair with beanies?
Just TRIED definitely a fine product... Will buy again n I've already shared with cousin.... 👍
Anna Laura in the white jumper looks sooooo much like Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar!! Who is of course beautiful. Fab review ladies, thaaaaaanks!
When you did the half up and you put the hair around the pony o where did you tuck the hair?
I was really looking forward to receiving mine.. but find then quite heavy on my head only had them 3days but it's been in my hair less then 5mons at a time... I'll keep trying... I have long fine hair down to my hips
Your sister is so pretty!
I just cut my hair off and cannot wait to see upcoming videos for your new sort hair!
May I suggest using a silk scrunchy when you are at home. It pulls less, causing less breakage and creases. It’s probably not as tight. But better for your hair in the long term.
