Grant is incredibly lucky that he has you looking after him so well in his senior years. Senior pets need patience and understanding and Grant has that with you. A lot of people could do with learning from you! 🙂
Thanks you God for grant , l m sad my old senior schnauzer scooter was 17 old year 2005 2022 yes l m take care my schnauzer scooter, scooter has can't got up, walk , 16 days without eaten, drink of water, all sleep on the my bed and scooter Was pass away October, 3, 2022 , l got Puppy are going be 9 next month 😡
Awww, Mr Grant looks so content snoozing away in his crate with his nappies on. :) So glad you found a workable solution. I was blessed that even with her dementia, my Kinzi remained continent. Old pets are a lot of work, but they are so worth it.
Thank you Kim for all you do for our beloved Mr Grant. Thank goodness there are now more products out there to help with an aging doggie. My friends little dog lived to be 19 yrs old and the last of those years she was on doggie diapers as she spent a lot of time sleeping and even when awake she was not aware that she was peeing.😔😪🥹😢 Blessings to you and your family for providing a nurturing & loving home to dear Mr Grant💖
My schnauzer had started having seizures in his last few years and couldn't hold his urine during them. I made him belly bands that velcroed and used feminine pads to line them. They were washable and saved my sanity. I thanked God for some sewing skills.😊 You are such a good momma to the boys!❤
I had the male wraps for my 17 year old schnauzer boy.....they worked so well, it was great for him. I bought baby wipes for cleaning him, he never had rash issues. Like Mr Grant.....my old boy didn't realize he was peeing, inside! Always took them off while he was outside. We do what we can, and older dogs are like seniors people with incontinence problems. We all come into this world wearing.diapers.........and if we live long enough.....we probably will leave this world wearing adult diapers! It just sucks to get old......lol! Glad to see Mr Grant looking so good in his Senior years.....
Your boys are so lucky to be spoilt as much as they are. It's so lovely to see how loved they all are. Mr Grant is having the best life you can give him, and that's all anyone can really do for their dog.
Grant is so precious 🥺 I'm so glad to see him still doing well even at the age of 15!! He is so blessed to have such a kind and caring mom to take care of his needs and accidents ❤
Mr. Grant is blessed with you as his mom. I love how you look out for him along with all your boys. Just like people with dementia it is important that they are loved and treated with respect.
Hi Kim So nice to see you all, loved all the information I have saved the information so if I need it once Asher gets older I can refer to it it all helps when we share information so thank you 🙏 😊. I am so happy 😀 Mr. Grant is living with you its so nice to see him get all this love and care ,I feel you are an amazing person with a big heart ❤️ ❤❤who just loves everyone take care Kim enjoy the rest of your week see you next time ,hugs to all the boys and kitty’s too xoxoxoxo 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😺😺🌼🌼🌼🌻🌻🌻🌷🌷🌷
Just a suggestion. People laugh because I have always had a bell on Max’s collar but it helps me keep track of where he is. Mr Grant seems to be very quiet probably from the dementia. A bell on his collar might help you know where he is. You always do a wonderful job of taking care of your boys. I’ve learned so much from you. Hoping to help you as well. 😊
Yu are so good with all the boys and admire and salute yur patience with Mr.Grant… I know seniors have special needs, but I always thought they gave us their true love, they deserve good and lovely cares even if it demanding…the older dogs deserved them 🥰🥰I know that yu Kim is such a good mom…!, I am not surprised the care yu give to yu older Mr.Grant. I love this dog, it is such a great schnauzer ❤❤❤
My Milo has to wear those too, between me and my dad we walk him every few hours but he just can’t hold his pee anymore 😢it’s sad to watch them get old but I’m grateful he’s still here, he will be 16 in July. Thank you for sharing the info! Mr. Grant is so well taken care of ❤
Our Scottish terrier had to wear a diaper inside the dog wrap for about a year. With his bladder CA It worked great . So glad Mr. Grant is doing so well with this. It's a great idea.💙
I forgot to mention in the video that I bought Mr Grant a size medium when I purchased the Teamoy Belly Bands. The disposable diapers are a size small.
Kim....so good of you to share all your practical solutions, involving your boy's day to day care, especially Mr Grant! I am just so darn happy that he is spending his Senior years......in your loving hands! You have honestly done everything to make his life and health better.....since you accepted him into your life and home. You are a such a good , caring person ( Hubby too)! (Wish I could leave my little toy size schnauzer girl......to you in my Will ) Seriously....I trust no one to take care of her, while I am alive.....I love her so much. Have a great week Kim! Love from BC, Canada .
Sooner or later we all seem to end up wearing diapers in our old age! You have the patience of a saint & your dogs have chosen you because you're good at caring for their needs. I hope when it's my dogs time to wear a diaper that I'll be as calm about it as you seem to be🤩.
Hello there everyone. It is always so good to see everybody. Hug's 🤗 and kisses to all of the fur babies. Thank you so very much for all that you do. Love watching your videos. Enjoy your day and take care
I love you so much and appreciate your love and care for Grant. My older boy, Mr Bobo wears one too, he has no issues with them and they really help him to not have accidents when he get anxious. I think you are such an amazing doggie mom. Love seeing you and your boys.
Dear Mr grant,he is such a good boy, bless him, life sucks how many illnesses our beloved pets can get,my 17 year old girl had canine dementia, thanks for explaining your routine with mr grant, good products
Kim, I wanted to say you are doing a fantastic job with Mr. Grant. My little girl was diagnosed with doggy dementia and lived to be almost 18 years old. I did the same thing that you are doing with her however at the time they did not have doggy diapers. I was purchasing diapers for a newborn. It worked at the time. So I just wanted to give you lots of encouragement. My vet actually put my little girl on Prozac the last years of her life and that seemed to help with the confusion. Take care and thanks for sharing.❤
i wanted to comment that Nature's Miracle saved mine and my male cat's life when my vet misjudged his age and said he was "too young" to fix, but found out he was a boy while I was at work and marked my entire house. I found a new vet who would fix him the next day (my vet said she could schedule a nueture in 2 weeks!!! What am I supposed to do with my cat spraying my house for 2 weeks???). Anyway, I got some Nature's Miracle and wiped the entire house (including the walls). He did not spray again !!!! Hurrah !!!! You are a wonderful Schnauzer Mom for caring for a senior dog so well.
I had the same issues with my boys... one with dementia and one with leaky problems. We use a product called pet parents and it went on with just a little hole for the tail to go through and velcro on . They were washable also worked well. The diapers you have look like they would have worked great too. What we do for our fur families. We love them lots.🐶🥰💜
I have that Bissell stain remover too. It works well for eliminating the traces of urine, so the dogs don't go back to the same spot. I tried the doggie diapers with my Wiener Dog. She had kidney issues. She hated them and had them off shortly after we put them on. lol Glad Mr Grant likes his and they are helping.
Sorry I missed this video when it first came out. This was a really nice video. You're a super Schnauzer mom to take such good care of Grant. I wish everyone loved their pets like you do. My dear boy will be 13 in May. I hope he can still have some quality life for as long as he possibly can. Thanks for video.
Please please pray for Rags. Found to have advanced cancer in his nose and taking over his face and elsewhere in face. I am beside myself and I will watch your video later and it will bring me joy!!!! 😭🐾🐕
Love your videos. We have a schnauzer who has marked some areas in the house. Could you tell me how you use the Natures Miracle urine remover in your carpet cleaner. You mentioned you use it in a carpet cleaner at times. I'd like to get the smell and sticky feeling out of my carpet. Love seeing all your babies.
I put it straight in the part of the cleaner that’s for water. I go over the spot multiple times. Then I fill my cleaner with hot water and go over it multiple times. Before I use the steam cleaner I do the steps I talked about in this video first.
The ones I bought from Amazon for my girl, only had a hole in the back for the tail (or nub). So you have to take the diaper completely off for them to do there business.
Can I ask you a question. I have a 2 year old miniature schnauzer. She frequently gets urinary tract infections and bladder stone removal already. Did any of yours had this issue?
@@SchnauzerMom ooh! That's the same crystals what our pepper has it too. She is on prescription kibbles. Is there a particuoar treat that you give? Thank you for the quick reply🥰

Regarding the cloth diaper, you could stick a sanitary pad inside to. Might be cheaper than the disposable diapers.
Good idea 👍🏻
Thank you for the info! I have a rescue Miniature female who is probably 13… I have to take her out every 3-4 hours… this info is so helpful!

Belly bands.
Awwww, sweet Mr. Grant. 💛🦴 I bet he feels less stressed with the diaper on too. Great info!
