The Astral Bow with a Snow enchantment is like cheating in every fight. It gives your bow +5 frost damage (round up to 6 with the 10% bonus on the bow) and your bow applies slow with every shot. Combine with the cripple effect from the evasion shot and the enemies slow to a crawl while you turn them into a Pin cushion. The Wolf Bow with the snow enchantment is even more silly.
Astral bow does feel very unfair. I have been told by a few that the wolf bow is excellent. I never got much use out of it, but definitely see its potential. The astral bow is almost too fun though.
You should see the vampiric bow with poltergeist enchantment on it. I mentioned it on sheenshots enchantment video. The trade off on damage is worth it on this bow. It's because of its ability The math is you get 12 raw damage that is always 12 damage no matter what enemy you face (expect one) since raw damage cannot be resisted by anything in game. That also means it gives that same 0.1x 12 & blood regeneration & 0.05x 12 blood burnt health regeneration for every shot. The lower max damage no longer matters because of its ability to blood leach on *anything you hit*. You no longer need to max out a pull to hit for max damage either, though you can still keep doing so. In the end you can speed up the firing rate because of this.
I totally overlooked the meteoric bow. That might be the first top 5 Outward video where I was totally suprised by the first place, but I cannot deny these stats.
It is the only bow with a crazy amount of elemental damage. And the crazy thing is that I didn't even enchant it for this video. it gets twice as strong with that enkindle enchant.
I agree. The system is really cool and fun to use, but abusing it gets things done much faster. For a game that already takes a long time to complete its nice to have a quicker way to get though the item preparation.
No Wolf Bow w/ Snow, list is bad 😜 But seriously, Wolf Bow w/ Snow is top bow, at least deserved the number 2 slot…with an assassin elixir and soul Rupture arrows nothing beats this bow. Also side note, you can also use Piercing Shot with the Astral Bow to inflict Extreme Bleeding alongside the poison and burning dots, enchant it with Snow as well and you have an amazing slow killer.
Yup my thoughts exactly. If you max phisical you can even one shot some less fortunate monsters. On bosses yeah there are better options for sure. Tried Murmure on Crimson Avatar and it was no fun at all...
I would Slide WarBow in here as a Special Mention just for Confusion, Enchant that with Snow and there you go, Not Only is the Enemy Confused but now he is also Slower with that in Mind that Enemy is now ready for a Session of Ass Whooping as you Easily Knock them while Maneuvering around their slow Speed.
Pair Bow with Pistols, Carry an Obsidian of both weapons then Meteor of both also. Murmure is worth it, for the Bird mask you could end up killing all of them without it dropping you will need to wait for them to respawn, I try to get it asap in the beginning as well as looting for Power Coils x 2.
Thank you kindly for all the helpful videos, they have given my guidance as I explore Aurai for the very first time. Literally explore; 400+ game days without choosing a faction. Anyway, I do have a question. Can I enchant Enkindle on the Obsidian bow, before legacy chesting it to the Meteoric bow. I assume it would not matter, but I'd figure I'd ask. Again, thank you for all of the wonderful guides! "I've filled my water skins, checked my rations, packed my tent and have left Berg to travel south to Caldera. I've heard the tales, but have yet to make the journey...until now."
I consider enchantments for all top 5 weapon videos, but no the iron weapons haven't made it yet. They will probably be in the one-handed axes video. Its just that they are really good. Not super unique are anything but very good. Kind of the same as vampiric weapons.
As much as I love meteoric bow it's durability is really bad. It states 400 but it breaks very fast when I used it in the past. It was a really fun build though with white kintsugi armor, levant damage bonus and a meteoric axe when they come melee. I had a guide video on the build but set it as unlisted a while back. My "pure" bow build now is jeweled bird mask, manawell armor, master trader boots enchanted with flux. You go mercenary, wild hunter, and rogue engineering for unhampered dodge. Set up complex traps within dungeons/caves then mow them down with arrows. If you join sororbean academy for logistics expert passive skill you become even faster too and can have tsar bow as a backup. I use either zhorms bag (10% Stam reduc) or the 110 trading bag to hold as many arrows / charges for traps. After all said you get 18%speed from boots, 19% bird mask, 10% manawell armor, 10% mercenary skill, 5% logistics expert skill. A total of 62% movement speed, if you wanted to go as physically fast as possible replace rogue engineering with speedster and stack 4 alertness levels for another 20% and consume speed food or assassin elixir for another temporary 15% speed. The max speed with all that is 97% absolutely insane.. But I find rogue engineering is more fun to play around than speedster for bow build.
There was a video a while back of a bow/spear build that utilized speedster to del crazy damage with bow skills. I never liked the ide of switching off the bow so much but it seemed really strong regardless. Speed it just too goo for bow builds because you can back up constantly and with the jewel bird mask its unfair. I think a lot of the bows hurt in terms of durability. Just because you have to shoot so many arrows it eats away quickly. Although it is probably better if you get a ton of fire damage bonus to cut down on arrows. I think that's what I did and probably why I didn't notice it as much.
Nice list but I still prefer the Masterpiece Bow in all occasions.. the Caldera mobs may be resistant to physical damg but I can still kill in 3-4 hits.. enchanted with whiplash demolishes mobs..
It's really odd to see you play with the Meteoric bow, but you NEVER actually light anyone on fire or holy blaze. Surprised that Masterpiece Bow wasn't on your list.
This is a good point. I actually did not enchant the meteoric bow for the gameplay. it would have been a good idea, but I was trying to show how powerful it was and can still get more powerful. (Masterpiece bow is also a great one I have to admit.)
That's why you use enchantment that lights on fire. To light on fire and inflicts Holly blaze later. Though, works only on tough enemies as other usually die faster, lol
I will ALWAYS use legacy shenanigans. If they’re gonna let me use characters as mules without needing a friend as a go between, you better bet I’m gonna do it. Honestly, there should have been waaaay more than just 4 legacy chests, or just let us put 2 items in each chest or something. There are way too many cool legacy items ti get them all the “intended” way
I used meteoric bow for a wile. Until I made character that build around skill damage, as bow have lots of those. Masterpiece bow + patience passive (gained by joining other player with other arena upgrade build and... master khazite body armor, tenebrious boots and scholar circlet, all enchanted for cooldown speed. + heroic kingdom faction for damage pasives. I enchanted bow with raw damage for just in case. I only wish there will be calculator for skill damage, to see it with all pasives buffs
Ooo I have heard of something like this. The idea is really solid. The sniper shot on its own deals loads of damage and takes enemies to half health with out this. Can't imagine how strong that must be.
New player here. Currently running a bow/bow build using coralhorn to inflict pain and then finishing off with the horror bow. Trying to work in a way to build up my speedster alertness stacks atm. I’m bad at melee so I think I’m gonna need to use potions or something
Yes someone already mentioned it here but the old legion spear is an excellent option for this. It is slow, but probe has the same attack speed for all weapon types. So its length really give you and edge when it comes to gaining alertness.
Speedster is killer with bow builds, just build up the stacks switch to bow and melt things. Havin trouble keeping stacks in melee? Craft alertness potions, no more need for melee shenanigans just go full power from the start
Technically. I described it at the very end of this video down below. You should be able to skip to the very end. I used it along with the horror bow since you need a little something for fire enemies.
What about the horror bow. With irrepressible anger and full horror set. With decay potions you end up doing like. 100% decay damage almost 2 shotting enemies
@@SheenShots yeah my bad. I forwarded to see number 1. Then it wasn't at 2 or 3 so I was like whaaaat then watched it all the way then finally seen it lol. Wife an I recently started playing we're addicted so I always watch your vids for how to etc. 🤙
I tried for so long to get that smoke Bow. Its only available in two places and it just never came up in the Calygrey arena and its such a problem to get into the top of the Ark over and over.
Sometimes the weapons in Caldera can be a real pain. The caleygrey arena is a pretty good farming spot for smoke weapons, but on occasion it gives you barrier armor over and over...
I also agree with this option. Although its purely based on cooldown, it really deals damage. The sniper shot skill already does crazy damage. Buffing it further makes it insane.
Sorry about that, dry streaks suck a lot! But keep trying, afterall short handles specifically has a 1/8 chance drop chance from an ornate chest. So unless you are unlucky, you should be able to get it on a single chest run through Caldera.
On some characters I am unlucky and I don't get any pearl bird masks. With others, I get like 3 across a playthrough, lol. Short handles are a myth tho, don't exist.
Oh absolutely. Bows are the one weapon that got be through the entire game with only one death. They are much better than they seem at first and really do damage if you get them enchanted.
To get the tsar bow you need to take the soroboreans faction quest. It is a choice between the tsar bow and tsar chakram at the end of the whole quest. You need to talk to the glowing Immaculate at the end of a massive fight and he offers it to you I believe.
The Astral Bow with a Snow enchantment is like cheating in every fight. It gives your bow +5 frost damage (round up to 6 with the 10% bonus on the bow) and your bow applies slow with every shot. Correct! These are the ACTUAL top 2 best bows in the game 🤘🏼
Meteoric w/ Enkindle is top 3 for sure though on the right build

That vampiric bow might be the most creative bow I have ever seen in anything. Damn.
Its got a very interesting design. Also its massive. Takes up basically the same amount of space as your character.
I totally overlooked the meteoric bow. That might be the first top 5 Outward video where I was totally suprised by the first place, but I cannot deny these stats.

lol i have yet to see one :'>
nice video. I love the view of the side. never looked at bows that closely and they look awesome.
Thanks, I thought they looked pretty cool like that as well. At the end I had like 80 arrows stuck into the side of the wall there lol
Legacy chest shenanigans are a feature of the game, so I say abuse the hell out them. Ain't nobody got time to try and farm multiple pearlbird masks
I agree. The system is really cool and fun to use, but abusing it gets things done much faster. For a game that already takes a long time to complete its nice to have a quicker way to get though the item preparation.
I just found 4 of those this week without ever looking for them. Maybe it's because I'm playing the definitive version.
Glad to see a meteoric weapon make the list for once 😅

This is definitely another great option. I maybe didn't put in enough time with it or something, but I remember you saying it was your favorite bow.
Nothing beats Murmure for me for the fun factor. Two shooting most enemies never gets old. Meteoric bow shines with the dot damage on bosses tho.
Yup my thoughts exactly. If you max phisical you can even one shot some less fortunate monsters. On bosses yeah there are better options for sure. Tried Murmure on Crimson Avatar and it was no fun at all...
@@xorjonas8472 same, although going against the Crimson avatar with any pure physical build, is not the best idea. Learned that the hard way.
