Nothing gets me more excited to play outward than watching the halberd in action. Such a unique, powerful weapon that makes the game irresistible. If you have not tried any one of these weapons on Sheens list PLEASE go try it. This video is a beautiful example of what makes outward so unique and each and every one of these weapons is absolute bliss to play with. Fricking great video SheenShots keep it up bro!
Thank you for a great comment as always! Halberds really are a very special melee weapon on this game. They provide excellent combat abilities against man enemies and have special abilities other weapon types don't always get. Duty and Dreamer especially seem to be an absolute blast compared to many weapons in Outward. Love the halberd to death.
poisoned and extreme poison are mutually exclusive. The build up for all the dots of crumbling anger is around 20-30% so it requires 4-5 hits in order to inflict them. For most enemies, that gap of 5 hits before the dots start means sanguine cleaver's other enchant is better. Abomination: You can get 58 impact, 54 damage, and extreme bleeding on a polearm with 1.0 speed and 6.5 stam usage. At that point it's not too far behind the Tsar halberd, only 4 points less of impact and 13 less damage, but you hit 20% faster with it and it costs 1.2 less stamina per swing. I think overall that makes it the better weapon, because its damage per second is just better than the tsar when you factor speed.
tsar weapon is the weapon of speedster build. it was meant to be used with skill, not normal attack. and since dlc, stacking cooldown reduction is easier than ever, and you can get up to 70% cd reduction i believe only with armor and skill. moon swipe is 30s. with 70% cdr, you can spam moon swipe in 9s interval. and with potion + logistic expert, it become 90% cdr and you can spam your beloved moon swipe every 3 seconds. pair it with other skill, like brace, predator leap, counterstrike, splitter, even probe, you character will dance around in combat, you can practically disable your left click or assign it to other action if you play on pc. so, infuse wind become useless? no, tsar weapon + infuse wind means means extra rage boon, but stronger. you can knock down almost any creatures in one moon swipe, even if they're blocking.
This is why the tsar halberd might be my favorite tsar weapon. It has incredible potential with cooldown and moos swipe. I found the idea of disabling your main attack kind of funny as it would actually work well with this but it seems like it shouldn't😂
The Dreamer halberd deserves the fist place just for being the best gargoyle (most annoying enemy ever lol) annihilation tool. On top of that, it's an excellent weapon in general.
I think the Crescent Scythe is worth an honorable mention. It is not a late game weapon, the Elemental debuf is great and it is fast. For a Hexmage or with the right varnish quite interesting. It has decent stopping power and is relativly easy to craft now that pitchforks are respawning. Also even if it doesn't have cool enchantments it can make good use of the standard ones. If you like scythes I think it is worth a try. Sanguine Cleaver is one good example for patching done right. Before the entchantments there was no point to this weapon. I like it but my personal favorite is Duty mostly because I like how it looks. Also Dreamer halberd is a deserved spot one. Only downside to this weapon is that it doesn't combine well with the candle plate set.
I honestly should have considered the Crescent Scythe. I didn't even think about it because I never craft it. But having that elemental vulnerability is really powerful. I will 100% agree with you on the Sanguine Cleaver and Duty is really nice. I myself prefer Duty in most situations but I put Sanguine Cleaver over it just because it has some crazy potential. Dreamer is gorgeous, nothing else to say about that lol.
Good list! The dreamer halberd is my favorite as well. Looks so cool, fast, high durability and hits hard. The only problem i've been having with polearms is that Moon Swipe is only hitting the enemies on the first swipe, the second passes through them... Don't know if it is a general bug or i broke something haha
This can happen occasionally due to goofy hitboxes. My issue is that a lot of times if your impact is high enough enemies get knocked back in the first hit and the second misses. I try to minimize this by moon swiping after I knock an enemy. But still an unbelievable skill that hits like a truck.
@@SheenShots working on the dreamer halberd and will look at the scythe. what armour do you recommend? I'm rocking master trader at the moment to run around the map.
I'm trying to decide what I want more. A tsar halbert or a tsar claymore. I'm doing a build that relies heavily on fire. My rotation generally goes... Pre fight; Warm> infuse fire> fire sigil. During fight; elemental discharge> spark inside fire sigil> brace> physical attack till staggered> Counter-Strike> physical attack till staggered. Depending whether or not I use a halbert or a claymore Moon swipe or pommel counter? I was originally using the dreamer. Albert, but I had to switch over to something that did a little more lightning damage for and actually started really liking claymores. Now I'm ready to upgrade to a tsar weapon because I'm tired of my weapon breaking in the middle of dungeons and I legitimately can't decide which one I like better.
Pilgrim armor is probably one of the coolest looking sets in the game. It has that really nice wolf crest on it and loads of pockets. Feels like a try tanky adventurer.
Dreamers Halberd for me. I would really love to try the Tsar weapon but I have never won a battle with any Litch. I have learnt long time ago I go without.
Luckily the jade lich is the easiest. Just wear silver armor and get the decay boon on to become nearly immune to his damage. Dreamer is hard to be though I will admit.
I can try to get it out soon lol. Having a really hard time with this weapon because there are essentially three weapons tied for first rn 😂. Not really ideal, but at least we know there are great options!
Basically wait for an enemy to attack and then counter with moonswipe. That's about it. The weapon has decent range too, but that skill usually deals more damage than regular hits. Although if you use dreamer halberd you can just press the attack button over and over and just win. High impact and excellent damage makes the thing ridiculous.
Thrice Wrought is not a bad weapon. It is good and that is it. The best part of it is the fact that it deals only elemental damage. So you can get into increasing that quite a bit. Also it has some pretty high impact which makes it great. The only downside is dreamer halberd is much better and since they are both halberds it makes using thrice wrought not an optimal choice (depending on build.) Easy to get as well which is a plus for it.
I find I dont even consider Arena boss items/weapons as items/weapons in the game or parts of a build. By that point, you're done with the game. I feel the whole point to even grind and make a finished build in this game is to take on the arena bosses, so anything after that is just meaningless
Well another big issue with it is the porcelen weapons. Items lie skycrown, starchild, and sunfall axe. Each of these is easy to find and relatively early on. And most are better than the arena weapons anyway. Don't get me wrong, some of the armor and weapons are really useful. But overall you can make builds just as good if not better without them. i have streamed the full game numerous times now, and I rarely do the arenas. They are only for the ultimate challenge but not meaningful reward is kind of sucky.
With a pure physical build I managed to get the Tsar Halberd to 148 physical damage with plenty of room to go even higher. That level of physical is nuts paired with Moon Swipe and the impact it makes it so safe. I also got Thrice-Wrought Halberd to do decent damage if you use adventurer armour with Spirit of Cierzo, but not enough to be worth it compared to Tsar or Duty
The tsar halberd is something special fore sure. Even a normal attack can stagger an enemy past 50% of their stability bar sometimes which grants you insane possibilities once you get further buffed.

my favourite is Duty because of holy blaze and it looks nice
Holy blaze is such a great thing to have. And duty hits really hard too.
thanks for a next episode of top 5! :D
You bet! Thanks for watching!

Absolutely. I have fought many a gargoyle and that is by far the best thing to wreck them with. Great weapon.
Hey sheen! Pls make a mace top 5
(or 10. Can you also include marble morningstar? Thank you).

Wish proboina's change to the Thrice-Wrought Halberd was base game.
If memory serves, it’s technically a revert. It used to be that way way back in the day.
Honestly. It just needs that ethereal to be amazing. Now its just good and nothing better.
Its not exact I don't think in terms of the numbers, but its essentially a revert ya. Wish I knew why they took it out tbh.

I love the thrice wrought halberd lore. Very glad I didn’t sell it.
I'm looking at building a polearm/bow build - thanks for the inspo!
You bet! I highly recommend the scyth as its pretty unique. Or just dreamer halberd as it one of the contenders for best weapon in outward.
@@SheenShots working on the dreamer halberd and will look at the scythe. what armour do you recommend? I'm rocking master trader at the moment to run around the map.
Fang halberd one love ☠
Ah I need to try more of the savage fang weapons tbh.
I'm trying to decide what I want more. A tsar halbert or a tsar claymore.

I'm trying to get the Duty halberd, Pilgrim armor and Glowstone backpack cause I think they'll look good together.

for you maybe. I have so much of a challenge just making it into the building. When I make it with less than 3 defeats is a great plus for me.
Will Sheen realese video about great axes before I start a new playthrough?
Find out in next episode!
I can try to get it out soon lol. Having a really hard time with this weapon because there are essentially three weapons tied for first rn 😂. Not really ideal, but at least we know there are great options!
моя любимая алебарда та, которую делаешь из акульих плавников она самая быстрая и навешивает уязвимости к стихиям
Ah yes that is a very good weapon as well. I may need to try it sometime as honestly I have never made it more than once.
Nice Vid again awesome
Thank you!
Now get the manawall set and make a purple ranger xD
Yes I really need to don't I 😂
@@SheenShots Because OF COURSE!
Thank you 🙏🏻🙌🏻
No problem!
Where is crumbling anger enchantment
try more of the Savage one with Favorable wind enchant
Oh I really like that one too. The impact is amazing.
dreamer halberd is black knight halberd from dark souls 1
I Have no Idea how to Use a Halberd, I'm so bad at it I had a hard time against a Golem.

Yeah another top 5, i like the reaper
Reaper is AWESOME!
So is the thrice wrought halberd just garbage then either way I’m still going to use it.

@@SheenShots alright
It can't be forgotten that if you have discipline and enrage active, the sanguine cleaver will apply all debuffs in one moonswipe
Exactly. Which means two hits and run away while the enemy dies. Really fun for more challenging enemies that you just don't want to deal with.
