I used to play Paladins a lot instead of Overwatch, but it just became more broken with every update... kinda like Overwatch. Who knows if Marvel Rivals will follow in those same footsteps.
I wouldn't say broken, more like the skill is less required. Early champions since day one: Skye, Viktor, Androxus, Fernando, Ying, and even Makoa can still be successful on their own, it is only up to the user to know the mechanics. I can't say the same for the worst champions: Willow, Inara, Raum, Furia, and Talus, since they practically need other team members to support them while needing the team to be balanced in terms of team management. I will say this, Octavia is BUSTED AS HELL!!!
@@carmelomarchena4491 No, I meant literally broken. As in it was so buggy that it became unplayable for me, as well as removing a bunch of useful chat commands and probably some other shit I'm not thinking of atm. Although OW is unplayable because of balance and game design, not technical integrity. If Paladins was on Unreal Engine 5 and didn't have hitboxes the size of the Giza pyramids, it would be a better game than OW and Marvel.
That's a big sacrifice. Sure, this game is absolutely outdated, but you also have to take to account the amount of content this game has, and most of it is hard to replicate. Sure the game may freeze up or struggle to find a match balanced for experience, and yes this game has too many locked champions. Yet, this game has many gameplay aspects that, yes Marvel Rivals done better, but it is the time of innovation. If it wasn't for Ying making clones that heal, attack, or warp, what would Loki's gameplay in Marvel Rivals had to take. Online Play is far from perfection, even at average. It is only where I take charm into what the game has provided for me during my 7 years playing it. Whenever the game allows you to play, it is like overwatch, but more mechanically defiant in terms of entertainment. Overwatch 2 has yet to redeem itself from all the sacrifices it has made for the worst.
@@carmelomarchena4491 That's what I'm saying, bro. If Paladins had the technical integrity of Overwatch, it would blow every other hero shooter off the market. But Hi-Rez are D1 game abandoners. Like I legit think the character designs are on par with the ones in Marvel, and what little lore paladins has could be expanded into something interesting. This game has so much untapped potential, and it's just being wasted. They need to make a Paladins 2 or update or something, but actually put effort in it.
