"Apache Kafka is an event streaming platform used to collect, store and process realtime data streams at scale." Trying to repeat this 101 times as fast as possible without messing me up! :-)
As I am watching Mr. Tim Burglund's videos on Kafka (this and others), my whole understanding of Distributed System design is shifting and transforming. He personifies a deep understanding of event streaming. Many thanks.
Please add one more video about how kafka is used in real world. like how netflix uses kafka to show as user interest, how microservices uses kafka for communicating etc.
What an amazing series! Thank you for arranging this Confluent. And, Tim - Thanks a lot. Confluent is lucky to have you :)

Tim: "Serialization and Deserialization; We came up with those words ourselves" :D
Loved that bit. The humour helps :D
@@kippert1987 oh, it was humour!
What a great speaker!
Good to see you Tim..
ayyy you talked with my class!
The event is something that happened in the system. The key in the event is not unique to the event, but it may be representing some kind of entity.
Thank you!
Feedback: A few practical visual examples would've been helpful while you were speaking.
Thank you ever so much
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤 I love you Tim and Thank you sooooooo much.
Are Strings primitive? String is a class with methods.
Where can we buy that tshirt?!
That is a really nice t-shirt
And Kafka is really nice too!
I'm guessing you were joking when you said "we came up with that" for the term "serialisation" right?
quiet Adam
I was also confused, haha "Is he really being that sarcastic right now?"
@@franciscoicarocs did it look that he was joking ?

Title says 2023 but video has been uploaded in 2020. How does that work?
That most likely is supposed to mean that the video is still relevant.
you got all this white space next to your head while talking. you could put json and keys and value examples there next time.
Didn't really get the sarcasm about MBA holders in the beginning.
Too much theory and less explanation
