Hi, thank you so much for your tutorial. I am using a domain email which already connected to gmail. May I ask that is this mail merge enable to send bulk emails which using the domain email as the "sender"? Because there seems no choice for the senders, but I need to send the emails by the domain email. thanks so much!
How to add cc, bcc in the mail? Also is there a way to follow up automatically by scheduling the email or we have do it manually?

It is January 2024. I don't have a mail merge tag. I've built my own spreadsheet and am trying to use the 'two people' icon on the "To" line to use the built in gmail method of mail merge with a spreadsheet. But trying both {{ }} and @ for the variable names, it doesn't work.

Spreadsheet is unmodified. Anyone knows why the placeholders in my draft email are not picking up the data in the spreadsheet. I'm copying and pasting and there is no errors in the name in the email draft. Please advise if you know what is going on. Thanks

FYI: I dont know if the script has changed since this video was made. But you no longer need to add the {{Recipient}} template string into the "To" field as the script code already takes the {{Recipient}} column fields and saves to an Array Variable to handle this. So you can leave the "To" in the email blank and it will still work.
I could not make this work if the draft email in gmail was closed. Might make sense but inconvenient.

Its not working. The body wont recognize the {{}} fields - Anyone knows what the instruction is to add field to the body of the email? or is there another command that has to be added to the MailMerge?

Only seems to work once. Do we need to make a copy each time we want to email?
For me, nothing pastes in the mail that is between the brackets. I copy, double brackets but still nothing pastes when I get the mail. How can I fix this? Thanks

How come I get this message "Invalid argument: inlineImages" on the email sent column when I add a pic to the email draft? Pictures are essential in the bulk emails I need to send out and I can't imagine the developers of MailMerge wouldn't create this with people like me in mind that need to attach Pictures on these emails, smh. This is frustrating please help, am I doing something wrong? There must be some way to send emails with pics right? If you delete the "email sent" date stamp, it will send again, how about if you don't delete the date stamp, will it skip it or re-send the email? Just need to know a trigger to keep a log and not re-send all of them again, just the blank date stamps.

Hi, I can only seem to run this **once, then the "Email Sent" is never refreshed - it goes from "Running Script" to "Finished Script" without sending anything. Do I need to reset anything to make it run again?
Make sure the "Email sent" cell is blank. once it's written in the revised email won't send

I can't change the name of the 'Recipient' column
I can achieve individual emails BUT am unable to add other recipient specific information in the Body of the email. I've checked I'm using {{ and }} before and after the field name. I am copying and pasting the name of each field within the curly brackets, but nothing is included in the email received. Any suggestions what else I should try? Thanks.
It seems: {{}} tags in the body of the email must be plain text "to be read by the script". I also found when I copied and pasted from Google Sheets, some headings had additional spaces, they also needed to be removed (at the start / end of the field heading), the space between eg {{First name}} worked OK, but if it had {{ First name }} that was not read.

I couldn't find the Mail Merge menu in the copied Google sheet. What's the issue?
IF IT IS NOT WORKING READ THIS:
1. click on the 3 dots next to the bin icon in your composed mail
2. select 'Plain test mode'
3. Delete the contents of 'Email sent' in your spreadsheet.

Try pasting the text without format. Paste it as plain text.
