This is so inspiring! I’ve built a couple of much smaller and simpler box jets after seeing one of your monsters on YT. They fly great and are so cheap to build - and I feel much better about my design “process” after seeing that you also are doing some of the detail design as you’re building. For anyone watching this video wanting to try it for themselves but apprehensive about starting, I’d say just go. A small single 64mm EDF is a great starting point to design something!
Since I was an aerodynamics-obsessed kid I have been working with my hands and when it comes to shaping foams by hand I consider myself advanced and I have dreamed up so many advanced concepts for RC and full size but since my 20s I found that my perfectionsim is causing me to dream up, draw up and start on projects but then give up 100% of the time - my workshops and house are full of started projects that never even got halfway, its like in my mind I convince myself its not going to be perfect enough and completely lose interest and immediately start dreaming of my next revolutionary project - its like concieving of the project is more fascinating to me than actually executing - I wish it wasn't because I have designed things that would really make a difference in aeronautics, full size and scaled - even designed an aeroelastic/hydroelastic? kite hydrofoil that to this day no one has come close to and spent a fortune on composite materials to prototype it but never got past the mockup. I am a designer of bizjet and airliner interiors and liveries and make a good living out of it and never procrastinate in my work its bizarre. Sorry don't know why I vented just now, Im just so jealous of people I identify with who have a good eye and good craftsmanship who finish projects like you. Until I resolve my issues I'll just 'make' vicariously through masters like yourself.
Brent brother you are a brilliant builder. So much fun to watch you create things like this. So looking forward to the rest!
Thanks man! Im super excited about this one so thats saying something
Looks fantastic so far! Great job capturing the scale lines, especially. Eager to see how it turns out!
Watching with interest! Looks like we can both have some shiny new twin-70mm jets at St. G!

Absolutely!!
Super cool wing man. Great build video.
Nice work as usual. Keep going!
Really cool and excellent engineering! Looking forward to seeing more.
Super cool project!!
@@mikeandjeannette thanks mike!
Awesome work! Looks great.
Oh you KNOW I'll like this one! What a rarity for sure!!
Yeah man...i have high hopes!
@@hechtspeed Cannot wait to see this thing in the air 😎👍
Hoping its the perfect box jet. Small..but not too small...great performance in a user friendly package
@@hechtspeed Yours and Andy's previous box jets set the standard. I have no doubt this will exceed that!
Very cool buddy! 😎
Thanks!
I applaud your genius 👏 ❤
Thanks!

There's a real one on display at Torrance Airport part of the Western Museum of Flight
Yep! 1 of 2. Seen it!
Will it be 1/4 scale like your T-28?
Nope its only 66" long
@@hechtspeed that’s fairly large
@@samac4750 well the t38 is 144" lol
