As an Ex Bradenton Fl. native my 2 neighbors had Pontoons. In my opinion they do not do well at all in rough water.They were excellent in the Manatee River unless it got too choppy. I had to pull my next door Neighbors in after the motor broke loose from its mount. The only thing that stopped the motor from going to the bottom was the cables.

Jack that depends on the specific length and model but the draft average is 14 inches on our V-Toon's.
