I’m proud you’re having a positive attitude about transitioning into a new career. It’s not gonna happen overnight but you’re getting out there and trying to get some clients even if they think you’re a store employee 😂. Hopefully by placing business cards in various locations will bring you business. Maybe put on the back a promotion like $5 off your first cut. This will give them a little push everyone loves a good discount 😊. And when they come in to get a cut they will see how talented you are and hopefully become a regular client. I believe you have the determination to succeed you showed it when you went into shop knowing y’all didn’t have power just to see if you could get a cut for that day now that’s dedication. Keep grinding and believing in yourself it’s only up from here. You started with 4 cuts next it will be 10 and will only increase from there just keep grinding and thinking positive. And those house were definitely out my price range 😜
your approach is real friendly and memorable, even if people dont go themselves they might recommend u to their friends so them cards might change the game for u. i also think leaving them in shops that allow you to will help a lot, even if its just one or two extra people coming ur way. do it got the barbershop address on it? if the apron had the shop info on it it mighta helped you instead of people thinkin you was an employee lmao. im in the process of starting from scratch so seeing your process helps a lot. this time it was 4 heads in a week, soon itll be double that then triple, stay strong keep grinding! and to your question about how much them houses cost, out of my price range thats for sure😂
Thank you I’m glad I could help and the cards have the address on it so i definitely will invest in a new apron or something with my name on it lol 💆🏾♂️
This is only a test this to shall pass you cannot give up because anything worth having you have to put some time in it keep going and when you thinking about giving up that when your break though going to show up.I believe you will finish very well ❤
Bruh I would just invest in a setup at home and then charge 20-25 a cut for friends and family and have them use word of mouth so you can build a clientele after getting your clientele up go apply at a barber shop let your folks know and then tell them shop minimum went up $5 or so and most if not all will stay and now you have steady clientele and appointments booked and can do after hour calls at your own spot for extra bread
I appreciate it but it’s a little too late for that I’m already in a shop and I don’t have any friends or family out here. But that’s good advice for maybe someone younger still in school or someone that’s from here
Keep grinding. Don’t worry about the views. Just keep going. Before you know it, you up ⬆️ 🔥💪
