- Recently Riot released a State of the Agents article saying "3X as many players believe Brim is too weak versus too strong, but he has one of the highest win rates in higher MMRs". This video shows gameplay footage of how I play Brimstone in high MMR (Immortal 3+).

In my opinion, Brim is a multiplier agent. He won't carry in lower ELOs as well as other agents but in higher ELOs where your team doesn't ego peek (as much) and knows how to play post plant, he is very effective. There, one lineup can be the difference between winning or losing a round.
i think people just fail to see the value of brim. and low elo brim players doesnt understand how to actually use his kit. compared to omen, brim is way better at getting his team in, faster smokes, and can send down 3 at the same time while also speeding in his team. some people tend to thin brim ult is for kills, when really its a zoning tool that must be respected, if not u die. i will normally prefer brim over omen any day of the week in a vaccum, unless there is other reasons to get omen. viper is kinda her own thing, dont like to compare them as much. also brim smokes are dense, harder for enemies to sit in.
You'd be surprised in higher ELOs alot of people still don't want or know how to play post plant. I 100% agree that 1 lineup can be the difference sometimes

Idk about that, depends on the team... there are some games where getting the plant down would be hella hard

I love seeing someone push a character or thing that people think is "okay" or even "bad" and showing them just how good they can be. Like these late round defuse stalls with ult and molly are so unique and people just don't expect it. The weapon choice is also cool too, since it's taking options that most would not really think about and putting them into the situations where they are good (like hiding in smokes or using that stim to peek the angle faster than someone would expect) USING the character.

perry how should i learn HUD lineups if i play on stretched?(my monitor will have black bars if i play on 16:9)
Unfortunately I dont have videos for stretched but hopefully you can use the ones I made as reference but they might need slight adjustments through trial and error

whats scary about brim is his simplicity coupled with the accuracy of his abilities, even his molly is arguably can be accurate if understood enough. With that players can focus their brain power on other stuff

you know do you always go for lineups or it just depends on the situation? I struggle with the idea of whether I should go for a lineup or just stick with my team and stall instead
It definitely depends on the situation and how the enemy team is playing. Sometimes I can't even go for them if the enemy team retaking fast. Through more experiences/scenarios you will come to learn when to go for lineups. Learning lineups for the same spot from multiple locations also increases your options. Hope that helps!

So your videos are mostly post plant clutch situations, my question is how often do those happen, like how often do you get to use lineups. Awesome vid btw.
if ur team plays correctly, pretty often. u just need ur team to play time, which many ppl dont understand the concept of. no need to kill the enemies, just gotta make sure they cant defuse. make it clear to ur team what the plan is, then it happens way more often. multiple times per game isnt unusual. these shown in vids tend to show like 100% all lineups, but even just a molly and then the rest guns can be enough time to make the enemies run away.
Thank you for the comment Lesly! These typically happen at a bare minimum 2-3 rounds on attack side if its not a complete shut out. But sometimes it doesnt happen at all and really depends also on the team you go against. If its a team that retakes fast sometimes its not possible/optimal to play post plant
